Here's a new podcast that's caught my attention. Limetown is a new piece of fiction, presented in the form of a seven-part series for NPR — or "American Public Radio", the Brand X version.

The premise: Ten years ago, the entire population of a small town in Tennessee — built around a neuroscience research facility — simply vanished off the face of the earth. Three hundred twenty-seven men, women, and children were never heard from again. Only one body was ever found, inexplicably charred beyond recognition; he was identified from dental records as the head of research. The remains of Limetown are falling into disrepair, and the disappearances remain unexplained. Now, journalist Lia Haddock — whose uncle remains among the missing — is going back over the case, interviewing surviving family members of the disappeared, and getting as full a story as she can from some of the original investigators of the Limetown incident.

This looks to be some prime creepypasta, and I'm going along for the ride. (They've also captured very well the NPR style of presentation.) There are two episodes currently available, along with a status update from the creators as they work on the additional episodes; you can subscribe to them on Youtube or iTunes, or follow them on Soundcloud.
