Bond - Why So Serious?, Death Star ISB Office

Bond chuckled at Lady's response.

"Yes, I do have a room back in the Common Room. But it's an office building. Best they can offer is cots. Honestly, even if the Cure had brought my apartment I'd still search for a hotel."

He smiled cheekily at both Misaki and Mystique, who hadn't taken his question well either.

"And I'm asking now because from what I remember, the next room should be the Death Star's laser controls, and their last chance to stop us. It would be quite unfortunate if somebody with a good recommendation died in the next confrontation. I'd hardly forgive myself."

"But, to be serious, I was simply breaking the tension. It's helped me over the years. Keeps nerves down."

He shot a glance at Rogue and Nightcrawler (and an eyebrow at Sayaka and Kyuubey's entrance. Final Reinforcements, he guessed.), and smiled.

"Though, it's been years since I've been to a Ritz. I'll have to look into that."

Jaune - Hey Meanken, you want him to use a gun?; Death Star Throne Room

Jaune grinned to himself. He'd successfully snuck around an opponent!

Probably helped that everyone was attacking Vader, and thus distracting him. Teamwork for the win!

Now, what Jaune was originally going to do was hit Vader with his sword, but that was the plan before Vader was sent to his knees. Sent to his knees by, as far as Jaune could see, a bolt of lightning. He couldn't see the deflection, nor Batman's attack on the life-support unit.

If there was one thing Jaune was good at in combat, it was reading the situation.

He grabbed the ARC Caster that was still hanging around his neck with his free hand (the shield being attached to his forearm) and raised it. Now, most people would struggle with holding a rifle one-handed, but Jaune's aura enhanced his strength. He wasn't most people.

And so, from behind, Jaune took a few steps forward, trying to get close enough that the massive spread of the weapon would only be absorbed by Vader's frame, before pulling the trigger on the ARC Caster.

He didn't know if it was a semi-automatic or an automatic, so he'd try pulling the trigger several times, just in case.
Fire, Shadow, Flower and Power - Going Home, Genosha Palace Medical Wing

"We should probably head back, actually."

"Yeah. Wouldn't want to miss Big'n'Ugly handing out the wishes, right?"

"Nora?"

Nora turned her head away from the hug Maki was currently giving her, before leaning in and hugging him a little tighter.

"It's fine, Maki. All you've said are words, and you can make up for words pretty easy. You just gotta say sorry, and try not usng those sort of words again."

She pulled away, and looked him in the eye.

"But I gotta go now. We have friends still fighting in other places, and now the fighting here's done, we should go help them. But I'll see you tomorrow, okay? After all, we're coming to the wedding."

She stood up, and followed her friends towards the door, but stopped and turned around to Maki once more.

"You'd look really cute in a little tuxedo, with a little bow tie, and- OH! A top hat!"

"Nora."

"Coming, Ren!"

Everyone that isn't Koishi and Rin, Common Room
"...DaNasty?" Of all the things to give Satori pause, this was probably the most important one. Probably. This was mighty disrespectful of course, even if she was talking to some kind of dumb pirate, so she quickly bowed to him. "Forgive me, that's hardly a common name where I co-"

"Why don't you ask her, Yuugi's right over there!"

There were a few voices that Satori didn't want to hear just yet, and Utsuho's was one of them. As she pointed her rod-bound arm in the direction of the Oni, she wondered why the Asshole Demon at the far edge of the room was also considerably bigger than everyone else, but that's not important.

Satori gave her the same smoldering stare that she gave her cat, and said "Utsuho, would you like to explain yourself?"

"Oh, how are you doing, Satori?" Utsuho waved at her, entirely unfazed by her gaze. "This Trish lady visited the Capital and eventually she asked to come and see Yuugi. But yeah," she continued to explain to Trish, "The big blonde one. She's great at parties."

Yuugi was already confused on how Utsuho had gotten back here so quickly, and she expressed this with a simple statement: "Who wants to see me?"

She bent down to Asriel and said "I'll be right back. I don't think this'll take long, any way it goes." So, she left the kid behind to step on over to the assembled group. "Utsuho, would you introduce me to her?"

"This is Trish, she runs a business called Devil May Cry, and she apparently wants to talk to you about raiding humans," Okuu so eloquently put. Yuugi crossed her arms as she stared down at the woman, and said " Oh, really? Well, let's hear it, then."

Sypha, Emperor's Throne Room

"Holy Lightning!" Sypha yelled out, attempting to fire more lightning at Vader. Sypha really hated using the same attack over and over again, but Sypha determined that she could only use Holy Lightning on Vader safely. There was too much risk killing her comrades with Holy Flames and Vader's telekinesis would likely make Blue Splash just as fatal. At least with Holy Lightning, he had to defend against it rather than fling it back at them.

Ikebukuro Russia Sushi

On catching Huang's eye, Tom would smirk knowingly, before packing up his napkin like a snowball. "That's something, huh?" He would say, before playfully tossing the offending paper at the operative's head.

Whether or not the throw was successful, he would turn back to July, tracing the lettering atop the book with his index finger. "I know what you mean." Tom said. "Some really smart guys try their best to be cynical, because they know it makes the most sense." Tom smiled, before snatching up his earlier cup of sake against his better judgement. "But, if people worked on sense alone, then I would be out of a job, wouldn't I?" Tom tinked his drink against July's, then paused. "To the disease." He said finally, before draining the dish in one sip.

Meanwhile, were Huang to open up the lobbed napkin, he would find five words assembled in hastily-scrawled shorthand: Can you hotwire a car?

Genosha Palace Staircase

Shizuo stared after Wei with open dislike, running over all of the Q words he knew in search of a decent insult. Bad enough getting recognized on every street corner in Ike, now these punks are looking at me through walls? You'd think Yin would have better sense than—

Shizuo's thoughts stopped with a halting screech, and he whipped around to stare at the spot Wei had specified seconds ago.

One protracted rrrrrrip later, and Wei would find a tap on his shoulder. "You've been out all day, right?" Shizuo would say, before slinging the offending piece of carpet over one shoulder. "If you've been hanging out with Yin, or any other psychics," He held up his phone, "I need a prediction."

