Cunha's voted.
Schild und Schwert der Partei"Cunha, you're a gangster. And what holds you in power smells like sulfur. I vote for (names every single martyr in Braizlian history). I VOTE NOOO" - Deputy Glauber.
Holy shit son.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Bolsonaro now! Can anyone translate or explain the gesture the guy behind him (I think it was his son) was doing, by putting his right thumb in the palm of his left hand and rotating his right hand up and down.

Schild und Schwert der ParteiMy memory is terrible and he said a lot of shit, but in effect he said something like "I'd like to thank you (Cunha) for helping us in this historic day, now (names a bunch of parties) has lost, and we have won. I do this for the Brazilian family, against communism, for our freedom, for the people in the streets, for (some dead martyr), I vote no!".
Jean's speech was pretty epic too.
And that gesture means theft. The guy in the background is basically saying Bolsonaro is a thief, I believe.

"All you Fascists bound to lose."Cheers buddy! I'm going to watch until it gets down to 190 and go to bed. Night!
Schild und Schwert der ParteiIs it looking likely that the inpeachment is going to happen? I don't have access to a tv atm.
Currently it is 242 yes, 80 no, with 184 still to vote.
There are 4 abstentions and 2 absents.
Schild und Schwert der Partei241 for. 342 are required for the impeachment to go through.
186 votes to go. It's still early too tell, because a lot of Northeastern states (where the PT has its powerbase) are yet to vote, but either way it'll probably be a very close shave.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."All I know is how tomorrow will be an unbearable day if you keep tabs on any social media with heavy Brazilian presence.
If the era of TL;DR huge facebook posts and bullshit articles filled with half-truths and propaganda weren't already annoying enough since Dilma's reelection, tomorrow they will up to a whole new level.
Inter arma enim silent legesTomorrow will be a interesting day indeed.
I have an assignment, but it's hard to do an assignment when this stranger than fiction shit is going on.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Good thing I basically don't use FB and none of the people i'm following on twitter are brazilians lol
I don't know about you guys but I am planning to spend my late Monday hammered with booze, I am so glad the laboratory I have access to use for my research only has me frequently entering it, because the rest of my college will certainly have some protest or some other bullshit on.
Inter arma enim silent legesI don't really leave my house unless i'm going jogging or going to the supermarket (unemployed currently and not in university), so I think i'll be alright on that front unless there's some massive protest near where I live.
I sorta stopped paying attention to the political situation of the country after I spent ten days at a hospital, and not long afterwards college started. It feels weird that that the voting is finally happening, and it's a little scary 'yes' seems to be winning. But either way we're in a bad situation...
I guess I'm gonna go back to studying, and pay more attention if a coup or something else appears on the horizon...
Only 16 more votes for the 'Yes' to pass the process to the Senate.
Damn, Brazil goes nuts and I wait until the last minute to learn the first thing about it.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.Only two more votes to go.
We're doomed.
Now just one.

"All you Fascists bound to lose."Dark times ahead, friends.
Let's hope that this doesn't last long.
The impeachment has passed!
Sick of everything.People are cheering and even lighting fireworks outside.
I'm scared.
So, how likely is the Senate to convict the president?
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects. Can't say I wouldn't be worried.
Also today I learned the literal clown dude is still a deputy.
Anyhows, best of luck, Brasil and Ecuador!
And that's how I ended up in the wardrobe. It Just Bugs Me!Scared of what, exactly?
A large part of me thinks it's unlikely.

Sick of everything.
Won't be long now, we're in his state.
I wonder if someone will say something like "Jacques de Molay, you are avenged."
Cunha's vote is amusingly prophetic: "God have mercy upon this nation. I vote yes."
