Vault Hunter Team Two-Killy Krooza Too

Three of the Vault Hunters peaked their heads around the opening to look in. Luckily for them, Krieg was busy recovering from the beating he had taken from the nob and shrinking back down to normal size and did not charge the Orks at once. Axton quickly took some video of the various tanks and walkers, and then silently motioned to the two next to him. As one, they started attempting to sneak away from the room as quickly as they could, and would attempt to begin returning to the portal if they were not spotted.

"Yeah, I could try hers..." Kyoko flipped her phone up again and dialed Mami's number, putting it up to her ear to listen in. After too long, though, "...she ain't picking up. Oi, Mami, call me back - the idiot might be in trouble." Kyoko left her message at that, frowning as she changed her phone to SMS mode. "Gonna leave her a text too."

That question was punctuated with the sight of Ramlethal rising up off of the ground, as if lifted by some invisible force.

"Yes."

She already began floating her way over the balcony, Sin making way for her. As she hovered in front of the balcony, over a sheer drop, and her clothes billowing slightly in the wind, she turned back to the rest.

"I recommend Madoka stays somewhere safe, or accompanies either one of you."

Dracula & Death, The Main Hall, Castlevania

After Trevor watched Dante and Hei leave, he reluctantly left back for the long journey to Santa Destroy. This would take him a while if he had to do it on foot.

As he went further into the Underground Caverns, Hei eventually found himself entering into the Main Hallway once he climbed up a set of platforms at a dead end. Apparently these caverns connected to the Main Hall. Once he had gotten into the Main Hall, he would see Dracula and Death discussing something. Death looked rather weak.

"You going to be okay, Death?" Dracula asked, concern in his actual voice for the Grim Reaper.

"Yes, Master... It is just... I am not used to being able to be killed or die," Death said, expressing his dislike of the current situation. "Yes, the Vampire Killer can drive me away, but only that, it cannot normally kill me nor could conventional, even advanced weapons... I do not like what the Cure has done here."

"I know..." Dracula tried to comfort his dear friend. "I just got a message from him that Edge and SONG HQ are gone and replaced with Cairo... That's the capital of the Mamluk Sultanate back home..."

It was then that Dracula noticed Hei. Dracula crossed his arms and made a sound of annoyance.

"Death, go and check if we have more issues than vampire hunters and rival demons," Dracula ordered Death. "Oh, and check to see if Lisa is still in the Common Room... I didn't want to risk her getting hurt when Belmont was coming here."

Death flew off, and Dracula glared at Hei for a bit, holding back anger and rage.

"Walk with me..." Dracula signaled to Hei and begun walking, slightly frustrated. "I've got some papers from Santa Destroy in my throne room to look over."

As they walked, Hei would notice that all of the various monsters and undead were leaving Dracula and Hei alone. They all knew when Dracula was in a bad mood and knew to try to make themselves scarce. Dracula then asked Hei as they walked, "What are your demands?"

"You want to be alone?" Lady said, a bit of shock in her voice. "You just told me there is a shapeshifting demon on the loose who was going after you specifically, and you expect me to let you run around alone after that? Why, so it can pick you off at its leisure? I just spent all morning locked in that closet, worried sick about what that thing was doing to you and the others. I'm not about to let you go run off and get yourself killed after that!"

Kyoko stopped in surprise for a moment, not expecting Ramlethal to actually answer that. "Well, guess that works."

"Um...should I go with one of you?" Madoka asked.

"Uh, think you should stay here, Maddy," Kyoko answered. "I get the feeling we're gonna be running a lot, and if Mami-san or Akemi come back and find the place empty they'll get worried. Especially the latter."

Hell’s Gate Tokyo Huangmobile

“That’s just the job.” Shizuo said with a shrug. “You move mountains, or you don’t get paid.” He scanned his eyes over the animals. “It keeps the lights on, if you have to worry about that kind of thing.” He said, with what might have been a trace of envy. He fished out a cigarette and stuck it into his mouth, but declined to light it in the cramped space.

“Plus, there’s one heck of a finder’s fee.” Tom said, giving Mao’s ear a parting rub before patting Yin on the shoulder. “That said, this really isn’t a business for nice young girls to get into. With a talent like yours, I’m sure you’d do a lot better for yourself as a fortune teller, or maybe a detective.”

