Genosha, Palace Stairwell: Gotta Go Fast!

The fellow ambushers said their farewells in their own ways, the blue Mutant waved and wished them Viel glück! while Wei barely bothered to smirk in their direction. The Hunters' speed caught the scarred man's attention more than anything, though Ren and Jaune would be too far away to notice Wei's calculating stare.

Meanwhile, Jaune would hear Amber's voice in his earpiece, giving him precise directions on which exit to take, which turns to make, and with an unsettling amount of accuracy. The Hunters wouldn't see any security cameras present aside from the sparse set installed for the Royal Family's safety, but somehow the girl had found a way to see things far beyond a simple map.

In the end, it didn't matter if the Hunters bothered to question Amber's sudden omniscience; they'd find themselves at the edge of Mc Coy Street in roughly ten minutes time. In the distance, the Major's AT-AT slowly clanked towards them.

Genosha, Main Street: Here Comes the Cavalry!

Apart from the sudden shot upwards, Nora would feel a strong sticky substance latch onto her back. The goop pulled tightly on her as the jet pack propelled her upwards, and as more of the substance suddenly caught hold of her it was clear that the bonds were meant to tear her away from her hitchhiked ride. Maybe she'd realize the jetpacker's destination, and that the best move would be to let go and let the lines pull her to safety while her opponent slammed headfirst into impenetrable metal. Or maybe she didn't like the idea of being webbed, and would stay on board for the full flight. Either way, something would have to give.

The smoking tank would have some unexpected trouble of its own: something (or someone) was ripping its hull to shreds, trying to burrow its way to something important.

Inside the Wynegarde building, Maki tried to calm his heart rate as he curled up under the front desk. He'd expected to be chased, and planted a few handprints on both sides of the desk just to be safe, but after a few minutes of chaos that never passed the rotating doors, Maki began to believe the stormtroopers had lost him. He peeked out of his hiding spot and sure enough, there were no troops to be seen.

He couldn't go back out there; sabotaging the vehicles themselves was just too risky, and Nora wouldn't be able to cover him forever. He'd have to make due with the resources at hand—all twenty-eight floors of resources.

Maki dashed to one of the elevators and pressed for the nineteenth floor. As he rode upwards he tried to recollect everything he gathered about the big camel-like machine: its mobility, its apparent inflexibility, the location of its weapons. Altogether it seemed like a machine designed to attack only from the front, maybe with the range of a person's field of vision. Either way, it didn't look equipped to counter attacks from above. He might be able to work with that, depending on what he could drop on it.

Upon reaching the nineteenth floor, Maki made quick work of the locked doors and started scanning the production office space for things to use. When he checked the wall of windows to see where the AT-AT had moved to. It seemed to have paused for the time being, but it wouldn't stand still for long. Measuring up the distances as best he could, Maki got to work.

Genosha, Palace Lounge: Your Buddy's A Major Dick!

Perhaps surprisingly, Magnus chose not to interrupt. Instead, he let his anger at the Major's words fester and boil as Agent Vicket returned to the lounge. She would find the Mutant King leaning on the wall beside the door, arms crossed, with a cold and sharp look on his face she'd never seen before.

"Your Excellency's associate is quite...impulsive."

HGT Shinjuku: We Don't Like to Talk About That...

Kono answered the easier question first. "Yeah, Dolls don't move around much. Don't do much of anything unless they're told to, but they send out those Specters we mentioned earlier."

Confidentiality wasn't the highest priority with these kids—they had the power to tear this car in half, and they damn well might if they thought the cops were keeping something from them.

...which lead Matsumoto to talk about the first portal incident. "No, the Empire didn't wreck that little neighborhood. That happened two days ago, the first night we arrived on this rock.

"The Chief was one of the first people to learn about Battleworld, and with her help we tracked down this portal without much trouble. We thought we were ready for any visitors; had a whole squad right on top of the thing, just to be safe. Turns out that wasn't enough."

Ranma might notice that the car was accelerating, a byproduct of the driver's suppressed anger. "From what I hear, it was just one man: a swordsman with white hair and a blue coat. When the squad asked for a name, he just started cutting them down, one by one. The survivors said his sword could deflect bullets, that he could move thirty feet faster than you can blink. Whatever he did, the bastard killed eleven good men and women in less than a minute."

