Simon at first was afraid of Delta's pointing, thinking that the big man was upset at him or something, but as it continued Simon figured out that he was pointing at the drill pendant. Hesitantly he got up from his chair, walked toward the giant, removed the drill pendant and offered it to Delta. "Back home this is the key for Lagann but in this place it seems to be part of why Gurren and Lagann can be here........I don't know why it does that here though" explained Simon to Delta uncertainly. Kamina jumped in with, "Because Simon, Lagann and that drill right there are part of your being! Those are the drills that you will use to pierce the heavens! Even the Writer bozo understands that!"
The digger boy simply looked down at the drill pendant, being in deep thought.
"It's not a crystal," Arcade said to Anders, letting some of his frustration at Ben out, "it's a radio. It's... Look, I'm not an engineer, just a doctor, but I can tell you it's not magic."
He glared back down at the walkie-talkie as Ben insisted on interrupting the challenge. "Ben, it's their decision what they do," he said, but it seemed like someone else was trying to keep things from getting out of hand.
"I have a name, you know," he groused at Shenhua, "and I just wanted Ben to pass along the message." They had a good excuse to be late getting back, right? They'd done what Dave asked so they could... Take their time.

Ben winced when Shenhua put her hand on his shoulder and held him in place, then snatched the walkie talkie out of his hands.
"Hey!" Ben shouted at her, trying to grasp for the walkie talkie again. "Give that back!" Shenhua asked if he didn't trust the others to rein Rex in.
"Right now I don't trust that jerkwad anywhere near Eve! He's a horrible person who only thinks about himself and doesn't care about anyone else! If I leave them in there with him he'll hurt everyone trying to get glory or something! He can't be reined in! He's too stupid and mean! So I gotta get them out before he hurts them!" Ben insisted, still struggling against Shenhua's grip.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.
Orchid continued to think somewhat deeply about the matter, trying to contextual I've why people would try to kiss if they'really not married and how does one use a muzzle to do so. Seeing Louie get in on the conversation served as a cue for the doll to try her hand at being helpful as well. "You should say... you don't want... to be engaged... if you feel that uncomfortable... with her advices." This was said with the pure honesty of a child.
Delta - Hospital
A child was screaming nearby.
His eye light turning from green to yellow, Delta stomped off down the hall towards the source, not taking care to quiet his footsteps - it was better off if whoever was there heard someone approaching.
Turning the corner, he saw the little boy from earlier, Ben, being manhandled by the Asian woman, screaming and writhing in her grip. Pointing his left forefinger at the woman, he momentarily revved up his drill to try and issue a warning, alongside a roar for extra warning.
"RRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!"

"Oh for the love of the...give me that." Anders reached out to grab Arcade's wrist, pulling the hand holding the walkie-talkie over, speaking into it. "Yes, hi, hello, this is Anders, I'm the man in the pink skirt you were yelling at earlier. Listen, I don't know you, or whoever this Rex person is, or anything of that sort, so as much as I understand and frankly to some degree agree with your wanting to put a stop to whatever this bizarre magic is, I can promise you that interfering in this without having a clear concept of what is happening is not the way to go. Now look, the librarian who makes things out of thin air said the only way to put a stop to this is to either kill or forcefully eject these people out of the spell. Are you willing to kill your friends to get them out of there? Listen, as far as I understand it, they all chose to do this, whatever it is...so you should have some trust in their abilities and respect in their wishes. You can't just force people into doing or not doing something just because you aren't a fan of it."
There was another pause before he spoke again. "Also don't say gay doctor. Gay physician flows much more nicely."

"Which is why she not alone with Rex, but with others. Group look big to me." She replied with a shrug. "Listen to gay physician on the radio and his friend." Shenhua wouldn't agree it flowed better, but perhaps Anders held his own standards for that.
"You insisting to be hero even when you shouldn't is thinking about himself." She reproached Ben, letting go of his shoulder. "Is asking for glory. Sometimes you can't be hero, boy. Sometimes is wise not to be." She chuckled and handed over the walkie talkie. "Really, if Rex that bad, others would kick his ass and he would be here already. They hasn't, so they getting along for now."
It would seem for a moment that she chose to ignore the threatening roar of Delta nearby, but then her eyes turned to the thing in the diving suit, and if looks could kill, Delta would be keeling over already. "So noisy. You not helping, diving man."

