Kamina — Alliance Meeting

"So, that's the basic plan, huh?" The tanned man questioned aloud. The Wasp's explanation of the mission was simple enough for him to get the gist of it — they were gonna go in, grab as many prisoners as they could, then hightail it out of there. Tons of guards all over the place, so it obviously wasn't going to be a battle they could just win.

However...he wondered just how off-limits these docks were on entry...

"Now, it sounds to me like this is a ground mission, which, I've got no problems with, believe me—" He patted the blade attached to his belt in assurance. "—But, let's say an unregistered and untraceable ship just so happens to come up from underneath the docks, and starts unloading everything it's got on the Fed's forces while everybody else makes off with the prisoners..."

He flashed a confident grin. "What do you think of the odds of that working out?"

"Nice meeting you, commander. It's a bit odd to see two different units with specialized gear such as this in the same place..." he scanned his head up and down her armored frame. "Very archaic looking specialized gear. No matter, I'm sure that it's up to regulation." He nodded, and then turned to Link, a long finger outstretched at him. "As much as I appreciate your effort, Captain, I already oversaw the inspection this morning and we've had people guarding this site since then. Everything that's a threat to our operation is either coming from outside, or the prisoners themselves. I'd ask you to return to your post as soon as Commander Von Krone is done with her inspection."

He hiss-sighed, and gave a half-hearted salute. "I'm sure I have something more to inspect in the next twenty minutes, so I must cut this conversation short and continue my duties. Serve the Federation well." With that, he made a quick descent back down the stairs of the tower.

Alliance Meeting

"Hmph" Midna grumbled quietly, but decided against responding to the woman's retort. Though she recognized Wasp's worthiness as an organizer, the imp had trouble imagining her new allies as respectable partners. She wondered how the two bespectacled humans could be trusted, when they apparently lacked the sense to take off tinted glasses in the dark, and the female was, annoyingly enough, late. At least the reptilian seemed strong enough to have some value.

But in the meantime, Wasp was talking. The plan was simple enough, break a few criminals out of a heavily guarded Federation ship and convince 'em to fight for the cause, ignore the bastards in charge.

"If you can draw the troopers' attention, it should be easy enough to squeeze into the transport ship." Midna said, "I can try and get a head start releasing the fugitives while the rest of you force your way in, speed the whole business up."

The Docks

"Yes sir, I'll get on that." Link said, as he watched the Xenomorph make his way down the tower.

"Perhaps we can discuss the value of traditional equipment when this transfer's concluded, Commander." He moved over to his rifle, checking that it was aimed at the proper position. He was not particularly fond of this weapon, but he supposed this mission would be over soon enough, anyway.

Hilde-Docks

Hilde nodded at Link as the other man walked away. "I would very much like that. However, he does have a point, and I must get back to my own dutys. Until we meet again, Captain Link." With that, Hilde turned and continued her patrol, soon spotting Councilors Wayne and Peridot as she walked. She had heard the rumors of their presence from her own troop's mutterings, but she had not been sure of the truth of it until now. How odd that they would choose to attend something like this. Yes, these were highly dangerous prisoners, but that was why people like her were here. What possibly reason would they have to attend in person? Hilde shook off her thoughts and refocused on continuing her patrol as she slowly passed, pretending not to notice them."

The Docks

Seeing both Council members Bruce Wayne and Periot motioning in her direction, Shantae started to become nervous. Having not met those Council members before, she was looking to not embarrass herself should they ask her to do anything, which seemed to be what would be happening as they started a conversation with Lord Ba'al. She cleared her throat, put on her Stormtrooper helmet, struggling quite a bit with her long ponytail and stood firm while taking her position in her security tower.

Rick's Bar

"Whatever..." Risky said as Rick handed over another bottle. She opened the bottle and started drinking immediately, ignoring Rick's demand for pay and the blood streaming from the hand she crushed the bottle in. She then took a glance at Rick and saw him reaching for something under the bar. She sighed at the bartender, as the Tinkerbats crowded around their leader looking at her bloody hand.

"Same things gonna happen if you're reaching for something. Come on, we all want to be friends here..." she said as she took another sip. "Especially seeing that my hand is bleeding now..." she added as she saw her hand. She motioned to one of the Tinkerbats to give her something to stop the bleeding. "And I'm saving my energy to get my crew back..." she added with another sip.

The Docks

"Lord Ba'al, may I remind you this is not a public execution?" Wayne replied. "Justice is being enacted upon these prisoners, yes, but it is not the swift and immediate justice of an axe aimed at their necks, but rather the hopeful rehabilitation period that is prison. This is merely a transfer, and I decided to witness it whilst waiting for Prince Kristoff's arrival. Nothing different here."

The looming shadow of the prisoner ship caused all Stormtroopers in the area to visibly tense up, fingers practically hovering over the triggers as a ramp slid out of the bottom of the ship. Lead by a squad of Stormtroopers, the prisoners were led out, all of them shackled together by their hands and feet in case anyone tried to do anything funny.

"There you are!" Peridot exclaimed, brushing the holographic computer aside as she walked over to P'li's side, fingers passing over her arm. "You haven't harmed her, have you?!" She hissed at the warden, who shook his head, muttering something along the lines of 'fit as a fiddle'. "Unshackle her- and bring up my personal transport!" The rock woman yelled, as the Warden got to work on separating P'li from the rest of the other prisoners.

"Do you see your enemy, Lord Ba'al?" He asked, pointing at the prisoners, who ranged from a slightly short blonde teenager (who has suspiciously grinning in Hilde's general direction) to an energy being trapped inside a gelatinous body, its own personal prison. "We could give it to you, as a sign of respect between our nations."

