NSFW/Image Macro: Leave Your Quest Test

Not to sound like a prick or a prude but I have found an issue with the image of this page. There is a clearly exposed breast. Was this the right thing to do?

We tend to give artworks a pass on things like exposed breasts, especially if it's one of the "classics" or the exposure is subtle. In this case, given the stylized nature of the depiction and that it's a Wyeth painting, I don't think there's a NSFW problem.

Now, that said, I don't think it's a very good illustration of the trope, but it's at least at Keep Until Better Image Suggested level.

As Willbyr said, nudity tends to be more acceptable on classical art (such as on Enthralling Siren), and besides, you can't actually see nipples, so I would say Keep Until Better Image Suggested at the very least.

^ I don't think that would make a lot of sense without the context, as it only shows someone being offered two pills. The current clearly shows a hero being tempted away from his quest.

I think it kind of adds to the image. He's rejecting this almost naked woman to do whatever he's going to do, he's determined to finish his mission and no carnal pleasure is going to stop him. So yeah, Keep Until Better Image Suggested for me.

Current is fine as far as NSFW-ness goes. I could probably use it as a screensaver or background at an office and not get in trouble.

TBH, I saw nothing wrong with the image, I just thought it was grey on being NSFW.

I was going to object to it on "does not illustrate" grounds rather than the nudity, but then I saw . The picture would benefit from having a caption explaining this rather than just giving the source.

To be fair, the image used to be slightly more NSFW.

Oh, the nipples were 'shopped out of the current. Ugh...pointless. If we end up keeping the current, I'd swap the unaltered version in.
