Opened.
I like it.
It works.
Check out my fanfiction! Here's hoping that enough people using this site is familiar with either Kamen Riders, Power Rangers, and other similar kinds of works. XP
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I don't get the image, at all.
I'm not crazy about it, either.
Not a fan of OP.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?It's... okay. I'm really on the edge of whether it's clear who the heroes and villains are.
Reaction Image RepositoryI think it's alright. It's certainly better than nothing, but I'd like to see some other options.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"I don't get it.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Aye, that will need an explanatory caption to work.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAw, man.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I don't get villain from the black dress, after all Movie Superheroes Wear Black.
The picture of Skurge the Executioner's Last Stand on TheMightyThor arguably gets both the Villainous and the Valour part of this trope better.
You mean this one◊?
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"That's from a redone version of the story, but sure.
This◊ appears to be the original... I think the improved quality in the redone version actually makes him much more recognizable as a clear villain going out blazing.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Higher-quality version of 16, cropped a bit because of excessive height.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"I'm not sure about that one.
Because of the enemies he fight look rather ghoulish, he actually looks like an average hero.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. The caption could help with that; I think it's better than nothing.
^^ His own appearance is also pretty Blood Knight-y. He could probably pass for a '90s Anti-Hero (who look like villains anyway), but a Beard of Evil and Bald of Evil aren't very common hero appearance tropes. If nothing better is suggested, I think it's good, particularly with a decent caption.
Also, any opinions about the size?

You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Yeah. Given the caption will likely be something like "The last stand of Skurge the Executioner", I'm not too worried about it not being 100% obvious that Skurge is a villain, in the absence of other options.
^^ Huge (and it doesn't need to be IMO), about 600px tall. If text doesn't matter, I think it's better if it's not possible to read. Being illegibly small emphasizes its unimportance. (I tried removing the text entirely, which would be even better, but one of the boxes covers a lot of detail I can't fake.)
It's a good point that his foes are Obviously Evil and that diminishes the clarity that he is a villain. I agree naming him in the caption will help, but could it also mention Evil Versus Evil? (Perhaps as a pothole: The last stand of Skurge the Executioner.)

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. Not a fan of 24 either because it absolutely requires a caption to tell us it's an Evil vs. Evil situation.
Going to vote BUPKIS for now.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?
Villainous Valor currently has no image, and here's my suggestion.
I think it's clear enough that the guy in black is a villain, while the other guys standing are heroes, what with the former being in dark clothings while the latter wears more colorfully.
I think the sentence in the top can be photoshopped off (it means "Every once a while, a man gets a fight he can't run away from no matter what.", by the way).