"We...don't know where he went after that." Kono added in a lower, sadder tone. "He crossed paths with a known assassin and it looks like they left for Hell's Gate. That's not a place most people can get to, and for good reason."

The redhead pointed to something along the horizon: a subtle shift in the skyline that suggested something big—massive—was camouflaged in the heart of the city.

"You think our front door looks bad? What's behind that wall's a billion times worse."

The Institute, Exterior: These Are Not the Contractors You're Looking For...

At some point, the sinking AT-ST would reach a tipping point and fall on its side. The cloaked Contractor had managed to claw her way behind some concrete rubble, were she could drop her ability and pray the enemy didn't find her again.

Out by the tree, the purple-eyed boy had managed to keep himself from harm, thanks largely to the walker's slightly disoriented aim. But his cover was still compromised, and a few well placed shots could chop down that tree and crush him. He had to risk it and run back towards the portal. Taking a moment when the remaining two walkers were focused elsewhere, the boy made a desperate break for the wall closest to him and the portal, thirty feet away.

With the enemy no longer shooting at him, the telekinetic Contractor could concentrate on taking down the "sweeping" walker that nearly killed his comrade. Much like before, his body glowed a cold blue as one of the walker's joints started to rattle out of place. Out from behind her column, the track suit girl kept a close watch on the man and the remaining AT-S Ts, ready to deploy her shield in case one of the vehicles heard the terrified pilot's "Jedi" cry and turned in his direction.

Meanwhile, the "Jedi" in question was equally delighted and confused by her new title. She snickered her way behind cover, expecting some more pilots to escape from their downed walkers.

The Femme Fatale had her hands full keeping the final AT-ST focused on her. Thankfully, she enjoyed having an attentive audience.

Ikebukuro Hospital, Third Floor: Lee the Expert Electrician

Lee was more than a little reluctant to follow Kida's lead, perhaps in more ways than one.

"Y-yeah, you've got a point." his broad shoulders slouched, "Sorry about that, boss. Again."

At least the kid offered a nonviolent route with the elevator. The college student immediately turned his head to those two chrome doors.

"You can leave that to me. Just be ready to get them back up here."

He stopped after a few steps towards the elevator to give Kida a worrysome smile. "And...be careful, y'know?"

At the elevator doors, Lee performed the ingenious technique he'd learned after years of study: push the elevator button over and over so nobody else could use it!

click

click click click

clickclickclickclickclickclickBZZZGT!!!

Without warning, a spark of electricity bolted from the button panel and the elevator stopped working altogether. To reach Kida, the stormtroopers would have no choice but to go up the way they came.

New Home

Sev wouldn't find any immediate threat as he disembarked from the elevator, as the guards were still busy trying to catch up. However, as he headed through the eerily lit cathedral that was the Final Corridor, he soon heard the pattering of small feet coming up behind him.

Naturally, the route from the house to Vida came right past the last elevator, and so it was that Asriel, Mao and possibly Arcade headed into the final corridor, and suddenly found one of the Delta Squad members up ahead. Surprised and confused, Asriel waved and called to Sev. "Hey, wait up!"

Sev- The Underground

Sev moved out to the Final Corridor, his blaster raised as to prepare for ambushes, while trying to get to the evacuation zone. Suddenly, he heard the voices of not the royal guards behind him, though the voice was instead from the Prince of the Underground, followed by the strangely suspicious cat and the man in a labcoat, yelling him to wait up.

Right now, it would be best to act natural. The labcoat man with the blaster was the highest priority to take down, but he needed to wait for the best time.

Sev waited for them to come near him, and when they arrive near his position, he spoke to them. "What is it? I was currently trying to find the imperial officer near this area."

Death Star: Mercy's for Suckers

Havoc BK-201 remained silent for the entire orientation, even though an eyebrow threatened to fly up when Mott mentioned destroying the planet.

Goddammit. She was half-hoping Nyarlathotep's "planet destroying laser" comment was a bluff. Oh well; least she wasn't on that rock.

In her own quiet way, the Empire's newest recruit was quite pleased with the holocom; she needed a new phone, and this nifty thing got better reception than anything back home! The blaster rifle also interested her, as her eyes scanned every feature of the weapon: the 500 bolt ammunition, the extendable stock, the mechanism to switch firing rates, the stun setting—

The what? Havoc's face scrunched slightly as Mott mentioned the stun feature, as if the nonlethal mode somehow tainted the thing. After a small chuckle at the struggling troopers' expense, the Contractor went straight to her one complaint.