“Yeah, no doubt.” Shizuo ran his eyes over the cabin again as a discrepancy began to take shape in his head. The monkeys, the psychic, the penguins. Huang in the front seat. Someone was missing. “Where’s your partner?” Shizuo asked, directing his question over to Huang. His eyes scanned the occupants of the space, drifting right over Mao to land on Arctikyudo in the back. He arched an eyebrow, letting the unsaid question hang in the air as he considered how to apologize for the other night.

Castlevania - Witches' Coven - Gertrud and Erica

An incursion? Of course, being a centrally located territory like this meant they had to deal with all manner of visitors.

"Thank you, Head Witch, that would be greatly appreciated," Gertrud said with a smile.

"Then, I am afraid we must return. But it was good to meet you, to meet fellow Witches in this strange patchwork-world. If things calm down a little, I hope we can meet again for a longer conversation on more pleasant topics."

"Yeah," Erica chimed in. "Come over for tea some time!"

Underground Castle

A quick check would reveal that the elevator did, in fact, work. It was a straight shoot up to the next floor, which seemed pretty much the same, except with the layout reversed. In one direction, a walkway passed by a view of the city, before making a sharp turn between the rows of towers. In the other direction, tucked just around the corner, was another elevator.

As for those Delta Squad members heading down the lengthier walkway below, they eventually entered a dimly lit corridor that twisted and circled about. At the end of it was a short flight of stairs going up. At the top, they found themselves in a quaint little household. Sure, the dominant colour seemed to be light shades of grey, but there was a little bookshelf by the stairs, a pull-string lamp on the wall, and a golden flower in a vase over on the other side of the room. The front door was straight ahead. There was a room off to the right, and a corridor with three doors over to the left.

Surface Border

Those who would enter the borders of 'the Underground' from above would probably see little in the way of civilisation. The sole landmark was the great green slopes of Mount Ebott looming high above, and the rest was simply forest. However, there was more to the mountain that met the eye. For instance, if one were to approach from the east, and ascend the mountain a certain distance, they would eventually find the maw of a cave amidst the trees.

"...guess if it'll get us to them faster." Kyoko relented and took Ramlethal's outstretched hand with her right, keeping a firm grip on the ring on her left middle finger.

Once Ramlethal got airborne, theoretically a building looking damaged would be a logical place to investigate, but the city's damage from the "storm" had been so widespread one wonders, without some other indication, whether this would be a needle-in-a-haystack situation.

The Underground, Fixer-ANOTHER elevator?

Fixer entered the elevator, and then exited it as it arrived on it's destination, as he exited, he looked around noticing the row of towers and a corridor and decided to communicate with the rest of his squad by Comlink.

"38, do you copy?"

"I copy, 40. Does the elevator work?"

"Affirmative, 38. it seems to lead to a walkway near a pair of towers, along with a corridor near my position. I'm not sure of your position right now, but it might be best for me to check my position by myself, I'll stay in touch and tell you of my current location."

"Acknowledged, Fixer. Be careful."

Fixer then made his way to the corridor, noticing another elevator near.

"Do these monsters really need so many elevators?" He wondered to himself, before checking if the elevator worked, if it did, he would enter the elevator and go wherever it leaded.

The Underground-Boss,Sev and Scorch:A grey matter

"Well, whoever made this house didn't had much creativity, or grey was their favorite color. Excluding the flowers, I think even Kamino has more color than this place."

"Or maybe grey is the only paint color they had.."

Scorch and Sev joked a bit upon seeing the house and the 3 squad members made their way up from the stairs, as Boss glanced around at the ways this house they were in leaded.

"Scorch, search the room in the right, Sev, check the corridors in the left. I'll see what's going on in the front door. Keep your weapons ready in case."

"On it, Boss."

"Checking the rooms, Boss."

As Boss made his way to the front door in the house, the three clones also unholstered their DC-17M blaster rifles.

Scorch walked to the room in the right, while Sev made his way to the corridor in the left, and decided to open the third door.

"Yeah, that about sums it up," Akihiko confirmed, lips turning upward a little for once, "You must be good at detective work, Chief. It's not like we weren't coordinated before she came along, but we were also a lot smaller back then. And I agree that she's kind of overplaying the positive energy right now, but she really is like that pretty much all the time... maybe too much of the time." His face darkened once more, although the only difference between his 'worried' face and his 'angry' face was a less furrowed brow.