The Offices of Izaya Orihara—Main Office

Izaya arched an eyebrow as he drew the phone away from his ear, then spun it end over end before sliding it into his pocket like a Texas quickdraw. I suppose that's the best assurance I'm going to get, he mused as he picked up his landline, staring up at the Death Star one more time.

One way, or another...

"Hello, yes, apologies. Overbooked my calendar, I'm sure you can sympathize." He wound the landline cord around his finger, staring at the board across the room. "I'll give you an account to transfer the funds to and then, well. You might want to get something to write this down..."

Common Room

The Cure's explanation did little to quell the questions inside Wrath's head. No man engages in a battle of such scale without some kind of endgame in mind, and any statements to the contrary are simply part of the game itself. Many theories floated around in his mind. Having worked for someone who meticulously hid grand actions inside smaller conflicts, ideas such as 'syphoning power' or 'sacrifice' floated up to the surface.

Whatever the endgame, the Cure was far from reaching it. Or at least, that's what he hoped.

"An alliance seems like the clearest path forward." He said. However, I cannot reveal who we really are, lest we attract some unwanted attention... but by keeping our powers a secret, we lessen our worth. "I will not bother you any further. Thank you again." With another bow, Wrath returned to the Battleworld hologram.

Wrath felt like a child reading a book he could not understand. What did all these names mean? Of course, the obvious path was to send each homunculus to a different chunk, try and find out who would be the easiest to manipulate. But that would waste a lot of time, and time was clearly a precious commodity. And during all of this, he couldn't help but notice, on the corner of his eye, a blonde girl looking sharing her attention between him and her drawing pad. Not wanting to break character, Wrath couldn't help but smile and give her a little wave. A welcome distraction from the worries troubling his mind.

Death Star

The Asura's pink eyes seemed to stare straight through the guard, as if her gaze never left her intended target that laid beyond him. They were the eyes of a killer, both cold and burning in its depths. Though in truth her stoic eyes watching, taking in the minute details and timing of her opponent's movements. The spinning defense had a flaw. It placed his hands front and center, with his fingers warped around the pike. The four side beam katanas all twitched, making feints to make sure the man kept his guard up. The fifth blade above her head remained perfectly still save only the slightest of adjustments.

With a sudden precise jolt, the fifth blade would dart out with the grace of a scorpion's strike and seek to sever the man's digits. The four other blades crossed like scissors and followed suit by striking forward, seeking to catch both ends of the pike in between the blades, trapping the man's weapon in a horizontal position. Despite whether the attack on the man's fingers was successful, should the four other blades be able to lock the Royal Guard's weapon movement, The fifth blade above her head would quickly follow up with an attempt at the man's neck.

Henry's Cross Saber meanwhile clashed against the Royal Guard's lance as he came down. The weapon's locked, putting strength to strength. He didn't come all this way just to mess with the 2nd rate help. Henry figured he would show the more practical aspects of the cross bladed hilt. Positioning himself to put the Guard's back to the pit, he then thrust so the Guard would find his lance caught where the hilt blade met the main blade. With a twist of the wrist, the guard would find another of the hilt blades close around the other side of his weapon while at the same time freeing up Henry's main blade. The attack would end with a slash, sliding down the length of the man's pike with his blade proper while the hilt blades provided defense against a counter attack.

Via Tarkin

Well, this was quite the group that she had caught up to. For a moment Sayaka had been caught off-guard by how many not-quite-human characters there were heading her way, though their various guises of greetings at reinforcements (fully welcome or not quite so). Lady’s and Trevor’s expressions of disapproval triggered immediate indignation: “Hey, don’t knock on what a Magical Girl can do until you’ve seen me in action! We get these guys before time runs out, we can save everyone’s lives.” It took Sayaka a moment to calm down from her agitation - Toad’s verbal approval of reinforcements served to take some of her edge off against her prospective allies. “Right? The more people fighting the more likely we can get this done.”

Elphelt’s formal-under-normal-circumstances introduction helped ease her into a more easier-going mood by giving her a chance to introduce herself: “Sayaka Miki, nice to meet you.” Her expression was one where she’d offer a handshake to Elphelt if this hadn’t been a bad time for formal introductions. Noticing that several people in the group were staring down at her feet, Sayaka followed their line of sight to the small white bunny-cat thing that had followed her through the portal. “Oh, uh, this is Kyubey. I guess you could say he’s pretty much my guide.”

Kyubey moved about a foot to his right to come into full view unhindered by Sayaka’s feet. <It’s nice to meet you all as well.> Lady and Sayaka were probably the only ones who would have had previous experience with what seemed like a slightly-echoed disembodied voice in their heads. <As Sayaka Miki said, my name is Kyubey. I am here so that I can provide guidance for Magical Girls in performing the duties they take on.> He turned his up towards Sayaka. <We should get moving, as there isn’t much time left.>

“Yeah, you’re right - we should go.” Sayaka turned towards the direction the group had been coming from and was about to take a step when she realized that, as eager as she was to jump in and help save the day, she had only the faintest idea of what exactly she needed to do to actually save day. Sayaka would instead let the leaders go on ahead first, waiting until Elphelt started to move before keeping up with her so that she could ask a question that had been on her mind when she introduced herself: “You said your last name was Valentine, right? Do you happen to know of Ramlethal?”

Kyubey, meanwhile would keep close by Sayaka, take the first opportunity to look around the group as they progressed and see who was there, especially anyone that he hadn’t seen back at the shuttle in Hanger 105.

Carmilla & Alucard, Dracula's Throne Room

Eventually, Carmilla would lead Margaret and Susie up the castle towards the Throne Room of Dracula's Castle with Alucard following them suspicious of them all. What was obvious about the situation was the signs of a battle which was currently being repaired by various monsters. There were no obvious bodies from Imperial Stormtroopers, but Carmilla would clarify that this was a good sign if asked and Alucard would frown in reaction to that. The only detour that Carmilla did was to find Slogra and Gaibon. Eventually, the four vampires found themselves in Dracula's Throne Room where neither Dracula or Lisa appeared to be. The silence was soon broken by Alucard.

"FATHER!" Alucard yelled out to Dracula, making his presence known. After a couple of minutes, one of the other doors opened revealing the magnificent Count Dracula himself, looking rather annoyed at the interruption and fising up his own clothing.

"Son... About time you showed up," Dracula spoke rather tersely to him. There were a lot of issues between them.

