Opened.
It works.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"I'm not sure it's a good idea, but not necessarily because it's a bad image. If the Trope Repair Shop forum ever starts accepting new threads, I want to suggest we change Four Temperament Ensemble to use the DISC profiling names for the temperaments (Inspired Influencer, Dominant Driver, etc.) instead of the four humors. The DISC names are much more descriptive of what the temperaments are like than the humors are; I still have no idea which temperaments go with which humor, even after all my time on this site. DISC would work better for the image, too, since the DISC method aptly illustrates the profiles using charts with the axes labeled Introvert/Extrovert and People-Oriented/Task-Oriented, and is also much easier to understand that the humors method, which seems to assign the temperaments to the humors basically at random.
I don't know if we can actually do that, though, or if people will agree with me, because the only place I know of where I could ask isn't accepting new threads. >.>

The image works. It showcases the four temperaments quite nicely.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportI agree but the one on the bottom-left is pixelated and the bottom-right has an incredible small watermark on its side.

I can't even see the image, so I dunno what's up.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? Here's◊ an imgur link.
Even better!

she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportThat an actual group? Because I am pretty sure it's not.
You can't just pluck out 4 people in a huge cast and claim this, it's gotta be an outright 4 ensemble group like the 4 characters in A Channel [1]◊[2]◊ there is already a ton of misuse as is, I do not think we need more via just 4 random people with the right personalities.

The suggestion is fine, as it's illustrative enough.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?(Damned Internet outage just ate my post. I really hate that the "save draft" code translates into "let's blank whatever was in there if you ever come back to it, even if there's data in there you hadn't copied off anywhere else". Ugh.)
The upper-left and lower-right are related as of Season 4, and Pinkie had more siblings than just the one in a Season 1 flashback, so I'd imagine the other two are related as well. Even excepting that, and instead assuming I had no prior knowledge of the show, that they're related is relatively easy enough to assume provided nothing implies otherwise; it's whether they represent the four temperaments as a whole that matters more, and I suppose they do.
(Of course, I haven't watched any of Season 5. If they aren't Pinkie's relatives, then I'll agree that this is not an example.)

Moon◊If we take the mod comment in the source code serious, My Little Pony would not count as an example because there are three melancholic characters listed for the work.
The suggested image looks illustrative enough. Does it matter that the actual work is not an example?
It's listed as an example on the Western Animation subpage, though. Specifically, the line about "Pinkie and her sisters".
I mean, if this was a picture of the main cast, of which there are six characters, then we'd probably be running into trouble. It's not, though, it's a set of exactly four characters.

Moon◊It's not that there can't be more than one of each in a work, this is specifically about a group of 4, if say a Goldfish Poop Gang was say 4 people and each had a personality to match then that would be it.
The image is just edited together it does not show the group and iirc they are not a group per say, have they ever even been in the same shot?
The trope examples are already trying to fill in groups of 6 or more cause 4 of them have the personality
I am having a hard time finding a group shot for this though aside from Four-Girl Ensemble works though. What about the ones I linked for the anime sub page? Edit: really like this one.◊

Good images before good examples. That said, I'm still iffy about the melancholic pony.

"That an actual group? Because I am pretty sure it's not."
Those four are all sisters. I'm pretty sure that counts as a group.
Anyway, I really like the picture, but if we can make a fully clean version (a cleaner version of the bottom right and no watermark), that'd be even better. On top of that, there's a bit of a discussion on which temperament the bottom two characters represent, since they share common traits with each other (one is stoic and analytical, the other is quiet and timid).
For those who haven't seen the show, here are some clips to demonstrate and determine for yourselves: 1 2

Get a group shot of those 4 and I would support it for the Western Animation subpage but without it being a group shot it really doesn't fit.
Disagree that we need a group shot for this. The four are related; that the creator of the image decided to focus on frames showcasing their temperaments, instead of a single shot containing all four that likely would not, strikes me as irrelevant.

Moon◊One of those in 9 doesn't look illustrative. I'm not sure about the others but it's a concern that "there's a bit of a discussion on which temperament the bottom two characters represent, since they share common traits with each other (one is stoic and analytical, the other is quiet and timid)." I also agree it should be a group shot and there's a lot of misuse so the image needs to be good.
I like. The episode has not a good group screenshot that illustred the trope, separate is better.
Yeah, I was afraid my suggestion was too text-heavy and wouldn't look good at Wiki size. Post 9 is a good compromise, showing the temperaments through facial expressions, so it gets my vote too.
Note that the "choleric" eyelid-pull gesture is unfamiliar to many audiences. Might want to choose a different image for that frame.

Well, I don't know how indispensable an illustration would be for this rather esoteric trope, but when I saw this example I knew it should at least be brought to your attention for you guys to decide.
Here we go.