Makoto was 90 percent sure the librarian saw her coming, but she didn't say anything, so she kept going. Makoto was just grabbing a paper when the two men left the desk, one of them speaking into a handheld radio.
Well that was pointless of her. She stood up straight and did her best to not look too embarrassed by her own behavior.
“Um, excuse me, Miss? I was told that this was the place to get more information on...uh… whatever this city is.” Makoto said to the librarian. “I guess I'm new here?”
Things were getting too quiet on Ben's side of the conversation. Arcade was wondering what was going on when Anders decided to take over rebuking Ben. It was a good explanation of why he had to wait.
Arcade listened silently, looking at Anders with some gratefulness. And then he continued the "gay doctor" joke. With a glare, Arcade pulled his hand back and grumbled, "or you could use my name," under his breath. He shook his head and said, "we should probably head out."
I say that aloud too sometimes, just: "man, no life."

Ben continued to struggle, trying to escape her grasp. A loud roar caught his attention, and he turned to see Cyclops, roaring in anger at Shenhua. Ben yelped and instinctually readied his watch. Thinking about it... why hadn't he thought of this before?
He fiddled with his watch, and before he could slam his hand on the watch in a bid to escape, Shenhua let go of his shoulder. Now he was free, and he took the opportunity to start dashing towards the stairs that led to the second floor.

"Why you such pain, boy?" For a moment it seemed that Shenhua would be willing to let Ben run right back to the meditation room. Then, her kukri came to life.
Not the blade itself no, but rather the length of licorice rope used together with it. Using the marshmallow blade like a weight, she threw the rope towards Ben's ankle in hopes of catching him. If so, that would be a sudden stop for him - complete with smashing face first into the sweet floor - but nobody ever said Shenhua was a gentle parent. "Have you not heard doctor and his friend? You going there will only make things worse." She chided, approaching him before swiping the walkie talkie again.
"Gay doctor's friend, please bring something for bruises. Ben is being dumbass." She communicated over the line back to Anders.

Hospital Lobby
Caboose nodded along in not understanding to everything being said by Kamina and Simon. The only thing he did get out of it was that the drill was a key to heaven. This didn't really tell Caboose who they were as people yet, but it was a fair bet that he would not come close to reality if his train of thought continued on these rails.
Before he could say something completely irrelevant to the conversation, Delta started running off at the sound of a kid screaming about something, and Caboose readily followed after the diver thing he had designated as a new friend in his mind. And with the sight of Delta running to the aid of a child in need, Caboose had finally figured out what he was: A gallant knight in shining armor that wasn't good at speaking with others and put up a scary roar because he was scared of talking. The only logical conclusion to be drawn from this.
He had little understanding of what was going on, but that never stopped Caboose before. The kid ran away. "Yeah, I think you scared him off," Caboose said to Delta completely seriously, "Yellow is a scary color."
He watched the events play out of Shenhua snagging Ben in middle of his escape rather silently. It might have appeared almost stern, but Caboose was really just licking his visor again.

Ben's heart skipped a beat as he felt something grab his ankle. He looked back to see the licorice whip that Shenhua had, and he got dragged to the ground with a loud thud. He winced in pain. He then continue laying on the ground, sniffling a bit. Then fueled by pain and fear, a few tears hit the ground.
"L-lemme go! I... I j-just... he's gonna h-hurt her... h-he's gonna hurt her...!" Ben started blubbering, still sniffling loudly. "She's, she's... she's t-trapped in Sil-l-lanea's mind... she's trapped, and there's n-nothing I can... d-do...."