"Why do we need a stun setting, sir? From the environment you described, any bullet's nonlethal when you've got decent aim. Why lose a chance to cripple the enemy by switching gears like that?"

Her question wasn't in her typical uninterested/condescending tone (she was trying to be a good girl!), but it still held a hint of something negative. Something gentler than disgust, maybe disappointment. Commander Mott might view it as a Savage's remorse for leaving her brutal methods behind, or maybe he'd appreciate her commitment to delivering pain to the Empire's enemies. Either way, the Contractor would take the weapon if he offered it.

The Underground, Final Corridor: Mao's Paranoia Actually Pays Off!

Mao came to a dead halt as the Monster Prince greeted the last person he wanted to see: one of those Commandos who knew far too much about the Empire. And the grumpiest one at that!

After an especially loud growl warning Asriel to keep his distance, Mao realized something about Sev's comment, not including his odd grammar. He decided to raise it; for better or worse, he didn't need the "house pet" ruse anymore.

"What makes you think the officer went this way?" he asked the Commando. "Have you seen her?"

Folkestone Air Base - Air Strip Approach

"Okay, got it!" Eila said and immediately relayed everything to central command and got a response. "They are cleared to land on the airstrip."

From the sky, the shuttle pilots might notice the airstrip below light up as Folkestone prepared to welcome their allies. Much less visible was the gunners in the AA guns relaxing.

At the same time, the allies that had arrived through the portal were approaching the large terminal building, where the large mecha from Peace River still stood parked. Shirley saluted the man on guard duty, and the motley crew of wizards and squaddies were allowed inside the large WWII-era hangar. There was a lot of activity going on inside as repairmen in military drab hustled and bustled to repair and service Striker Units, but more than a few stopped for a moment to regard the new arrivals.

"Anyone want some tea while we wait?" Shirley asked and indicated a kettle and teacups nearby.

Folkestone Air Base - Portal Beach

The soldiers on duty looked at each other uneasily. More unfamiliar names.

"Sorry, boy," the officer in charge said. "None here by that name. But he might be coming in on the next flight. What's in the briefcase?"

Mitakihara - On the cusp of attaining victory

Mio took a moment to take stock of the situation. Only one tank remained, and allied reinforcements were almost here. But the Imperials didn't seem to care about surrendering, a man coming out of the remaining tank to start firing.

"Barkhorn, take out the last tank."

If Mami's musket bullet did not take care of the tank commander, the cannon rounds from Gertrud's AAC should at least take of his tank. Mio could not make herself ask her girls to aim at the man when she could not make herself draw her sword against him. Instead, she took this moment to have a look over the assorted girls with her Magic Eye.

She could make out the magical signatures of...three? Four? And they were strange magics indeed. Mio had seen a few dark and ruthless abilities in her life, but it paled in comparison to the downright menacing nature coming from most of these. One of them was different from the other, which Mio thought was the one who had asked for a surrender, but that was also very different from everything Mio had seen so far. Well, Battleworld was good at that. She made a mental note to have a chat with them afterwards. First they had to clean up this battlefield.

Mitakihara

A gray blur appeared, and the blaster shot sent Sin's way burst into useless sparks against Ramlethal's Great Sword.

After Mami's musket shot rang (which was likely to strike the commander who took a shot at Sin), Ramlethal sent her own projectile, her other Great Sword, barreling straight at the tank, attempting to stab straight through it.

Bumblebee - Common Room

"Yang."

"Blake."

Both girls returned the wave, and stared a little at the creature on Aerrow's shoulder.

"And don't worry, I get that reaction a lot. Blake prefers the shadows, though, like a ninja."

Yang punctuated that with vague hand-chopping motions, while Blake brought her palm to her face.

"So, you're called the Storm Hawks?"

Martial Arcs - Nearly JNR again, Genosha Streets

Jaune and Ren took a moment to look at the AT-AT in the small distance, and immediately ran for cover, the corner of a building providing it amply. Even at this range, the guns on that thing were obvious.