"I have heard from Carmilla that my mother is here," Alucard stated to Dracula. The tension in the room was palpable. However, just as Alucard said that, the lovely and beautiful Lisa had walked out from the same room. It was obvious to Margaret and Susie that Lisa was human. That, at least, explains why Alucard is half-vampire then.

"Adrian, I am glad to see you again," Lisa ran over and hugged the dhampir. Alucard hugged Lisa back, smiling just slightly. It was nice to see her again.

"It's good to see you again, mother," Alucard looked over at Dracula again. Dracula looked towards Margaret and Susie. Both of them understood why Dracula wished for Lisa back so it did not need to be said.

"Carmilla, why are there three vampires here," Dracula asked his subordinate. "I know of your little experiment with the corpse you found, but why is there an additional vampire?"

Rather than say it out loud, Carmilla whispered her own reasoning into his ear not wanting anyone else here to hear it.

"I shall take care of that situation tonight, but, Carmilla..." Dracula frowned at his subordinate, growling at her. "You are not to make any more vampires without my foreknowledge, is that clear."

"Understood," Carmilla said, but was angry about it. Dracula walked up to Margaret and Susie as if he was sizing the two up as vampires.

Death, Castlevania

"I have served my Master since he was a human," The Reaper clarified to the Horseman. "He chose to become immortal after the death of his first wife, Elisabetha, and became a vampire of his own free will."

"His soul may still be saved, eventually," The Reaper added as the Horseman would notice the Reaper begin to change shape from that of an imposing skeletal figure to that of a simple priest.

"Perhaps I shall assume a more... human appearance to match your own, Horseman," The Reaper smiled, nodding at the Horseman. Soon enough, Slogra and Gaibon joined the group who looked at the Reaper, at the Horseman, and back at the Reaper again.

"These are my servants, Slogra and Gaibon," The Reaper explained to the Horseman, as well as Crow and Wolf. "Slogra and Gaibon, this is the Horseman Death as well as his two shamen."

[[Center: Batman-Still Lightsaber Fighting Vader]]

Bruce was thrown back head over heels by the lightning attack, though aside from a brief but intense burst of pure pain he was otherwise unharmed thanks to his insulated armor. As he got up with his plasma cutter in hand, Bruce could see that taking Vader on in hand-to-hand was hardly an easy task, but it was hopefully keeping the attention of the cyborg warrior off of some of their more ranged-capable fighters.

The electricity-based attacks seemed to be hurting Darth Vader when they managed to land, so Batman came up with a strategy of his own. He charged Vader again as soon as the initial electrical attacks were over so as not to get caught up and delivered a high-line, heavy slash with his improvised lightsaber, hoping to draw Vader's own saber up to block or parry it. The slash was a trick, though. The real attack was a swift snap-kick to the crotch that only avoided breaking Bruce's foot thanks to his boot's own armor reinforcement.

A kick to the crotch that was carrying the full, concentrated power of the Batsuit's Taser function.

Jason Todd, barely avoiding dying in an explosion for the second time

Jason emerged from the soon-to-be death-filled corridor up the ladder and briefly collapsed over, exhausted. Maybe using guns had made him soft, but peak human conditioning might have been a little beyond him if running from a deadly laser had tired him out after all.

Well, at least the old man had turned out to be useful for something other than being cryptic and vaguely magical. Not that it saved him in the end.

Heh, if only all the mentors in his life could die off so conveniently.

The Emperor's Throne Room

The guards in front of the Emperor, the targets of Undyne's attack, reacted in the same way others before them had, and stepped in front of him, spinning their spears in front of them to deflect the incoming spear attacks.

The guards over at the elevator fared considerably worse. Alice's opponent made a valiant effort to draw a secondary weapon, but had no chance before Alice cut him down. Henry's opponent, meanwhile, was unprepared for the cross blade maneuver, and yelled in pain as he stepped back and dropped the weapon, which, due to the positioning, meant he was now in a prime position to be kicked down the pit.

Vader, meanwhile, slashed at Starfire as she attempted to kick at him, meaning she would find it hard to land the blow. Seeing another lightning ball coming at him, Vader threw his lightsaber, destroying the ball before it reached him. He then retrieved it and spun around as Starfire came in with her follow up, swinging in an attempt to slash her across the chest. He would then turn to block the saber, and ignored the incoming boot. Batman had hardly been the first to attempt to defeat him with such a move. He did not, however, expect the lighting addition, nor the shot of lightning from behind

Jerking wildly yet stiffly due to the armor, he attempted to deliver a sudden blast of force into the ground, creating a minor earthquake effect in the nearby area with which he hoped to stagger Batman and throw off Jaune's aim for a moment.. Should this work as intended, he would try to throw his saber again, as he was not currently in a condition to rise up and advance as normal, this time aiming for Batman's legs, and then turn to force pull the ARC caster out of Jaune's hands.

Outside ISB

Lady nodded, still unconformable with the high number of teenagers she was seeming to bump into, but not exactly in a position to do anything about it, and moved to follow Sakura, making sure to keep a close eye on Kyubey. Delta also motioned for anyone not moving to follow.

Laser tube exit

Meanwhile, Fixer shook his head at the remaining members of the group.

"Damn. I'll be sure to have a drink or two in his honor tonight. We might not hold the Jedi in as high regard as the standard clone troopers, but that man was worthy of the title." After a moment, he started moving forward.. "Ok, time to advance, fire control should be just past this door.

Death Star Fire Control

Fire control, in contrast to the rest of the Death Star so far, was a large, open area where giant pits and walkways without handrails were apparently the order of the day. The main group would find a group of several troopers waiting for them about 50 feet away from the door, who would then open fire with the usual accuracy. While there was no cover to speak of, this was a two way street, with the troopers standing out in the open.

Meanwhile, the laser group would emerge to what could be best described as a side walkway, linking to a larger one. The walkway was narrow enough that only one person could stand on it in a row, but there were no troopers to speak of anywhere in sight range.

Thrax-Ike Hopsital

There was silence on the line for a moment as Thrax considered this information. "While your point is valid, boy,you overestimate your position. Should I do as you say, there is a high chance that, with my depleted numbers, I will be captured or killed. A fact you are no doubt aware of. Thus, it is not within my best interest to venture out into the area you hold."