Anders just listened to the noises coming from the walkie-talkie for a moment, a rather inscrutable expression on his face as he looked back at Arcade. "...I'm not sure but...I think I'm a little glad to not be there right now. I feel like that doctor Dave is going to be smashing people over the head any second now."
He looked back down at the walkie, grimacing. "Do you...want to go back there straight away? I understand if you do but honestly, it sounds like a barnyard in there right now. It might be better to steer clear until...cooler heads prevail."

She Actually Means Well (Sorta), Hospital
For a moment, Shenhua was silent, just watching Ben squirm and cry. He was still just a kid, after all, and it was nothing strange to be protective of the ones you loved. Perhaps Roanapur just left her too cynical for this weird place.
"Do you know why I stop you?" It was obvious that she ha no real experience trying to sound reassuring or comforting, it just wasn't her job. Nevertheless, her voice was softer now as she walked over to Ben and sat down on her knees next to him. The grip on the licorice rope was still strong; he was still a kid and kid were prone to doing dumb things. "Because they are there, in Silanea head, and trying to help her, yes?"
"They chose to going there. Eve, and Rex, and others, so they can save her. I don't know much about going to minds, but it must be serious if they are." Shenhua chuckled before reaching over to the kid hero. She hesitated, then put a hand on his shoulder again; this time as a comforting gesture. "If you go there, try saving her, you can doom Silanea. Not what heroes do, yes? Heroes like you save people."
"Don't think Eve would like if you came and messed something up while she in the middle of saving. Might not even mean to, but karma is bitch. So please, for Eve, you stay here. You can do that, yes?" She asked. "...aiya, I not used to comforting people. Is hard."

"This just keeps happening," Arcade said quietly, "yesterday there were two stand-offs at the hospital, and one of them ended with a suicide. What is it about that place that causes everyone to just try and kill each other?" With a sigh he started to head out.
Anders's suggestion made him pause. He looked at the radio, trying to parse his own feelings. By telling Ben what was happening, he made it worse, didn't he? It would probably just make things tougher to solve if he went right back.
He looked back up at Anders and nodded, turning the radio off. "I don't think heading back right now would be the best idea," he said.

"Probably for the best. If we went back I would probably have to throw magic around and freeze a lot of people solid and it would be cold and uncomfortable and wet and well nobody would be having a good time. Also I would be a murderer. That's a thing." Anders finally lifted his staff to put it across his back again, walking along with Arcade as they started out of the library. "Well...maybe we could go find...wait. Go find something to eat was going to be a stupid suggestion, wasn't it, everything seems to be food today. Well. I don't know. You've apparently been here a while. What is there to do when people aren't screaming and kicking each other?"
Delta - Hospital
Stepping towards her, Delta put a polite, but firm, hand on her wrist to try and get her to release her grip.
"Yeah let's... Let's not murder people," Arcade said. The two started wandering into the desert without a destination.
At Anders's question, he hummed thoughtfully. "Well, there's crying," he deadpanned, "but for actual enjoyment... There's the cinema, I suppose. It's... Basically a theater, but instead of actors on stage, the work was done before, and it's being played on a screen..."
He trailed off, not knowing much about movies himself made explaining them difficult. Eventually his expression turned slightly hopeful. "Or... There's a lot of empty cottages we could rest in. You said it yourself, we should take breaks in the desert."

The Riddler decided to take refuge in the library, reasoning that due to Miss Tairee having said that no violence could take place there that it might be a sanctuary for him against the militia. He started booking it there.