"Plan?" Ren panted, glancing around the corner at the lumbering mech.

"How many guns do you see?"

"Two, big ones. On the head."

"If we can get under it, it can't shoot us. This is a city, it's gotta have alleyways."

Both boys immediately spotted a side street and ran for it. From there, they would make their way through the twists and turns, checking their position relative to the AT-AT every time they found an alley leading to Mc Coy Street. Any obstacle in their way was jumped over by Ren and cut through by Jaune.
Nora - Genosha Streets, but further down the the street, ya dig?

You know, if you asked Nora what was going to happen when she jumped on the trooper, she might have guessed him trying to ram.

She didn't expect something yanking her off.

The pink girl hit the ground in a roll, the fall shaving off some more of her aura, and getting herself lightly tangled in the webline. That brought her attention to it, and Nora grabbed the webbing in one hand and yanked hard with her enhanced strength.

What? If someone lasso'd you off your hard-earned mount, you'd think they were an enemy too.
Bond - Shuttle Above Folkestone

"I'd rather you not traumatize the pilot while he's in the process of landing. I don't know about the people of your universe, but the people of my universe tend to die when spacecraft crash."
Intern - Portal Beach, Folkestone

"Uhhh..." The young man stammered. "It's combat equipment. You know, guns and... other stuff that goes bang. To destroy bits of the space station with. That sort of stuff. Y'know? I don't want to say the word in case someone shoots me for saying it."

Fixer nodded to Eila once she mentioned the shuttle was clear for landing as he then returned to speak to Han.

Aerrow, Common Room

Aerrow nodded to the two girls, planning to explain what the Storm Hawks were, and then Robin came and introduced himself and called the Storm Hawks a superhero squadron. A superhero squadron? Like in cartoons? They didn't exist. Apparently though, where this guy came from, they did. How weird.

"Aerrow. And the Storm Hawks aren't a superhero team, we're a Sky Knight squadron. Nice to meet you Robin."

Aerrow took Robin's hand, while Radarr skittered a hello.

Piper, Common Room

"You get that a lot? I'm so, so sorry."

Piper giggled at Yang's antics (and Blake's reaction) reading the atmosphere between them. She sympathised with Blake, she really did, but still.

Institute - Interior

Q2-22 instantly succumbed to a blaster-inflicted wound that went straight through his chest, just as he was about to beg for his life.

As the Imperials progressed further into the fortified areas of the Institute, the leading figure spoke again.

"You seem to be in possession of working military androids. I'm impressed. But that raises the question of why you're still so eager to shed your own flesh and blood in battle... But your methods don't matter now, do they? You came here to acquire the discoveries we've attained over the centuries, and we'll be happy to share the fruits of our knowledge."

As soon as the voice finished, the Imperial troops were immediately confronted by the bulk of the Institute's so-called military. The Institute was cornered, but far from outmatched. Another platoon of armored, rifle-weilding synths moved in to face the Galactic elites. Assisting the synths were two gorillas that both scowled at the intruders, and three synths that were clad in black armor. The gorillas rushed forward on all fours towards their enemies, smashing their huge fists on the ground with each movement closer to their prey, while all the synths predictably opened fire on the Stormtroopers yet again, fighting with no real strategy.

Castlevania - Lovikov

The Russian stared at the ruined draw bridge absolutely dumbfounded. They had to get out of the castle. Castle exit is destroyed. His hung over brain remained stuck in that loop before inspiration struck. They were in a castle!

Lovikov walked over to the nearest candle fixture on the wall and grabbed hold. Using all his might, he ripped it right out of the wall. He seemed completely surprised at the result. That wasn't suppose to happen at all! What good was that!?

All that accomplished was having an entire roast chicken appear. He didn't have time to eat that! Then again, he may have been imagining the food, hung over and a few pints short of blood as he was. The fact that it was steamed and fully cooked should have been a give away. Seeing his attempt at saving them was fruitless, he slumped over dejected.

"These castle usually have secret door, da? Like movie."

He couldn't let himself be deterred just because the first attempt failed. Until a better idea came to mind, the drunk would continue a trail of arson across the hall, collecting an assortment of imaginary power ups along the way.

Common Room

The small child looked up at the woman who approached her with big blue eyes. The woman was beautiful, like her mother. In comparison, she in her simple white dress probably seemed plain. She smiled and opened her mouth to answer, but then looked to the shorter of the two gentlemen, as if trying to get permission.