"Yet, at the same time, I grow curious. You have control over a sniper team surrounding the building, yet you still seem quite eager to get me to expose myself in a foolhardy fashion that puts your men at risk of being wounded or killed, where the smarter tactical play would be to wait me out, pick off my men one by one as they expose themselves. So I begin to wonder boy, whenever or not you truly have nothing on these floors you care about."

"Allow me to make you a counter-offer. Prove you have no care for these people, as you would have me believe, cut the power as you have threatened to do. Do this, and I will accept your offer, and let the better warrior win. Refuse, and I will begin rounding up everyone on these floors not in an Imperial uniform and killing them one by one until you order your sniper team to stand down and allow me to leave, at which point I will take the remains of my squad and depart. What say you, boy?"

Ike Hospital first floor

"Well no, we can't just yell, silly! No one will hear us! Whenever Mr J needed to make sure someone knew he had a hostage, he usually broke into a big news station and held everyone at gunpoint as he broadcast the thing live. I guess you could just throw some live video on the internet too if you wanted, but Mr J always liked the personal touch, you know? Not to mention the news people have a lot better equipment then some cell phone camera."

Dante/Trish-Common Room(Demon party)

Trish laughed when her target just happened to be out in the open. "Huh. Well that was easy." Then she spotted Dante, and waved.

"Trish!" He said as he saw her. "What's going on?"

"Well-" She then stopped as Okuu bluntly stated why she was there. She shook her head at her.

"Not much for tact, are you?" She said. "Look, I'll give it to you straight. We're demon hunters, and I went into your place a bit ago to check up on things, make sure none of you demons or oni or whatever you call yourselves had any plans to go on a rampage and start attacking humans. No offence, when you live in a place named Hell, former or not, you raise a few eyebrows. Now, when I was there, a few of the locals said that you're usually the toughest, most aggressive of these Oni that are running around."

Dante, quickly picking up on what was going on, raised his hands preemptively. "Now, she's not saying we think you're going to just go and start killing people. I mean, you seem sane enough, most of the demons we deal with can't even talk. But when people start talking to one of us about some violent demon who's gonna cause trouble, we have to check it out, just to check whenever or not it's an accurate report. Not trying to piss you off or offend you or anything like that."

Nero-Common Room (The glowy green guys)

Meanwhile, Nero's attention was taken by the demon looking guy yelling at some other guy like he was in the army, both in one of the sillyist looking suits he had ever seen, and he could not help but chuckle as he walked over.

"Phhhh.....ok, guys? I'm sorry, I really am, but, buddy?" He said, looking at Kilowog. "You can act like some hardass army drill sargent as much as you want, but no one, and I mean no one, is going to take you seriously in an outfit like that. I mean, seriously, glowing neon green?"

Starfire—Imperial Room

Starfire grunted as Darth Vader avoided her two attacks. The princess kept hovering in the air. She glared at him with the righteous anger that fueled her super strength. Her hands were still covered by the green plasma energy of her starbolts.

Although she wasn't able to grab the blade outright, when the sith lord tried to slash her in the chest, she covered the blow from the light saber with her closed fist. The energy of her starbolts protected her hand from being harmed.

Given her power of flight, Starfire was not affected by the Earthquake attack Darth Vader had just done. At the same time Vader finished his move, Starfire flew straight at Vader. She started to punch at him over and over, aiming at his chest, hoping to land some blows. The strenght of her fist was one that could easily shatter a rock.

At the same time an eyeblast aimed at Vader's helmet came from her eyes.

Satori, Yuugi & Okuu, Common Room
As their scantily clad associate entered and made her case for Yuugi, Satori decided it was time to warm up the ol' third eye and take a good look around on the inside. The first two were fine, but this one made the idea of demon-killing seem a little less palatable.

Also, she led her pet bird astray, that's another unforgivable sin.

Trish's spiel garnered a raised eyebrow from Yuugi, who still stared her down as she said "First off, I'll ask politely. Can you tell me which one of those locals described me as the most aggre-"

"Utsuho did," Satori suddenly said, pointing at the culprit without looking away from Trish.

The oni sighed. "Really, Utsuho?"

Sputtering about for a moment as her treachery was found out, Utsuho looked toward the ground forlornly. "...I didn't say aggressive, uhh-"

"Whatever, whatever. You ravens really don't have tact, do you? Augh..." Yuugi closed her eyes and rubbed her temple, trying to think of times when she had smarter, stronger and less conniving companions to work with, before looking back to Trish.

"Let's consider my option here. You're not the first group of humans to walk up to an oni, expecting them to respect their strength with words alone. You're definitely not the first that I've dealt with! Humans really seem to think that their reputation moves ahead of them like some kind of invisible spirit. They think that just words could settle conflict. I don't think like that. I believe in physical proof."

She leaned down on one knee, moving to Trish's eye level. "So, if you're gonna shove your authority into the business of Oni, do it my way. We go somewhere quiet, and I'll give you a minute to kill me, or whatever you do. Then, I'll just try to knock you over. Simple, easy, and if I'm impressed, I'll consi-"

"I wouldn't advise that, Hoshiguma. These hunters seem...rather adept."

Yuugi turned her head to Satori, and laughed. A great, booming laugh that hardly seemed in place of such a dainty woman, but it was something that anyone, young or old, in Former Hell could identify as being the laugh of Yuugi Hoshiguma. "Okay, Satori. Not really the time for jokes in the middle of a serious conversation like this."

But Satori's frown didn't budge an inch yet. "They've killed gods before."

Yuugi's beaming smile quickly turned into a confused smirk, and then a grim frown. "I'm stronger than the gods, you know that. Just...you know why everyone hates you, Satori? You try to take the fun out of everything. It can't be accidental."

Satori stared at her for a few seconds, and then a content smirk slowly grew on her face. "I may, I may."

She decided that rubbing her temples wasn't going to help here, and turned back to Trish, standing up to her full height. "Look. I'm not really concerned about your credentials. I don't think that the oni are really your concern here, it's the youkai that don't have the decency to keep to themselves. There are some oni that long for the good old days where they'd rape and pillage whatever village they felt like every few years, that's true, and I don't know how they're gonna take this new world thing. Most like keeping to themselves, though. I've been thinking about this."

