Yeah, I'm doing it this year. The county library is holding write-ins, so I'm going to try to go to those.
...Usually I quit part ways through, usually two weeks. I'm hoping to try to at least write for the whole month instead of quitting. I have two solid ideas (one I'll focus on) so it'll help.
Life is hard, that's why no one survives.I'm participating, but not in the conventional way. I'm gonna be doing Zero Draft Thirty, which is the poor-man's substitute for Script Frenzy (since it doesn't exist anymore). And I'm not even following the main suggestion: I've got at least 20 short films I can write, so I'm gonna hammer out as many as I can, hopefully reaching 100 pages altogether.
Fun fact: 1 minute of film = 1 page of screenplay = about 200 words. 100 pages = about 20,000 words. That's my goal.
Award-winning screenwriter. Directed some movies. Trying to earn a Creator page. I do feedback here.I promised myself I would decide which story I was doing before tonight's end but I have four premises to choose between. If it gets to 11:30 and I still don't know then I'll roll a die.
I was thinking maybe, but I dislike working on schedules, plus, rather than doing any actual writing, I'm exploring the ideas of what my story represents. Is that a bad idea?
First year for me! I'm excited!

I think I should try, as well.
"Any campaign world where an orc samurai can leap off a landcruiser to fight a herd of Bulbasaurs will always have my vote of confidence"I'm going to be trying this, too. I'll attempt to finish the story I tried to write for 2013. That year I got to just over 8300 words. So, this year, I've got a bit of a head start, as well as taking this week and the last week of the month off. I hope I won't get too distracted by life and this website to pull it off this year.
The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.Doing it for the first time, and I'm at 3,366 words. SUPPORT MEH!
it's a Pokemon fanfic
Currently writing something. Currently procrastinating.Well, I'm two days in and I'm at 4,407 words so far. So go me?
That's awesome!
Currently writing something. Currently procrastinating.I will say that writing my novel today was bit harder than writing it yesterday. However I was still able to make my word count quota.
Serial attempter of Nano-ing here. I won once. Now, after a year of only occasionally writing, I started a new novel.
I'm 7000 words in and haven't even gotten to the main plot yet. Haha, padding!
Sweet! I'm at 6886, but I haven't started writing yet today.
You know what the hardest part of NaNoWriMo is? Keeping track of your daily quota. Because Writers Cannot Do Math.
Currently writing something. Currently procrastinating. Most word processors have an automatic word counter.
I'm at 10361, almost hit the actual plot.
As of last night I'm at 2111.
I've also discovered that, since my screenwriting software doesn't have a Word Count function, I have to use a workaround: Export as a PDF, copy the text of the script, and paste into my general-purpose word processor. (I also delete the page numbers.)
Award-winning screenwriter. Directed some movies. Trying to earn a Creator page. I do feedback here.Right now my biggest NaNo stumbling block is my schedule. I work 35 hours a week, I'm the lead in a play, and I'm preparing to move out of my family's house toward the end of the month, so I'm also in the middle of a job hunt. Weekends would be my only free time if I hadn't already booked them with putting posters up for the play on Saturday and job interviews on Sunday.
Really glad I'm only doing 20,000 words. Any more and I might go insane.

Award-winning screenwriter. Directed some movies. Trying to earn a Creator page. I do feedback here.I'm at an impressive 15000 words but I've jumped around a bit in the story world with the only purpose being to illustrate over and over again just how shameless and pathetic people are now that the world is ending. It was fun writing some of these chapters but I think come to the second draft, they're getting the cut.
For me, Im now at 13,652 words, and of course only now am I getting the dreaded loss of interest and writer's block. Hopefully I'll pull through and get this finished. Out of all the projects I've started, this is the one I want to finish.
I'm struggling with loss of interest, too. Last Wednesday, I got myself a New Nintendo 3DS along with Xenoblade Chronicles, and my motivation has gone right out the window.
The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever.Hoo boy, I'm only a little over 10000 words. Still plenty interested, though, thankfully. But I missed a day and I need to catch up a LOT.
By the way, if you guys need recommendations of music to listen to while writing, I recommend basically any Undertale track ever. If they suit you depends on the mood/genre you're writing and whether you like video game music in general, of course, but it might help to be a great inspiration.
And Steven Universe music is also amazing, though the person who put the soundtracks up on YouTube has gotten his channel terminated. >~<
Currently writing something. Currently procrastinating.I myself tend to use rock music and the Heathers soundtrack whenever I'm writing. Probably because I'm writing a dark story.

I was a day behind because I stayed up until 12AM reading various Game of Thrones trivia instead of writing (or even reading the novels, WHICH I HAVE), but I caught up entirely today!
I AM A BAD ENOUGH DUDE TO WRITE 4000 WORDS IN ONE DAY!
I'm about right behind you there, with me having written over 3,000 words in a single day.
Starts tomorrow. Who else is participating? This will be my third year, and I'll admit I'm starting to burn out. Might start a new story instead of continuing the old one.