They were here for her protection, but even so, that didn't mean that this room was with out it's dangers. Knowing the wrong people can be just as damning. This woman was something of a celebrity, the wife of Dracula. One day she will suffer for that association alone. He did not want the small girl to get caught any of this. Perhaps bringing her here was a mistake. But it was too late to question that.

The short man looked from the small girl the the wife of Dracula. He stared a moment, weighing the pros and cons, before standing up. There was only three seats, and he could not ask a woman to stand. He offered his seat and got to work pouring another cup of hibiscus tea for the table. The small child was overjoyed at the new addition to the tea party.

"I'm Jeane! What's your name?"

The short man twitched some at hearing the girl use her real name. But before anything more could happen, a flying orange green eyed alien introduced her self. The larger man completely startled spilled his tea all over himself while the other two could only watch as the girl admired child's work, introduced her self and was subsequently dragged off all in quick succession. Weller and Jeane could only wave the girl off confused as the taller man choked from the sudden close encounter with the orange kind.

Of course, there was always the possibility they rode flying horses, given how the day was going.

HGT Police HQ Roof: Take the Shot (a.k.a. Take Two! ^_^;)

The frowning man beside Horai turned to his dog.

"Spare the Agent."

The Weimaraner suddenly collapsed on the ground, unconscious. In the confusing moments that followed, Raan and his stormtroopers would learn just how alone they were in this city.

"PANDORA contacted us soon after you fled." Horai's composure cracked a bit more, his adrenaline fueled by the rage he'd tempered the past few hours. "The men you sent into Hell's Gate are dead—down to the last cowering grunt. Your forces sent to the portal have been maimed and left to die, and the precious few troops downstairs are being abducted as we speak. All you have left are these two guards here."

"Make that one." his associate corrected.

Across from the roof in the Tokyo Opera Tower, a woman with the dog's eyes lined up the sniper rifle to her target: the stormtrooper to Raan's right. No one by the shuttle would hear the sharp click as the silenced bullet hurdled towards the trooper's head, but they would definitely notice what followed.

"Now none."

Perhaps they would turn their attention to the adjacent building, or perhaps they would try to protect Agent Raan. Either way, it would only take a moment for another bullet to fly though the air and meet the second trooper's skull.

If Raan turned back to the Director and his friend, he might get a glimpse of Horai's gloved fist—right before it slammed into his skull.

Mita Streets

Both targets that were shot at were killed. But the general, the one who had popped out of the tank, was very much noticeable as he died. As the last tank was taken down by the air support, the remaining units heeded Sin's advise and raised their hands in surrender.

Genosha Streets

The driver of the still active but damaged tank was forced to pop out of the tank, lacking other methods to handle....whatever the hell was trying, and more importantly, succeeding, to dig into the hull. He would raise his blaster and start trying to gun down anything on the hull.

Genosha Palace

A frown found its way to Vickets face as she looked disapprovingly at the king.

"You weren't supposed to hear that, I don't even know how you heard it from in here. I apologize for the general's rash behavior. Were it up to me, he would not be here. Perhaps if you were able to give me any information on who these rebels are that are defying us and trying to rip apart this alliance, I would have a much easier time getting the general to stand down."

The Institute Exterior

The fire from the sinking AT-ST would suddenly die off as the thing fell over and crashed into the ground. The fleeing boy would find himself unimpeded, as the Empire was now very occupied.

The weakened AT-ST apparently had not had the best construction, as the leg fell apart from the attack and fell over as well.

This left a single AT-ST. Seeing they were likely screwed, the driver made a call, as the other crew members of the downed AT-S Ts started fleeing for the shuttle off in the distance.

Ike Hospital Third Floor

Hei did not need to disable the elevator. With the place under attack, the troopers had no time to wait fo the slow, primitive lifts in the building, and so hey would quickly kick in the stairwell door and charge up the steps, heedless of the ambush waiting for them, as they assumed all hostiles were still on the lower levels.

Death Star

Mott shook his head at Havoc. "There's never a guarantee you're going to not kill the target using lethal settings. Blaster bolts are very powerful, even shooting someone in the leg miight kill them if you're unlucky, and Emperor save you if you end up having to explain to Vader why the rebel he wanted to interrogate is dead because you couldn't be bothered to use the stun setting."