"The real issue I have is that almost all of them would be incensed if a bunch of humans were to suggest anything to them. Not only that, but if they suspected that one of them coerced me, the toughest and most aggressive oni of all, into listening to them, they'd be out for blood. I can't lie and say I fought you, and now, I can't just pretend you never contacted me, thanks to a certain dumb bird who I'm sure had to let everyone know," she said as she shot a glare in said bird's direction.

"So, I've got one idea in mind. Hear me out. Which one of you is the best drinker?"

Death Star Firing Control Room-Damian

"Seriously?! Are we still not there yet? I've run out of patience for these IMBECILES!"

By the time they'd emerged into yet another room full of white-clad, bucketheaded cannon fodder, Damian had had just about enough. All he wanted was revenge on Tarkin and by extension the rest of the Empire for blinding and humiliating him earlier in the day. It wasn't much to ask for, just a chance to torment an old, villainous man a little before they saved the day. But noooooo, they had to keep sending out wave after wave of failures and frankly it made the ex-Assassin child more than a little irritable.

Well enough was enough, they didn't have time to stand around while the inept 'soldiers' of spaceland took inaccurate potshots at them. He grabbed about four mid-yield explosive bird-a-rangs in each hand and just flung them at the Stormtroopers on the other side of the room in an attempt at a literally explosive tantrum.

"You can all just DIE and speed things along already, flung broken into bottomless pits in...in...SPACE for all eternity you plastic-wearing, incompetent lickspittles!"

Father could yell at him later, if he actually found out. These were soldiers, not common criminals. Stupid, bucketheaded, eternally frowning soldiers! Besides, Damian doubted the current group he was with would stoop to tattling like schoolyard infants.

Well, so he hoped.

Death Star, Fire Control: Don't. Look. Down.

Bond might catch Misaki giving him a few glances as he spoke. Maybe she was just being polite by turning some focus to him, but the rate she did it seemed to suggest something else. It almost looked like she was making double-takes, as if she'd somehow seen him before. In the Common Room, probably; but then why did she keep looking?

When Sakaya appeared, Misaki gave the Magical Girl a nod, and not much else. Like Lady, she'd had her fill of children butting in to adult affairs, no matter how "magical" these teenagers might be.

That being said, Kyubey's introduction forced Misaki to give a sharp gasp. She'd never encountered a telepath before, Contractor or otherwise. Having a foreign voice inside her head felt strangely invasive, like that rabbit-thing had just violated her privacy. Her lips clenched at the thought, and she made sure to avoid any further contact with the creature.

The Red Guard treated Kyubey quite differently. Toad, Rogue, and Arachne gave it smiles and polite waves, while Nightcrawler reached down to pet the creature with his long bony fingers. Mystique acted much like Misaki, and ignored the creature altogether. Wolverine, however, glared at Kyubey with a look just shy of hostile.

Just so you know, I'm not a fan of telepaths. he thought for the rabbit-thing's sake. Three tiny claws peeked out of his clenched fist, so subtle that only someone from Kyubey's angle would get a good look at them.

Consider this your one warning: keep out.

As the door to the Fire Control center opened, the Red Guard went right back into battle formation...only to watch the immediate threat get dealt with as soon as it appeared.

Misaki and the Red Guard were left speechless. Arachne planted a thumb and index finger over her brow in a gentle "face palm." Mystique sighed and thanked God that Kurt had outgrown his tantrum stage. Nightcrawler shifted on his feet uncomfortably, and Wolverine couldn't help but laugh along with Rogue. Only Toad and Misaki stared at the Boy Wonder in soft horror; they even had their mouths open a bit.

In the end, Rogue was the first to find her tongue again. "Holy shit, kid!" she said through the laughter, "You need a nap or somethin'?"

Genosha Palace, Salon: Good Answer! [lol]

Magnus waited for his regal companion to finish, before lifting his chin with a smile.

"Your Grace, I could not have said it better. That twist in your stomach is a sign that you truly value the life of others, even your enemies. It's an admirable attribute in a leader, one that's as good as it is rare. I am relieved to know that, regardless of our other differences, we have this in common."

The Mutant King moved on to more practical questions: how long had the Underground been on this planet, which Battleworld states or groups the Underground knew, and their relationships, and finally what damages to the Underground the Empire had caused, and what Genosha could do to aid in relief efforts. In exchange for his questions, Magnus discussed his own kingdom's resources and relations whenever asked.

Asgore might learn that Genosha had barred itself off on all sides immediately after appearing on Battleworld—a feat performed by King Magnus himself, with some assistance from other powerful Mutants. His Majesty's second decree was to declare neutrality with all of Genosha's neighboring kingdoms, though he may have (un)intentionally broken that promise before the day was over. While King Magnus had provided refuge to the rightful heir of Outworld a group of refugees from Hell's Gate Tokyo, neither of these neighbors had shown signs of retaliation; Magnus couldn't provide a reason why. Physical states aside, His Majesty had granted audiences with the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad (or SEES), who were planning to broker an alliance between all the states on Battleworld's Eastern Hemisphere.

And of course, Asgore would be invited to the joyous wedding between Kitana of Outworld and Magnus' only son, Prince Pietro.

"It's a case of love at first sight, from what I hear." the Mutant King smiled. "Oh, the passions of youth."

The Battleworld

All of the representatives not currently on the Death Star would hear an announcement in their heads.

"Attention Battleworld, I am bringing another new group in. Join me in welcoming Baron Abel and the Arad Explorers to the Battleworld."

those who had been pulled to this world would wake up to find themselves in a room. This may be a room that was pulled from their home reality, or a room simply built to the tastes of its new occupants. In the hand of the representative of the groups (that is, the main character) would be a note.

Greetings. Right now, I am sure you have questions. What happened? Who is responsible for this?. Suffice it to say, you are no longer on your world. Now, you are in MY world. You are far from the only ones I have brought here, however. If you wish to learn more, please exit the room and proceed down the hallway. More information will be distributed there.

Those that left would find themselves in a white hallway, with many other doors lining it, each door being marked with the name of the group inside and the name of their chosen rep. (Again, whoever had the note in his or her hand on waking up.) Said hallway would only lead one way, and lead them to a room Blank white walls stood on all sides of them, with only a giant round table in the center stopping it from looking like a white void. In the center of said table stood a rotating globe, with the map of the new world on it, each land clearly marked with the name of the land and the name of their chosen representative (That is, the one who received the note) under it. Above it, in gigantic letters, was the name of the world, Battleworld.