Unaware she was being discussed some yards away, Minako bit her lip at Lisa's tirade and wondered if she'd seriously messed up. Having their neutrality questioned at this early stage could really muddy things up down the line. It wasn't like she'd given out anything more than basic information or things that everybody already knew, though, and Dracula being a vampire was just common sense... or didn't his wife know that? Suddenly, it occurred to the brunette that she might not. After all, to be the wife of Dracula - if he corresponded at all to the timeline of the historical figure - meant that she had probably lived and died before he became part of the world's collective mythology. Before getting around to clearing that up, however...

"Pssst, Amber!" she interjected in a quick, facetiously loud whisper, "Just FYI, you can keep wishes for later - like if you're not sure what to use it for, or if you wanna wish someplace with fewer ears."

Having imparted that nugget of advice and started to pay back the blonde for her great help back when SEES had first arrived, The Fool stepped over to stand in front of Lisa. "Deepest apologies if I've caused you any difficulties, Madam," she intoned with a bow, "Please rest assured, however, that SEES truly is a neutral organization and that I neither have nor will share any information that is not already public knowledge without full permission.

"More to the point, I am not sure if you are already aware, but your husband's vampirism and association with the night have reached the status of legend throughout the entire world in any Earth that hails from the centuries after his rise. Mr. Brando could easily have asked anyone off of the street, even an illiterate vagabond, about him and they would be able to say that the words 'Dracula' and 'Vampire' are practically synonyms. I was merely trying to impress upon him that he would be dealing with the Count Dracula, so that he would avoid offending by asking whether the Count was a mere pretender, for example. I hoped that would allow their inevitable talks to proceed smoo-"

"Oh, he's your brother! Weeeeell, isn't that just great?!" Junpei, who had been discreetly shuffling over to get a closer look at Dante, as he'd also noticed the similarities between the pair of half-devils, broke his silence and began glaring daggers at the red-coated man.

Startled, Minako twisted around to look at him. "Uh... Junpei-kun-" she attempted, trying to avoid derailment of efforts against the unnamed shape-shifting thing. She'd immediately realized how terrible in every way the creature the Demon Hunter had described would be for everything she was working towards, and had been intending to talk with him about it soon after finishing with Lisa.

Unfortunately for her efforts, Junpei wasn't in a listening mood.

"Oh, sure, sure! Let's all go kill some demon we only have your word even exists instead of stopping your brother from slaughtering dozens of people for no reason-"

"Hey, Junpei-kun, that's enough!"

"You're totally not gonna turn on us and start screaming about 'the true power of a Son of Sparta' or anything!"

"Junpei!"

"What?!" he bit back, whirling on her furiously... and immediately regretting it. The Wildcard's expression was fixed in her typical smile, but the look in her eyes was anything but. Akihiko, hanging back near Misaki, silently congratulated himself on staying out of the whole thing.

"I was just saying 'that's enough', is all!" she repeated, voice chipper as always.

"Oh... sorry." Her fellow second-year fiddled nervously with his hat. "But he-"

"Hey, Junpei-kun, which do you think is more dangerous?" she interrupted, folding her arms, "Blue Coat Guy, or a malicious shapeshifter that can perfectly impersonate anyone you know at any time and can take on not only Red Coat Guy, who is probably just as strong as Blue Coat, but also everyone else who was with him at the time?"

"...The second one," the hatted teen admitted begrudgingly.

"Good! I agree! So then..." she continued, walking over to 'Red Coat Guy' and giving him a nod, "I can't exactly break off from what I've been doing to go hunting with you, but this thing is obviously going to be a potentially huge problem for everybody, so gimme all the details and I'll do my best to make sure everybody's forewarned about it. What can it do? Why could it copy your friend's attitude so well? How durable is it? How did it fight? Did it say anything about itself? Do you have any leads on where it is yet?"

She thanked Minako for her advice. "Thanks, but I've got an idea of what I want. Just as long as I know everyone's situation. Besides,"

She turned to look at the Section Chief and smiled, then turned to the Specter and grinned.

"There are benefits to having the right audience."

Misaki was growing more and more uncomfortable with this Amber girl. The chances she was UB-001 were only growing.

The Section Chief continued to murmur to Akihiko. "Do you know that girl? She's not from my world, is she?"

Hei walked by the Count's side, though he kept the presence of all the enemies in mind.

"You shouldn't object too much." he prefaced. "At first it was to turn your attention on destroying Outworld, though now it looks like we've got another problem.

