Garo: Guren No Tsuki

Second Anime season of Garo, the first ep is out for it now.

Definitely a nice introduction, and the heian era of Japan seems like a an interesting change from the European inspired first season.

Semei stands out well. I like the guitar accompaniment and just hearing the Garo growl makes me happy.

Wonder who's the girl in the ED.

So Garm isn't back and that is a new Watchdog? I can't remember if I asked this before but can people come back from being Horrors?

Well it is stated that this season would have a main female protagonist.

They simply cannot be brought back as the horror will consume their soul, and purifying the karma will erradicate the horror and human soul alike.

Yeah, in Honoo no Kokuin, it was made clear that Horrors basically do a Kill and Replace on vulnerable humans.

Was Raikou's deal the Garo armor going berserk?

99.9 seconds is the time limit on Makai armor usage, more than that, and the armor consumes you and goes berserk.

As a general rule for all Makai Knights?

The only times I've seen Horrors that didn't do a full on shift in personality on the victim was Garo seasons 1 and 3 in very special cases. You can make a case for the villain of the most recent season as well.

The material to make the armor is made from a top horror.

@12: Actually, the tokus themselves seem to forget a lot about the 99.9 second rule after the first season. I don't think it's mentioned more than once in Makai Senki, and it definitely did not come up once in either Yamitera or Goldstorm. It came up once in Makai no Hana, and that's when Eyris drained Raiga's armor time to force Soul Loss.

And so Seimei op as fuck.

It's been sad that this has been lackluster.

kinda, too formulaic.

The only thing its had going for it is Seimei so far. Really wouldn't mind her being the main character considering her being able to kill Horrors is a unique trait to her due to how powerful she is.

Also I guess Seimei and Kintoki really are Older Than They Look with this weeks episode. I was wondering why they didn't change from when Raikou was a kid.

It has only occurred to me that yes, that is supposed to be Abe no Seimei, Sakata no Kntoki, and Minamoto no Yorimitsu.

So this is a heian period show about historical people...So this guy is the Hikaru Genji...

Ashiya should have chosen his successor better. As if the second opening didn't already make it clear that the current Douman and the one lord are teaming up. Plus the guy is so goddamn edgy. I even suspect those scars are self-inflicted.

It's more of a mix of historial history with legends. Like the Kaguya episode.

Edit: Heh didn't expect this weeks Horror to be a Depraved Bisexual.
