I can't wait for Luke Lage and Iron Ist.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I would watch the crap out of a show about Harley Quinn.
I'm really looking forward to Luke Cage, but what is Iron Ist?

Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.Like I said earlier, Daredevil had much better plotting, Jessica had better character writing and vastly better thematic writing. Overall, I preferred Jessica Jones, despite its rather large flaws. It was the more ambitious show, and what it got right, it got really frigging right.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. In other news, Krysten Ritter and Melissa Benoist aren't letting any sort of DC/Marvel rivalry get in their way of women supporting other women
Aw, that's so sweet.
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.I found I couldn't really compare Fisk and Kilgrave. They operate too differently for one to be "better" than the other, it's more up to what type of villain you prefer. Fisk is emotionally more fleshed out and compelling. He succeeds because of his complexity. Kilgrave, however, succeeds in the exact opposite manner. What he lacks in complexity he more than makes up for by being terrifying and, in a way, simple. His inability to grow up emotionally left him a self-absorbed, petulant child with a child's simplistic motivations. When you throw in his powers, that petulance and narcissism become absolutely terrifying as he gleefully gets himself whatever and whomever he wants. Add to that the trauma that's inflicted on the victims of both wanting and not wanting to follow commands, and you get a villain that's absolutely terrifying
Yeah, I think trying to decide which is better between Jessica Jones and Supergirl is a stupid idea. They're meant for very different audiences. The first episode of Supergirl didn't appeal to me, so I didn't watch any further, but I didn't think it was a bad show. I'm glad it exists, and that it's been so well-received.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.I liked them both but I'd rate Jessica Jones somewhat over Daredevil
JJ had me on the edge of my seat near the whole damn time. It was an uncomfortable watch!
The only moment in Daredevil that I recall being similarly tense was when Wesley had Karen in the warehouse
Forever liveblogging the AvengersSame with me.
I would also add that I felt Daredevil's ending to be a bit underwhelming, which was not the case with Jessica Jones.
Daredevil may have slightly weaker characters and themes than Jessica Jones, but altogether it's a better package to me.

I found DD ending with lawful conviction VERY satisfying!
I was referring more to the fight and the costume, to be honest.
Yeah, there was something disappointing about the fight. I think it felt too much like a superhero climax. I like superheroes, and I know it is a superhero show, but up to that point, the show had largely avoided feeling like a standard superhero show. But then the climax threw in a big fight, because it was required by genre conventions.
With Jessica Jones, the show had always been more character-driven, so the climax kept that. It wasn't about a physical battle, it was a battle of wills, and Jessica's will was stronger.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Battle of wills is really a appropriate way to describe it. I like it. Kilgrave only lost because he couldn't resist the prospect of having Jessica. Had him stuck to his original idea and ran when he got the change, he might have survived.
But, yeah, I wouldn't say the finale was perfect, but I found JJ's much more satisfactory.

I have no issues with Dardevil and Kingpin's final fight.
I can't stand Supergirl. It annoys me to no end that yet another show gets away with paying lip service to the concept of feminism why being sexist at every turn.
Any idea what a second season of Jessica Jones could be about?
Well, in the comics, she eventually investigates a group that sells MGH or Mutant Growth Hormone. Since it looks somewhat similar to IGH, perhaps they'll go down that routine, which could be very interesting and lead to Jessica meeting another Jessica, Jessica Drew, Spider-Woman.
I just had an idea of a superhero team where the only things the heroes have in common is the fact that they all have the same name.
The Legion of Jessica.

...The Bruce Initiative would be frightening. Even with two members only.

Oh now you've got me engaged with this thought experiment.
I swear there's four super heroes in the MARVEL universe called Peter, but I can only think of Parker and Quill.
Isn't James the most common name?
I love that we're calling these shows Dee-Dee and Jay-Jay.
You know what would be cool and utterly horrifying to watch? A show about Harley Quinn.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