He then turned to the range and motioned for an empty stand. "But enough talk. Let's see what you can do. Take it for a test fire, get a feel for it."

Havoc would find the range mostly identical to any she may have used before, with the only addition being a switch that could move the target anywhere from 10 feet away to 500 feet away.

Shuttle-Folkstone

"That was a joke, James." Lady said to Bond.

It was at that point the shuttle touched down.

"I'll stay here. Try to hurry up, ladies, I don't fancy being on this planet if they fire that laser."

Shaking her head, Lady got up and was the first to walk out as the ramp descended, looking for Sypha or Harry.

Institute-Interior

As they reached the ambush, the general received a call from the surface.

"What do you mean, you've all been destroyed? What happened!?"

He did not have time to question further as the bulk of the enemy force engaged. The main troops scattered, a couple dropping in the initial volley. One of the gorillas were engaged by a damaged Dark Trooper, who lifted a lightning gun and pulled the trigger. Against the other, the other Dark Trooper lifted an arm, firing a missile at the thing.

Hells Gate Roof

Events moved quickly on the roof. In reaction to the speech, Raan raised a hand to point at Horai.

"Dispicable rebel scum, kill hi-!"

The sniper shot took down the first man, killing him before Raan could finish. The second trooper indeed moved to defend his superior and drag him into the shuttle, but was too slow as he went down, dead. Raan started to turn to flee, looking back only to get punched in the face. Unused to direct combat as he was, this was more or less enough to knock him out.

Then the shuttle ramp started to slowly close as the engines started to turn on.

Bridge Alpha

Kyoko managed to get back onto her feet just in time to see a spray of red from the guy that knocked her off the car. Her eyes stayed on the trooper as he fell back dead before she turned around to try to figure out where the shot had come from.

<We’re done here. Make yourself scarce - better to avoid being mistaken by the military. Tell Tomoe-san and the others to regroup at the swingset.> She didn’t see where exactly Homura was, but one more look around at all the burning tanks and stormtroopers throwing their guns down in surrender was enough for Kyoko to heed her words and quickly make her way to a side alley, keeping her spear out to enforce the point towards any stormtrooper who might have had second thoughts.

Homura, being on the far side of the battle as the others, would need more time to join them - although her tampered Time Shield could still help cover the distance more quickly, it was no Time Stop. Plus, those hand-held laser blasters were nothing like the weapons she had laid eyes on except in science fiction manga. The background shouts of “Hands in the air!” as the Americans arrived on scene and the more pressing constraint of having to remain unseen by anyone of adult age meant that it would have to be at best a bonus objective, but Homura kept her eyes peeled for an opportunity to swipe a few of those laser blasters for herself - no telling in this world whether she could encounter a situation where energy-based weapons would be better than ballistic ones.

Mami, meanwhile, kept her gaze on the last Imperial casualty for a moment from her position in the office building. Him, the smoldering wreckage of the tank he had stood on, the field of white-clad troops around him, the approaching . She could hear only a few things in the wake of that last shot: the occasional wind winding through, the faint dying echoes of gunfire from the south, the American-accented but otherwise indistinct shouts emerging through the concrete ruins. It took Kyoko’s sudden telepathic announcement to the superhuman fighters on the ground to snap her back to the present: <Oi, guys. Missy Mysterious says to head for the small park a couple of blocks from Mami-san’s. The one with the green swingset - think you guys passed by it on the way here. You guys know how to get there?>

<I can lead the others there, Sakura-san.> Mami took one more look at the scene to make sure the military could handle the rest before turning away from the hole in the wall to the hallway, heading for Yukari and Bumblebee’s position via backalley.

As for the helpful Witches watching from above, Mio would have to make a decision quick. The magic signatures she had detected would start to retreat from the battlespace and towards the west via back-alleys almost as soon as the Americans sealed off the major roads into the area; the one farthest east (Homura) would skirt around to the south first to avoid visual detection on the ground, but it seemed to be able to move faster and would probably catch up to the others. On the other hand, Harris had told them before that there had also been a separate Imperial push for the other intact bridge across the river to the south. And even though the surviving Imperial stormtroopers had laid down their weapons, it was thanks to these mysterious forces of unknown affiliation - would the stormtroopers remain cooperative now that they appeared to be leaving?

