Yea, that's the one.
I mean I can sort of understand the critique of "well yeah there can be POC, if they're the background characters who aren't really all that important. But the main ones, they're White." Heck I had that very same complaint about The Last Airbender film. And the Amazons have often been depicted as being racially diverse, or at least fairly so. So to not do it here would, stick out.
I'm not dissing the film just yet because I don't know enough about it, but I do understand the worry. Past history does play a role in this, and that's only natural.
And as an aside, I like the armor/costumes overall. But the boob armor, is just stupid and unnecessary.
But the only ones we saw are Diana, her mother, and her two aunts.
There are probably important POC characters on Paradise Island but we have only seen 4 characters so far.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureMy mistake. Here's a link to the thing I saw earlier today. Fan edit that I fell for.
Given that we also have to do the WWI stuff, with Steve Trevor and co, and (I'm pretty sure) at least Ares is also involved (you do a Wonder Woman movie set in WWI and NOT use the God of War, I don't think so), and some other stuff that I'm confident will also be in here. I kind of question if any of the Amazons outside of Diana and her immediate family will get that much screentime or development. The runtime (because I doubt that this is over two and a half hours AT MOST) and pacing and split in settings might not allow for it.
Heck we've had TWO Thor movies and neither of them has been able to flesh out the Asgardian cast much outside of Thor, Odin, and to a lesser degree, Frigga. Again, I'm not personally dismissing it right now, but I do get the concern and can see where people are coming from with it.
And as an aside, I like the armor/costumes overall. But the boob armor, is just stupid and unnecessary
Even more than WW's "battle gear" (essentially a blinged out bustier and skirt)?

Ancient Greek men had ceremonial armour with sculpted pecs.
I wonder how powerful they'll make the Amazons in this? Will they all be superhuman like Diana, or just really skilled/fit warriors.
I figure the Amazons are all super human - that follows from the background they gave them, they were created as a guardian force.. but that Diana got the best weapons because she's the one out and about. Lasso of truth, ect.. not actually standard issue.

This is nice and all but what I need is footage.
First real teaser trailer will probably be done in time for SS.
WW has always had tons of potential that scriptwriters haven't really succeeded in tapping into. Hopefully this movie changes that. Do they know who else will be in it? Who are the antagonists? Will Cheetah be a character?
He who has a why to live can bear almost any how -Neitzsche (I know)Who are Wonder Woman's classic/signature enemies anyway?
I always figured it was Circe because of DCUO, but Dr. Sivana, Cheetah, and Giganta also seem like contenders. I can't say I see any of them as Big Bad/A-lister material.
Ares works, but he's getting overused at this point - DCUO, Injustice, DCAU.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).If some schmoe clown can get used too often, why not the great and powerful god of war?
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! They could either do a Rogues' Gallery Transplant or choose Wonder Woman foes that fit more with the early 20th century time period. Like Baroness Von Gunther (a classical Wonder Woman villainess from the Golden Age who eventually does Heel–Face Turn and kinda fell off the radar thanks to the constant reboots putting Wonder Woman after World War II, making Von Gunther to be outdated), Vandal Savage, or even Ras Al'Gul.

Given that it's world war 1 chances of ares being involved aren't bad.
Yeah, Are feel great for a villian, Vandal is already use by legend of tomorrow, but a grim take could be great since I feel that vandal is to goofy
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Vandal Savage might be an interesting enemy to Wonder Woman. Immortal vs. Immortal. Legends of Tomorrow reimagined him as an Egyptian priest, it wouldn't be too big of a stretch to include him in Greek Mythology.
But direct rogues for Wonder Woman: Cheetah, Giganta and various characters in the Greek Pantheon like Ares, Hades and (for a time) Heracles.
Oh my bad I didn't notice the date. I just assumed from Geth Knight's post that this must have been it. I'm not really seeing any teasers on YT besides this one.
