Castlevania RP (Sign-Ups)

The year is 1889 and Dracula’s castle, Castlevania, has appeared once more in Transylvania. Once again the Belmont family has been called on to stop him, but this time they have help. As the moon rises over Transylvania, several vampire hunters approach Castlevania, intent on slaying the count once and for all

Hello everyone. I’ve been wanting to GM an RP for a while now and since my D&D post didn’t really take off, in the spirit of Halloween I’m going to run a Castlevania RP. The same rules most people have for their R Ps apply. Listen to the GM, no metagaming, no godmodding, etc. Besides those the one rule I have is try to keep PVP to an absolute minimum. Above all, have fun :). I’m looking forward to this.

• Powers: None, he starts off as an ordinary human with a significant aptitude in combat.

  • Experience - Involvement in many engagements has caused him to develop an instinct in fighting.

  • Avaricious - Loyal only to coin.

• Appearance: A middle-aged man with a seamed face that makes him look a decade older than he really is. In addition he has short brown hair and cavernous black eyes that suggest an inner darkness.

• Personality:
  • Greedy - He always thinks of a way where he'll make a great profit out of it.

  • Persistent - He has spent sleepless nights chasing a target.

  • Pragmatic - Expect him to not waste any time putting a bullet in his enemy's head.

  • Hardened - He has seen the dark side of human nature in war.

  • Disciplined - In spite of being a mercenary, he can be orderly if he wants to.

• Background: Malcolm Kempe is a legendary soldier of fortune that has been involved in countless conflicts throughout the world. At the age of 10, he has allegedly fought on the Confederate side of the American Civil War and has disappeared and re-emerged in different corners of the globe in service to the highest bidder. Gaining a steady reputation as a competent and ruthless mercenary he was desperately sought by every faction of a battle. At times this was troublesome because many had tried to get rid of him afterwards when he had completed his job, but somehow he had always managed to come out whole and crush the traitors in a heartbeat.
  • Despite all these exploits, Malcom was always bested by one of his rivals, Oliver North. Malcolm had tried to beat Oliver in every conceivable manner possible and has failed consistently. As a result, he makes bitter references to that "lucky bastard" that keeps "hogging up all the glory for his own" and that he will someday "get a taste of his own medicine".

  • After assassinating a dissident in Europe, he received orders from his highest paying employer to reach a certain secluded castle in Transylvania where he will do battle with a vampire hunter clan named the Belmonts. He would face hordes of undead monsters in his mission and will be equipped with blessed bullets to destroy them.

  • Malcolm had no idea how to handle this, but he had been paid so he shut up and traveled straight to the castle.

• Name: 'Bran' (His true name is deliberately unknown)

• Age: Unknown, likely several centuries at least

• Alignment: Lawful Neutral

• Species: Cu Sith

• Weapons and Gear:

• Powers: As a Cu Sith or Sidhe, a type of Scottish fey associated with Death, Bran can transform between humanoid and hound forms. The latter of which is about the size of a horse or bull with paws the size of human hands, able to move without sound. This is Bran's true form, or close to it, and is immensely strong - it can let out three yowls that can literally terrify a man to death and injured those not human. As a a member of the fey Bran can slip through the cracks between his realm and that of humans and, when amongst nature, use magic to fulfill deals with mortals.

Strengths:

Weaknesses: Hedonism (particularly alcohol and, for some reason, milk), contractual obligations

Appearance: Humanoid form◊ and As hound◊ The latter is about the size of a bull.

Hmm, two characters?

Well, I may cut it down to one if a lot of people sign up. I had a couple good ideas and couldn't decide which to go with basically.

I was planning to run it with 3-5 players. We already have two definitely playing and one maybe. I'll tell you what, you can run both unless two or three more people sign up.

Cool beans, I'll flesh them out/finish the sheets over the next few days. It'd be sooner but I'm a little busy.