Around the table were chairs, some of which had names on the back. The leader would find a chair with their name on it, and other chairs would have names that matched the names on the globe. One chair, The Cure's giant black throne, stood away from the rest. In it sat a giant of a man, standing at about 20 feet tall, with blood red skin covering his body apart from bits that were covered in leather bindings. He turned to the newcomers with his pure black eyes, and smiled, revealing his rotting teeth. He raised his hand as the newcomers entered, and waved them over to them

Ikebukuro Sniper Nest

Sloan clicked his tongue astonishingly as he affixed a new earpiece to Ruby's ear, with the care and grace of a body piercer with a hot needle. "Do not be worrying about that, I will be guiding you every step of the way! Get back to building, and I will guide you up. If you are followed, do not go straight to window, will give away our position. Understand?"

Getting to his feet, the large Russian held out his hand. "And, I will hold cloak. I will be taking best of care of it, do not worry! It is in safest hands since one who made it." He gave a beefy thumbs up. "Now go! Do not be being afraid of the big bad wolves!"

"I don't know!" Ryo said exasperatedly, plopping back down onto his behind. Having resolved not to play his harmonica, but too wired to do anything else, he balanced his knees against his thighs and shelved his chin in his palms.

Death Star Firing Control Room

By the time their posse had made it to the room in question, Celty was beat. Her arms hung down like wet noodles as she hunched forward slightly, echoing El's general sentiment of "so done with this", while some part of her swirling mass of sensory organs was somehow still ringing from the death trap that seemed more aptly designed for a roadrunner than a living, breathing person with working eyes. Okay, bad metaphor.

Currently, the Dullahan was busily casting an invisible side-eye at the perpetually-smiling weasel-ferret thing, under the suspicion that it was part of another unbelievably stupid death trap that would spring at any moment, maybe in case a wandering child reached out and started petting it or something. Not that we don't have enough children... Celty thought, gaze flicking to Damien even as they emerged into a large room. She then continued to stare in alarm as the boy launched an all-too-lethal assault against their sudden, ill-fated opposition. Putting in as little thought to saving them as Damien had to killing them, Celty reached out with both hands, gathering the shadows lurking underneath the walkways into a churning, shadowy sea. As the lightly-charred forms of the Storm Troopers would coast over the edge, Celty would attempt to catch the lot of them with a series of anenome-like tendrils emanating from the bottom of the walkways that would surge out and surround them. Were she successful, she would leave them hanging there, safe and alive, but incapacitated, upside-down like partially-singed bats.

Whether or not Celty was successful, and lacking both her arms and her face, she called upon the only admonishing limb she had left, and attempted to distractedly drive her toe into Damien's thigh.

Shirley - Team Laser

Being the fastest in the group, Shirley was already up the ladder by the time the hastened shot flashed into existence. Frowning, she wondered if she had counted the last wrong. Then the others arrived, and she saw that their numbers had diminished by one: the kindly-looking old cloaked man. Fixer's words confirmed it. An ally gone, just like that.

...there would be time for grieving later. Right now she had a mission. She took up position by the door and prepared her machine gun. She would prefer someone more heavily shielded to take point.

Sypha, Emperor's Throne Room

Once more, Sypha threw out a Holy Lightning towards Darth Vader, though it seems like both Batman and Jaune had picked up on what she was doing and have joined in with their own electricity based attacks. Apparently, Lightning was Darth Vader's weakness which gave Sypha the excuse to spam more of it. However, Sypha was beginning to worry that Vader might stand up against them long enough for her to not have enough magic to use against the Emperor.

"Actually," Hal said to Grant, pushing Kilowog aside. "That is a very good description of our job! If by knights you mean police." Looking over his wardrobe, Hal wondered if the man even knew what a 'police officer' was supposed to be.

"My name is Hal Jordan. And that's Kilowog." He waved over to the angry warthog-man, who just grunted back. "We're Green Lanterns. I guess the best way of putting it is that we're a bunch of people who protect the peace in the galaxy. Not just one world." He twirled his fingers around. "The whole thing."

"Don't let this poozer trick you into thinking he's more than what he is." Kilowog jumped in. "Back home, we've got about eight thousand Lanterns in the Corps. Each one's got a sector, so it's not the whole thing."

"He likes to harsh my buzz, if you know what I mean."

Ew, Hal. Multiversal standards aside, who the heck even says harsh my buzz anymore?

"Anyway, I got two questions for you. One, what's your name? Two, does anyone here look like a bad guy? My experience says that nine out of ten times, if it looks like a bad guy, it's a bad guy."

"That's called prejudice."

"Seven out of ten."

"Jordan."

"It's a starting point but certainly not enough for me to draw a complete conclusion from." Hal gritted his teeth and glared back at Kilowog. "Satisfied?"

"No. But it'll do."

Here We Go Again

Fate was a finicky thing, one that had its clutches in just about everything. Especially so for a certain gathering of plucky people. One moment the group of like-minded adventurers were ruminating the death of an Apostle by the hands of a certain Imperial swordsman and the next, they were now in an entirely different location quite unlike anything they've ever experienced. Needless to say it wasn't the first time that this had happened and no doubt it'd be the last.

The room they were in seemed to be a bizarre mishmash of the standard inn bedrooms where tired travelers could put down their belongings and enjoy a comfortable respite from the rugged wilderness. The odd part though were the various add-on features consisting of what looked like a small church, a training area filled with wooden dummies, and two workshops- the first one containing a more mechanical flair that held all sorts of gadgets plus tools while the latter appeared to be something out of a fantasy story that consisted of a book lined library and shelves of various mystical ingredients that one would associate with the arcane such as crystal balls, eyes of newts, and a great black cauldron. A brief round of exploration later, the wary group bundled together to follow the source of the voice before finding the Common Room and then the throne of

Quietly staring up at the so-called Cure upon his great throne, the apparent party leader's face was drawn somewhere between a grimace and a scowl as the questions he so wanted to ask were repressed, lying stuck in his mouth so the explanation could be heard. He was a swordsman of exotic features- irises as crimson as rubies and hair as bleached as silk. Even more eye-catching was the fact that the man's left arm was as pallid as marble and a great chained manacle laid clamped down as the dividing line between the flesh's odd discoloration.

