Suggestion: Pinocchio Syndrome

Opening suggestion: Robot girl with pinocchio syndrome. If we can get permission from the artist, I think it would make a great illustration, though I'm wondering if mirroring the image left-right would be better.

Why should the image be flipped horizontally?

It's not necessary, but I think it improves the composition because one's eye movement on a trope page goes left to right. First you see the robot, then its desire.

I don't think that's inherently better.

For once I find myself agreeing with Rodney. The desire is more important than who's doing the desiring, so of course it's what you should see first.

Nice pic, and I don't think it needs to be flipped.

We need to ask permission to use it though but if you can get that then its fine.

Flipping an image though is a no no unless the artist specifically approves of it and I wouldn't want to piss em off by asking that.

I suppose the left-right alligment thing is just a personal opinion, but is a pretty good argument against it.

We have enough votes to go with it anyway. The artist's ID is Grus Grus, though I'm not sure how to contact them without signing up. Is anyone a member of that community too, by any chance?

I found the artist's page on Deviant Art and will try to get in touch with him through there.
