Lost in Adaptation

New video, where Dom talks about Artemis Fowl having just read the book in preparation for the upcoming film "adaptation".

I remember my younger brother telling me about the books roughly a decade or so back and from what I remember him saying, the trailer doesn't match up very well.

Buuut I never read them myself so I don't care that much about the changes and probably won't even see the movie anyway.

I feel like it's been "upcoming" for a while now.

I swear I remember it being sold as an Agust 2019 release and then it went to March? Or am I mistaken? And then Covid happened...

I think Artemis being pushed to Disney+ while other films like Mulan were pushed back is... telling.

Okay, I did as Dom said and watched the trailer after listening to him describe the book.

A couple days ago Dom posted a new episode looking at Pride and Prejudice and it's 1995 mini-series adaptation:

How many chapters does it even have? As of this writing he'll have to do 16...

Does it matter, not like people should stop donating coz the book is out of chapters.

According to him on his discord, 7K covers the entire book.

What's "The Mister"? I've never heard of it.

El James' newest (ish) book. Otherwise unrelated to fifty shades.

Entire book is funded now, so any donations are for charity at this point.

Is The Mister also a BDSM romance novel?

AFAIK no, it's got no porn in it.

It's also written AS a novel, so I expect it to be more boring than bad like 50 Shades was. It wasn't a serialized fanfic that was updated weekly by someone compulsively driven to write to maintain her online presence. It's less likely to have repetitions like 50 shades does, or chapters that go nowhere in excruciating details.

"Quarantined with the 10-Inch Soldier" makes me think that he's not 10 inches tall.

Yeah, that's obviously the size of his military knife.

The Mister is officially under-way.

Apparently he's having technical problems at the moment.

IT's been delayed to next week so he can figure out his sound problem.

Right. He just found an excuse to delay his torment.