"That thing can do more than just change its shape, and it won't go down easily. I filled it with enough volts to kill ten elephants and it didn't flinch. Even stabbing it through the heart didn't stop it. After it vanished we decided that our little band of hunters isn't going to be enough to stop it: we need outside help. Vergil stared at the devil girl for a moment in silence, then spoke, his swords still hovering next to his head. "Is this the beginning of some form of proposed deal from you, girl? If so, then go on, but know I do not like my time wasted, so this had best be good."

Dante-Common Room

"Oh joy, someone else who wants a favor. Same thing I told the blonde guy, need to know what you're gonna want before I say yes. Got standards and all, you know?"

Then he turned to Junpei. "I see my brother's made a poor first impression on you. For that, I'll apologize for him, since I know he ain't ever gonna do it. Let me assure you that I'm nothing like him, you don't gotta worry about me." Then he turned to Minako and her barrage of questions. "Wow, ok, sure, sure, glad to see someone's asking questions, but slow down there a little, cut back on the coffee there! Ok, so, like I said it can shapeshift, and looks like it can also copy the abilities of the people it shifts into, given it replicated Lady's style of gunplay. Not sure if it can copy more supernatural powers, it seemed to stick with it's own during the fight. I can tell you it has super strength and some kind of magic. Only thing magic wise I saw was when it stuck out its hand, yelled "Garudyne!" and then sent me flying into the water with a massive gust of wind. Might have more, not sure.

"For durability, the thing's damn tough. He took massive amounts of lightning without even flinching, got stabbed through the heart, and I took a good bit of its arm off with my blade. Didn't seem to slow him down much, if at all. It diden't say too much about itself, but it sure as hell had a lot to say about us. Somehow this thing knew everything about us, and it's not because it had been hanging around us all day, this thing knew personal secrets, how things worked in our homeworlds, that kinda thing. Tried to get into our heads, all sorts of talk about how we were fighting a pointless fight, we'd fall into despair, that sort of generic villain talk. And lastly, no idea where it is right this second. It left after a while, saying it had places to be or something."

"Oh, by the way, didn't catch your name there. I assume you're one of the newer people around here?"

Lisa, Common Room

When Minako apologized and explained the situation, Lisa looked rather surprised at what she had said. Her husband was well-known as a vampire on multiple worlds. That was a surprise to her as when she had last been with him, he was reclusive about his vampiric heritage. It was a strange situation to have her husband be well known as a vampire to people other than herself. After Minako spoke to her associates and Dante, Lisa poked Minako's shoulder.

"I am sorry for the way I acted," Lisa apologized to the SEES Leader, bowing to her. "I did not know that my husband's vampirism had become common knowledge even to other worlds."

"Also, your strange food was delightful," Lisa complimented the SEES Leader, smiling at the young girl.

Dracula, Walking With Hei, Castlevania

"The demon wanted me dead... Of course, I would want to kill it for that," Dracula told Hei in kind. "That being said, there are a few things I need from you... First, I request free movement without hassle for Death, Lisa, Carmilla and myself within chunks that also agree to search for this demon."

"Death is the only being so far who can actually see the demon for what he actually is," Dracula noted to Hei. "I will need his help and free movement is non-negotiable if you want us to search for the demon."

"Second, I need someone who might be able to help Death return to full fighting strength," Dracula explained to Hei. "He is not used to being disconnected from his full power and took massive damage from the Fake Lady's advanced weaponry, so unless there is a quicker way, he will need time to recover his strength."

"Getting someone to help Death recover is not required, but it would make the job of locating the demon go faster," Dracula acknowledged to Hei. "The plan I have is that once your... group of fighters are assembled and Death has recovered, Death would scour each chunk until he finds the demon and then inform of the other fighters of its location."

"There are a couple of issues, I do see, though," Dracula admitted to Hei. "This is no ordinary demon we are dealing with if it stalemated both Dante and Belmont, and the demon may try to avoid or replace Death to keep from being discovered."

"It may be a difficult battle, even with all the fighters assembled," Dracula concluded to the Contractor. "I believe these to be reasonable conditions for my help against the demon."

The rest of the witches waved the Strike Witches off as well as Salom continued to talk, "Just fly above the trees and you should be fine!"

Sypha, Santa Destroy Hotel

"I do not think you understand," Sypha tried to explain to Lady. "He knew things about all of us without being told!"