Spyro-Hospital
Spyro had never been in a hospital before, so the sight of the lobby and everything was new to him. Seemed liked it was a big medical building, so it was a good thing they were able to save this place from becoming a pile of rubble.
"Name's Delta huh? Cool," Spyro said, nodding his head at the revelation of Delta''s name. He might not be able to understand anything the guy was saying, but hey, he seemed cool enough. Simon and Kamina were pretty cool too, though Spyro wasn't entirely sure what they meant by 'peircing the heavens'. Maybe it was some declaration that nothing could stop them, but whatever the case, Spyro nodded along. "Uh, sure," he responded.
It was then the sound of Ben screaming reached his ears, and he was off with a charge. The sight he encountered was Ben arguing with Shenhua about something-apparently, Eve was entered someone's mind with a group of people to help them. Sounded important.
"Ben, snap out of it, and listen to the Lady, will ya" Spyro said sharply to Ben. "Panicking isn't gonna help anybody right now. Plus, from the sounds of things, Eve entered this Silanea's mind of her own free will with a group to help out. Sounds like she at least knows what she's doing. So relax, okay?" Spyro said, softening up a bit. "Seriously, let's not interrupt fellow heroes at work, alright? Mind work sounds pretty delicate."
THE SLORG!
"Killing spell? The killing curse, you mean?" Thomas wondered, and thought for a bit. "... Thank you. I will have to look into this" the young wizard told Wang with a serious though grateful tone, and gave a short bow before getting back on his broom and taking off into the air.
Meanwhile, Fastanook fidgeted a bit after Orchid's comment. "W-well, I mean, I thought I already did basically, but she's still..." Fastanook trailed off, seeming very uncertain about how to proceed.
"Well what about Veela's feelings, huh? Doesn't she at least have a right to know why you're turning her down? What's with all the skeevy secretness, huh?!" Louie asked, sounding a bit more angry now.
"Her even knowing about the truth could have consequences we can't currently anticipate, boy. This situation is more complicated than a mere unrequited crush" Wells said, his tone stern and disappointed.
"But that's... That's just not fair!" Louie complained, stamping one foot on the ground and clenching his fists.
Veela jumped slightly in startled surprise at the roar from just upstairs, and hesitantly followed the others with her thwack hammer out. The hall was a bit crowded though so she stayed back, waiting with a confused expression since she wasn't really sure what was going on.
From towards the meditation room, there was an annoyed, slightly pained groaning, and Dave slowly stumbled into the hall. "What's with all the loud noise, people? I know the sun's still out, but it's actually quite late by now" Dave said, blinking a bit and looking towards the scene blearily.
"Yes, you can get information here. I can't promise I can answer everything, but there is plenty I can answer. I would suggest you start by reading one of the pamphlets and then if you have any questions after that, feel free to ask" Miss Tairee said in a mostly neutral, slightly friendly tone to Makoto, before looking towards Riddler as he approached and raising an eyebrow slightly.
"Well, like I just told this young lady, I can't promise that I will necessarily answer any question, but you are free to ask" Miss Tairee told Riddler in a more flat neutral tone.

The silence after Sans and Curly's line of questioning was cut off was awkward, especially after the fighting earlier, but it was a little better than the fighting at least. Curly glanced back to see if they'd lost anyone, but couldn't think of anything to say. She couldn't actually remember being in a team besides the slasher day, and all the squad information she had didn't really cover a situation like this.
Fortunately, Tester spoke up "Really? Great! I didn't get to check what the challenge was today... Any chance you can say what the reward was?"

Anders absentmindedly waved his hand, setting up the cooling sensation around them again as they walked. "Crying, eh? Is this place really that awful? Aside from the fighting and such it seems...pretty nice here, actually. Although the food sand is still weird."
He showed some interest in the concept of the cinema, but the mention of empty cottages got his attention, and Anders grinned just slightly.
"Just empty houses standing around, waiting for people to come and...use them? Really, this place is...much nicer than Thedas. ...I think a break in a cottage would be a nice little...retreat."
Shenhua Is Unconvinced, Hospital
"She sure not your girlfriend." Shenhua snickered upon Ben's youthful embarrassed indignation. "Told you already, hero must has patience."
And then he stormed off. Swift like a wind, the assassin put her hand on Ben's shoulder, red-lacquered nails gripping at it and holding him in place. "Patience, young hero." She smiled, but it was a thin mask of a smile. "Or have you no faith in girlfriend and friends to rein Rex in and do the job?"
Then she slipped the walkie-talkie out of the hero's hand. "Gay doctor, please stop telling things. Shame if challenge fails, yes?" She communicated over to the duo at the library.
