Movies and Riffing/MSTing

So, this is a thread for talking about movies you may have riffed/done a MST 3 K-style commentary on.

More specifically:

• What are your favourite movies to riff on?
• What movies would you recommend people to riff on? Regardless of being So Bad, It's Good or So Bad Its Horrible. Or even actual good.
• What's your predominant style/form/attitude of riffing? Large Ham, deadpan snark, meta, casual mix...
• What were your best and worst riffing experiences, regardless of the quality of the movie?
• What are your favourite movies that the MST 3 K guys have riffed on?
• And other stuff related to the subject.

I'm quite fond of Pod People. Their voice for Trumpy as well as when Trumpy "does stupid things" makes me laugh my ass off.

Also really liked that weird Mexican Santa Claus movie with the demons. That ones a classic.

At one of my theaters near by their doing live showings of rifftrax and in December they're showing the Santa and Ice Cream bunny rifftrax. I'm hoping to go see that one.

Van Hellsing is a joy to riff on, with enough action breaks to not feel like you're entirely talking over the silly dialogue, and enough laughable stuff (story, accents, acting) to always give you something to mock.

Sharknado. Me and brothers rift on that movie and did the voices for the Sharks. In short we made them out as friendly, innocent characters caught up in the storm by accident and are forced to fend off against psychopathic humans who have an irrationality violent hatred for sharks.

We have yet to see the sequel, but given how it turned out something tells me the next time we rift it it will be the Tucker and Dale vs Evil of rifftrax.

Also Jurassic World . . . yeah, inside the theater. Admit it people, you too will go see that movie just to MST the shit out of it. The fact they actually went through with the Dino theme park is enough idiocy to justify making fun of it out loud.

I remember me and my dad halfway through ASM 1 in the theater started to riff on the film cause we were just having such a bad time watching it. Our riffing got more laughs from me than Spiderman's quips

That's a good technique. I should try that out with some horror movies sometime.