"He said your father strove to bring an end to the age of humanity to usher in the age of demons, with himself on the throne," Sypha stated to Lady. "Was the demon telling the truth or lying?"

"That is something that I am positive only you and possibly Dante would know," Sypha sighed to Lady. "I listened to him because I thought he was you... He said my soul was filled with darkness... Maybe I'm no better than the witches that have been fooled into working for Dracula."

"If he knows everything about us and can hide as any one of us, how can I trust anyone?!" Sypha gave her reasoning. "If I am alone, he'd have to fight me... but then, it seems like you yourself failed at that."

"How do we fight a demon like that?" Sypha asked Lady sincerely.

Lady-Santa Destroy Resort

Lady got up out of her chair and walked a bit away, pulling out her gun and disassembling it to distract herself while she talked. "It's true, yes. My father tried to do just that. I watched that bastard kill my mother for the sake of some demonic ritual, and there was nothing I could do about it. That's what made me become a demon hunter. And eventually I killed him. But even then, I didn't do it alone. Like you want to do now, I had isolated myself, worked alone and pushed away anyone else. But I know for a fact that I would be dead now if I hadn't accepted Dante's help all those years ago. And this thing is far more powerful then my father ever was. That's why I'm not going to let you repeat my mistakes."

"You're worried about what this demon said? You're worried that you're going down the wrong path, and you're turning into the thing you hate most? I say that it's not too late for you to change. Don't you see, this is what the demon wants. He wants you doubting yourself, questioning your actions. He was probably counting on you pushing everyone else away. Whatever it is he is planning, he doesn't want you able to stop him. And if you're alone, you won't, no matter how hard you try."

"I'm not going to lie, this is not going to be an easy fight. People are probably going to suffer, we will have to overcome whatever this thing has up its sleeve. But you and I both know nether of us can stand by and let him have his way with the people of this world. We know we can't take him on alone, we already tried that. I know it's going to be hard for you. I was in the same position as you were, unable to trust anyone but myself. But like it or not, we are going to have to trust in other people and let them help us track this thing down and kill it. We know its tricks, we can figure out a way to identify it. That's the only way we're going to have any chance at wining this fight."

Hell’s Gate Tokyo Huangmobile

Movement between the two men would stop as Mao was subjected to a long moment of silent shocked staring, punctuated by Shizuo’s cigarette plinking into Yin’s bucket as Tom turned over his petting hand with wide eyes. “Urban Loan Agency.” They corrected Candy in shell-shocked unison.

The men exchanged a glance that unanimously decided there was nothing more they wanted to say on either subject, and by means of an awkward smile and a petulant frown they let the conversation die while settling in for the ride.

Iacon: Metroplex Council Chambers

"The destruction of sites of value to your people will be of last resort," said Ultra Magnus. "Though I fear we may all eventually be forced to compromise our heritage if we are to survive against this Cure and his machinations."

The Council then began the business of discussing how to establish the farm.

"Logistically, we would need to establish a localised space-bridge," said Alpha-Trion. "We can't risk regular convoys of energon crystals back to Cybertron - they would be tempting targets for all to strike."

"Establishing a space bridge would drastically escalate the scale of this project," warned Perceptor. " Particularly should this Hell's Gate area hold hazards yet unknown to Autobot-kind."

"There's only one bot for the job - Erector," continued Alpha Trion. "Not only is he an Elite Guard member, his structural erections are always of stellar quality - rock-solid and long-lasting, just as they should be."

Ultra Magnus returned his gaze to April. "Are there any hazards in Hell's Gate that we must be made aware of?"

Iacon Marketplace

"Neat!" said Glyph, her enthusiasm still glowing and showing no sign of slowing. "It's just around the block, not far from here at all. Let's go and save your friends!"

She gestured across the street, grinning as she made a quick jay-walk, much to the displeasure of the Autobot motorists. Tap-Out sighed at her brazen disrespect for the pedestrian crossing just a little ways down the street.

"Sorry about her. She can be a little... uh... odd. She'd forget her head if I didn't tighten the neck clamps every morning."

Tap-Out made an effort to wait for his chance to cross the road during a break in traffic at the pedestrian crossing, once the flashing blue robot-shaped light indicated it was safe to walk. Interestingly, the sign also had indications for when walking would be too slow to cross safely, and thus necessitating a quick change to vehicle mode to dart across.

What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?