Mitakihara

Dismissing her Great Sword, Ramlethal looked back at Sin, who had frozen like a deer in the headlights.

"Why did you do that?"

The Gear blinked.

"Huh?"

"I understand that it proved more efficient for us in the end, convincing the enemy to surrender, but why put yourself at risk to do it?"

Sin... didn't have a good answer to that. Not yet. The Valentine just stared him in the eye, half curious and half concerned. Sin could've sworn he almost saw a tear form in her eye. He stammered a bit, but then realized that neither of them had time to be talking about this. As the Americans swarmed their position, Ramlethal took Sin by the hand and roughly yanked him over to the nearest source of cover.

"Wo-woah!"

"Quiet."

Once they were out of sight, they scoped out Mami's location, then followed her as instructed.

And all the while Ramlethal's question echoed in Sin's mind. Not because he didn't know the answer, or even because she didn't know it, but because he realized just how much he had to teach her in the near future.

Folkestone Air Base - Runway

As the passengers of the shuttle exited onto Britannian soil, they would first be met by- well, they would first be met by a small guard of honour: three soldiers in brown uniforms and brodie helmets led by a young teenage girl.

"Welcome to Folkestone Air Base. Are you Lady? Sypha and the others are in the hangar and will be ready shortly."

And then they would be met by the sight of the Folkestone Air Base's airstrip, where those who were familiar with such matters might recognize WW 2-era RAF mechanics hard at work. Further up the airstrip lay the large hangar, which was positively bustling with activity.

Folkestone Air Base - Portal Beach

"Guns and explosives, is it?" the commander said with a laugh. "Well, your man can't really bring down the enemy nest without them, now can he? Give them here, and we'll have them brought over to where they're meeting up."

The soldiers lowered their weapons, and one stepped forward to take the suitcase.

"That aside, you sound not half familiar. You a Manc? Fancy a cupper before you're off?"

Mitakihara - Alpha Secured

Mio swept the area with her Magic Eye, then covered it with the eyepatch once she had confirmed that all enemy combatants had been neutralized. Now it was just a matter of handing this matter off to the Americans and keep moving to where they were needed next. Hopefully there would be time to speak with the magic-users that had been helping them out as well...

"Bishop, Miyafuji, regroup on me."

"Roger."

No sooner had she given that order, however, did she realize that the magic signatures of their mysterious allies were already leaving the area. Mio reached up to her eyepatch to do a proper scan, but it was already aching from the repeated strain of the fight. She had no choice but to let them go; she could not allow the situation here to get out of control.

Common Room - Junpei Iori and the Terrifying Power of 2D

"Eh...?" Junpei fought to remain cool as he felt himself flush at Saori's reply. Holy shit, way too cute! If moe existed in 3D, pretty sure this chick'd qualify...

"Ahem!" he cleared his throat quickly, spinning to look up at the slowly turning globe and hide the color that had risen in his cheeks, "S-Sure! So, uh... why don't we start with somethin' familiar? You've hearda Ikebukuro for sure, right? Well this version..."

The hatted teen continued on at length, relaxing somewhat as time went on and his confidence was bolstered, and he filled the tank girls in on everything SEES knew about the factions of Battleworld, making sure to note which groups were as new as the tank club themselves. He didn't include the more classified or sensitive pieces of info, though — after all, it would kinda suck if he was responsible for some hit squad or other going after what seemed like perfectly normal (and cute!) highschool girls.

"Ssssoooooo..." he concluded, clasping his hands and facing his audience squarely, "Any questions, class?"

Mitakihara, Toward Park — Comic Book Logic

Although she was glad that they were at last leaving the life-and-death battle behind, Yukari's nerves were nonetheless pretty jittery, so it was little wonder that she latched on to a single detail in a sea of info about a city she had no real context for. <It sounds like you all know that park, huh? What's so special about it? Is that where you all became magical girls, or formed your team, or whatever?>

"So, Bumblebee," she inquired aloud after a moment, "are you, like... a pacifist, or something? I mean, not that there's anything wrong with being non-violent, or anything! But you could've kicked butt out there, and you didn't do anything except hang around."

