That, plus a caption giving some context, works fine for me.
OK, unless people are concerned about shoehorning (I remember that story and I have my doubts that it fits the trope).

In fact, Scrooge was introduced as a villain in his first story. The trope doesn't state that the "villain phase" has to be permanent.

Perhaps the caption should briefly explain that he went good again after that, for those not familiar with that story and more used to Scrooge being mainky good.