"Ah, so much like the Tower of Fallen Souls then. Here to fight for your amusement now just like for that reaper then." Chuckling was another white-haired man, though what he lacked in overall chiseled musculature like the sullen blade holder he more than made up for in lanky height, a full head over six feet in total length. Peering at a hand-sized screen, he grunted before looking towards the others. "Big Red's right, we're in a completely different dimension from Arad or even Pandemonium. Power reading's off the charts for the guy too, literally. Program's just about shortcircuited from the sheer energies involved." True to his words, the computer in question soon crapped itself in a fit of sparks and smoke after the holder all but threw it over his shoulder. "Chances of success on trying to force our way out? Probably between zilch and nada. Not even the Apostles themselves have so much power." Shrugging, the gunsman's easygoing appearance would have been perfect if not for the beads of sweat rolling down his face.

"My senses tell me the same thing as well. It's not like an individual but more like the universe itself..." Shuddering lightly was a brunette woman of oriental features, her svelte frame clad in black silks. "It's like a force of nature rather than a person..." Having been attuned to the world as she was, the sheer presence was almost enough to numb her sixth sense with a bone tingling dread. A glance out of the corner of her eye found that the leader's demon arm itself seemed to be throbbing just by being in the vicinity of the Cure, no doubt the fragment of Kazan being akin to a small fish encountering the shark of the wider oceans.

The last three companions all had grim expressions on their faces after hearing the news from three different people- the huge bear of a man dressed in the clothes of an oriental monk, the petite witch girl with the pointed ears dwarfed by the large exorcist, and a taller than average woman dressed in serviceable traveling leathers hefting a gun almost as tall as her overall height upon her back. It was clear that they too knew from their various senses that as of the moment, there was nothing they could do.

This was not cowardice but simply common sense. Though their powers were great, they were still not the best at their craft. Though they always excelled over beings vastly more powerful than they, it was not to the extent as the being before them. As such, they could only do as told and watch out for themselves by going along with the wishes. At the very least, they only had to fight and thus could pick their opponents. Villains would be singled out to be toppled and the innocent left alone to do as they wished or protected from darker machinations.

Finally ready to say something, the leader stepped out before his various friends and comrades-in-arms, glancing behind them with a gaze that was softened quite noticeably compared to his gimlet gaze towards the Cure. Taking a deep breath, the young man steeled himself and looked up at the demonic being with resolve in his eyes. He was always small compared to the giants out there but at least he could hold his head up to some extent. His whole life had been an exercise in suffering and this was simply yet another obstacle in the ever so thorny path he was forced to walk.

"Greetings.. Cure." Speaking neither overbearingly or servile, the swordsman gave a slight nod. "You at least have compensation for this... game of yours, right? It might help us be more motivated." Said in a half-joking tone, the Slayer tested the waters so to speak. Whenever greater beings or deities wanted something done, they would at least reward those that performed admirably and the man was determining whether or not this was such an event that could be used to better the group in question either by giving them special techniques, information, or items.

Dante/Trish-Common Room

Both Trish and Dante looked over at Satori when she mentioned the bi about them killing gods.

"One second, I'll be right with you." Trish said to Yuugi. Then she crossed her arms and looked at Dante.

"Did you-"

"Nope."

At this point, both Trish and Dante looked over at Satori. While Dante did not look really angry, Trish now seemed slightly annoyed as she took a guess what had happened.

"Care to explain yourself, Ms....?"

Nero-Common Room

"Name's Nero." Nero said to the pair. "So, space cops? Like out of some si-fi movie? Well, I guess that explains the glowy green suits. Still can't take you seriously, big guy, no offense."

"Anyway, you're looking for bad guys to arrest? Hell, we could give you a whole list of em. We've been here since this thing started, so we've seen a lot of the wackjobs by now. We're Demon Hunters, so we make it our business to keep an eye out for demons we might need to shoot in the future. But the biggest threat running around right now ain't on that map."

"There's been some stupidly powerful demon running around for a while now, apparently this thing can take the form of any person he wants and mimic them perfectly, down to knowing personal facts he's got no business knowing. We know this thing's pretended to be one of us to get at some chick named Sypha, she's been staying in our room ever since that happened, we know it's powerful enough to laugh off a lot of punishment, and yesterday he apparently hacked some message board account or something on the internet to try to cause mass panic in one of these other places."

"That's all I can tell you, we don't even have a name for this thing yet. Long and short of it, this thing's bad news, and chances are good it ain't done yet. So you're gonna wanna watch yourselves.

The Cure-Common Room

The Cure turned to deliver his usual speech to the newcomers, then chuckled at the question. "But of course, I am prepared to offer you rewards should you play the game. Every so often, I allow those who prove entertaining the option to make a request of me. You can ask for anything you want, money, a new power, someone raised from the dead or to be brought to this world. I reserve the right to refuse requests that will grant you too much of an advantage, but other then that, I place no restrictions."

Death Star Fire Control

The troopers, not really having room to evade, were knocked over by the blasts, one dropping his rifle on the walkway as he fell. Then the shadows grabbed them, and the troopers, not prepared for anything like this, started screaming in fear, panic, and various other states of terror . Then both groups in the room would hear a familiar voice over the loudspeakers.

"Ah, I see you have arrived. No matter. You cannot halt what is to come. Lay down your weapons and I will permit you to live out the rest of your lives in an Imperial labor camp. Otherwise, you will die here, along with the rest of your primitive planet."

Those looking for likely location for Tarkin would see a large pillar with electricity flowing through it in the center of the room, past a number of walkways with various terminals on them. The laser team would be closer then the main team at this point.

Death Star, Fire Control: (Literally) Leaping Into Action!

Wolverine tiched at the Grand Moff's offer. "Nightcrawler, Arachne, Toad: let's go give 'em our answer."

Without another word, the Red Guard sprung into action. Arachne sprinted out first and made good use of the Empire's disdain for railings, leaping straight off the main walkway. As she fell, a thick string of web shot out to the bridge's underbelly. She swung nimbly around the dangling troopers and up to a narrower walkway's underbelly, where she launched another web string to swing herself along. While she remained mostly concealed underneath the walkways, there were several moments where the walkways changed direction, and she had to swing out in the open to move forward.