Common Room — Strangers from a Strange Land

"It is nice to meet all of you as well," Aigis responded, not the least bit perturbed by the unusual gripping power behind Starfire's handshake, though she did make a note of it in her memory. Having completed basic introduction protocols, she nodded in agreement at Raven's assessment. "Your caution upon meeting new individuals is rational, and highly advisable in the current environment of 'unknown unknowns'. However, your liking is reciprocated."

Pausing briefly, the gynoid swiveled to look between the assembled team. "I wish to make a query: I am unable to detect any similarities between your respective attires, and they do not match to any known patterns of clothing from the Earth I originated from. Is this manner of dress common to your home universe?"

Final Corridor

Asriel was beginning to notice Sev's strange speech pattern as well- such robotic and eloquent tones were hardly befitting a gruff fist fighter like him -but that suspicion was currently being washed under by a wave of nervous energy. "Well, what're we waiting for?! The commander lady's getting away, we have to go find her, now!" Asriel took off at a run for the far exit, heedless of his allies. Back the way they came, there was the hum of an opening elevator, followed by the clattering of weighty metal feet.

Sev- The Underground

Sev stared at Asriel moving out to where his extraction point location was last located on, this situation is becoming more troublesome by the minute. As he heard the boots clanking behind him, the controlled clone gave a small glare to the cat, before sprinting to follow the Prince, actually meaning to get to the shuttle before they guards and the captain can restrain him and capture him.

He must complete his mission.

Bond, of the James Variety - Folkestone Airstrip

Bond stepped out of the shuttlecraft behind lady, coming face to face with the young witch. Or, rather, she came up to his chest.

The surroundings were intimately familiar: it was the RAF, circa the Battle of Britain. Well, with some embellishment: they actually had a paved runway, for one, and a decent amount of anti-air emplacements. And, of course, he couldn't see any planes.

But apart from that, this felt like... home.

He nearly laughed at that. What was home to him? His apartment? His country? His universe? He spent increasingly large amounts of time outside of each.

He stuck a hand out to the young girl, offering a shake.

"Name's Bond. James Bond. I'm with Dresden and his people, he should be here by now."

Given that the last representative of this chunk was also a similarly attired girl, he had to assume this one was also combat personnel.

"You ever get a feeling of deja vu?"

The Surprisingly Mancunian Intern - Folkestone Beach

The young man mutely handed over the suitcase, trying to process what the commander had just said.

"Yeah. Tea. That'd be nice."

The confused look on the man's face only deepened as the words finally hit home.

"...you have a Manchester in your universe?"

Back Alley NW of Alpha -> To the park

"Er, nothing so dramatic, Takeba-san." The hint of sheepishness in Mami’s voice mimicked her face as she turned the corner into view of Yukari and Bumblebee. "It is only a park a short distance from my apartment - we’ve used it a couple times before as a meeting point when we went out on patrols to find Witches. We all made our wishes at different times." Mami looked over for a moment when Sin and Ramlethal arrived. "Shall we go? I’ll lead everyone there - hopefully Sakura-san and Akemi-san will as well soon."

Will wait for Meanken before posting for Alpha cleanup.

Mitakihara, En route to park

Mami earned her response immediately. Sin wasn't quite beaming, but he seemed glad to have gotten the job done.

"Yeah, let's go. Not much else to see here."

Mahora, Akihiko — Sir Seen-some-shit

Akihiko's face flattened into a thousand-yard stare of numb disbelief - he'd been wearing it far too often, lately - at each new item Kaede pulled out of her scarf, cellular excepted. "Uh, sure?"

"Is that a real...?" The bleach-haired senior pulled back a hand that had been about to poke the pigeon, sighing in defeat as he retrieved his phone from a pocket. "You know what, I'm not gonna ask, Ninja Girl. Why don't I just give you contact info for all of us, since I'm probably gonna be too busy to be the only contact? Got any specific people who'd be useful to contact in various situations - administration, security, whatever?"

Lisa, Common Room

Once there was a free seat, Lisa sat down next to Jeane and drunk some of the tea.

"I am Lisa," She introduced herself to the child. She figured the child was in here for her own safety as well. As a mother, she knew how to deal with a child, although Adrian was certainly not the typical child.

"What are you doing?" Lisa asked Jeane, curious about what the child was doing here.