Toad wasn't far behind her, only he used his Mutant legs to jump from one walkway to the next. He moved fast, but he was out in the open and (thanks to the airlock fiasco) weaponless.

Nightcrawler gave everyone a swift wave before grabbing hold of Wolverine's arm. The two Mutants vanished in a blue odorous smoke, and reappeared fifty feet ahead of the room's entrance. From there, they vanished again and popped up another fifty feet ahead, continuing to hop from place to place leaving blue smoke in their wake. While this travel made great time and was almost impossible to predict, there was a strong pause after each jump, and its rate slowed down as they approached the tower. Carrying a living tank like Wolverine wasn't easy, especially when the walkways didn't give much room for error.

Despite their speedy approach, it was unlikely any of the Red Guard would reach the tower before the team from the laser tunnel did. In their haste, the Mutants also ignored the walkways' terminals.

Misaki, Rogue, and Mystique were left to charge the tower the old-fashioned way. The Section Chief snatched the idle blaster rifle on her way to the nearest walkway, where she encountered Rogue fiddling with the terminal.

For a moment, Misaki's curiosity trumped the adrenaline. "What are you doing?" she half-barked.

"Tryin' to figure out what these damn things do." Rogue replied, annoyed. "They've gotta do somethin', right? Maybe it'll keep y'all from fallin' to your deaths!"

Ikebukuro Hospital, Fourth Floor: Oh, to Have Eyes on the Back of Your Head!

Hei used his wide-eyed "startled" face to get a detailed look at Hoshigawa and the nurse; after all, who said this was the real Director...or that the nurse was female? When the Medical Director helped him to his feet, Hei continued to play the part by darting his head around, looking for other invisible booby traps ready to spring. Only after Hoshigawa shook some sense back into him did Hei calm down from the shuddering panic.

The darting glances weren't enough to capture everything, but he might have caught a glimpse of the second nurse and the man behind the newspaper—assuming the flimsy pages limped forward when the man reached for the offered beverage.

With an updated look at his surroundings, Hei nervously shadowed the Director down the hall.

"I, uhhh...well you see, sir, I'm...supposed to get you out of here. This place isn't safe for you anymore—for anyone really—but the boss is worried the Empire might try to keep you as a hostage."

The metal clipboard the Chinese student had dropped remained on the floor; forgotten.

Nero's mention of how he couldn't take Kilowog seriously made the Bolovaxian sputter. "The heck is that supposed to mean, poozer?" He roared, about to demand a detailed explanation (through very painful means, if his clenched fists were any indications) before Hal stepped in.

"We can handle it." Hal lied, smiling despite the amount of bullcrap he was feeding out in giant doses. "You don't get to the position of space cops without being trained to handle a few nigh-unbeatable super evil creatures. I myself dealt with, oh, five or six of those just in the past year?"

He was about to follow it up with an explanation of his rings, but thought that lying about how much power he really had would leave more problematic consequences than just having egg on his face.

"Our greatness aside, I have a theory." Hal jabbed a thumb at the Cure's direction. "He brought us here. He knows who we are. Why would you bring two space cops to a lawless planet, if not because you want said space cops to take care of a problem?"

"All I'm saying is maybe our benefactor there is not as unobtrusive as he says he is. Makes you wonder what other aspects of this game he's hiding." Hal continued, almost adding and if you have any of those secrets, spill 'em to us but deciding that maybe Nero was worth some subtlety.

Adventure in Negotiations

"Ah.. that's very... generous for one of your stature. The most we would get from other such entities would be weapons or items." Slowly mulling over the words in his mouth and finding the offer almost too good to be true, the man with a demon arm glanced back towards his group before his attentive ears heard yet another white haired youth (seriously how much young people had white hair around these parts) say something about a hidden demon that tried to trick others by twisting their trust and using the faces of companions.

"...Jeda, you think you can keep an eye out for that Imposter seeming guy they're talking about?" Looking on over to the muscular holy man, the stalwart giant gave a slight nod. The Priest Order would be of help for such a being given their mission was to cleanse the unseen evils and their eyes were opened to falsehoods and deceptions wearing the masks of men.

That done with, Baron turned back towards the Cure with a complex look on his young but stern face. "...Can you remove a demon parasite from my arm then? Can you cleanse me of this Ghost Arm and ensure that the damned thing won't be able to cause havoc?" As if in response to his question that held barely repressed hope, the pallid limb all but throbbed in agitation- veins throbbing and muscles squirming as though earthworms were churning underneath the skin, the very thing seeming to thrum with hostility for its host to even think of such a thing. Grunting and clenching his teeth together to not let out any unsightly sounds, the man looked quite feral as quiet determination raged within his eyes as he waited for the monster to expend itself and calm down.

Nero-Common Room

Nero took a moment to look over at the Cure as he considered Hal's words. Then he laughed out loud.

"Ha, na man, I think you're reading way too much into this. Like, I don't know if that demon cunt over there made it clear, but we've got literally everything here. Giant intelligent talking robots, used to be some giant mutant turtles, there were some giant talking apes, a Chinese place from like the year 3000 or some shit that pilots other, non-talking robots, a bunch of Japanese places, like three different iterations of Hell at one point or another, and that's not even getting into the people that don't have a place on the map...."

Nero paused a moment to shrug. "Sorry to burst your bubble, man, but I'm like 60% sure this thing just throws darts at some giant list of places and people and chooses at random. I doubt you were sent in specifically to save us from this demon thing, that'd kinda defeat the point of him getting his sick kicks from watching us fight, right?"

The Cure-Common Room

The Cure leaned forward with interest, a smirk appearing on his face as the demon in the arm reacted poorly to the request.

"Indeed, I can remove the beast within your arm if I so choose. It would be simple, in fact. I have killed beings just as powerful as the full version of this demon, used to hunt them for sport in fact. So this will pose no real challenge to me, not a mere fragment. But then, you already know this, or you can guess at it. I can see it in your eyes. And it knows as well, judging by that reaction."

He took a moment to look directly at the arm. "Is that fear I detect in there? Even one such as you no doubt knows when you are outclassed."

He then leaned back, returning to his former position. "But, in order to earn such a favor, you must play the game, as I said. When the time comes, you will be contacted, and then you may officially request the removal of the demonic fragment."