The Meeting

"I think if you can get out of there before backup comes in, you've got yourself a chance at making quite a distraction." Wasp told Kamina, before nodding to Midna. "I hadn't considered an additional distraction, so yes, Mr... Shirtless... you can go ahead with your plan."

A small alarm could be heard in the background of the transmission. "Just got a sign: prisoner ship just landed. Means we've got about twenty five minutes before the prisoners are sent on their way. Federation likes to tag all of the prisoners, make sure their database information is updated... thank the Maker for bureaucracy."

Sveta leaned against a nearby wall, arms folded loosely. She had been picked as a bodyguard for the two Council members as they went to oversee a prisoner transfer. Why her, she had no idea, especially when there were so many other beastmen and stormtroopers more qualified than her. Maybe it's because they know I'm conflicted in my loyalty, and they want to keep an eye on me? Hmm. Maybe-

Sveta's thoughts were interrupted by the arrival of the prison transport. She immediately began scanning the inside of the ship for potential threats and signs of things gone wrong. Hmm. Nothing looks out of the ordinary, except for that one woman Peridot wants for her research. She shook her head in sympathy before returning to her surveillance. That one blond kid looks pretty suspicious. I'll keep an eye on him in case he tries anything.

Rick's Bar

While waiting for his drink Kano could not help but be somewhat amused by his current company. One was a beaked creature who Kano could not place the name of and was seemingly looking for a lawyer, one is left wondering would kind of legal difficulties one is having to look for a lawyer in a bar, or perhaps he got the meaning for bar mixed up.

The other was a purple skinned women who had just smashed a glass pointlessly from what he could see...what a waste. The mention of her saving her energy to get her crew back interested Kano, perhaps a possible business opportunity. "Parden me for prying into something that is none of my buisness. But the mention of getting your crew back has caught my attention" Swiveling his chair to face Risky Kano began to scratch his beard and pulled a partial grin "Perhaps you wouldn't mind sharing your tale?"

With everything in good condition, all men in their places and all guns at the ready, the prison ship arrived at just the time the Colonel got into position. As the ship's landing gear made contact with the ground, he gave out a loud yell of "AAAATEEEN-HUT!" With the precision he expected, the troopers were locked in place and at the ready.

The gantry opened, and the slow procession started to move. He gave a brief look towards his men. He could easily tell the more senior staff from their juniors not only by their minute shifts in position, but by the pheremones they gave off. Since this was a unique ability of his and most species wouldn't notice the difference, he rarely gave someone flak for merely smelling scared.

He was a bit alarmed at Peridot hastily walking up to one of the prisoners, and almost raised a hand to stop her from getting too close. He quickly quashed that notion, because he knew better than to bother with her, especially with how cross she looked right now. As the line continued away from the ship and into their positions, he formed up and allowed his men to start the cataloging process.

"Execution? Of course not. Nothing could be further from my mind."

No lie, I'd sooner shake their hands...

Still, he had no interest in taking the perpetrator into his custody. It was better to show how cooperative the Empire could be.

"A magnanimous gesture Mister Wayne, but that shall not be necessary. We are pleased to leave this matter to the Federation's discretion."

Ba'al watched the prisoners disembark with idle curiosity, silently noting Peridot's reaction to one of them.

Rick's Bar

Having ignored the Hork-Bajir's question for the moment, the bartender whipped up his gun while Kano talked and leveled it straight at the collarbone of the violet scofflaw, the laser-guided sight making his target obvious. It was equally clear from the odd bulkiness of the weapon that what Risky was up against was a highly-modified rifle, though modded in exactly what way was difficult to say.

"She can spin her tale in Davy Jones' locker s'far as I'm concerned!" Rick spat, his carefully manufactured accent slipping, "Nobody threatens me in me own bar, wench, and I've met no friend who skipped on her payment! You. Owe. Me. Twenty!"

"Aw, don't mind Rick, he's totally harmless!" a female voice announced loudly next to Dak, absurdly upbeat given the current locale and atmosphere.

"Grrrrrrr..." The proprietor's eyes didn't wander from his target, but he swore he could practically hear his own teeth cracking as they began to grind against his will. He wouldn't dare to pivot and give that comment the benefit of being answered, but he knew, just knew, that if he turned around at that moment she would be staring at him with that stupid smile on her face. That unbelievably annoying customer who always hung around his establishment of otherwise ill-repute and said things about not judging books by their covers and other assorted happy, compassionate but infectious claptrap, all while she dared to keep a straight face and completely ruin his own hard-earned reputation as a merciless, tough-as-steel bar owner, that little-

"Hi, I'm Hajime! Nice to meet you~!" The young woman in question offered a fearless hand to the giant alien reptilian beside her for a shake. Although it was unlikely to be something Dak himself would recognize, she was wearing what was probably a local school uniform, clash though it did with the seedy decor. "That was Hammurabi, right? You looking to take an eye for an eye or somethin', Mister? Sounds pretty serious!"

Rick's Bar, Alliance Meeting

Neo had been waiting patiently, eating his noodles while the Wasp gave the mission briefing. To him, this was a simple mission of freeing minds. His fellow operatives on the mission certainly seemed like an...interesting group, to say the least. He supposed he'd get used to them in time, just like he'd gotten used to the idea that it wasn't 1999 and there was intelligent life outside Zion. This was just him following the white rabbit down yet another hole.

"I'll cover her while she's freeing the prisoners," he finally said, gesturing towards Midna. "In my experience, going solo is an easy way to get surprised, and I'm not a fan of surprises on missions."

Kamina — Meeting

"Heeeeyyy! Come on now. I didn't say it for nothing! The name's Kamina. Or, the Mighty Kamina, if you prefer." In spite of being referred to as 'Mr. Shirtless', the orange-shaded man still gave off a confident grin.

"In any case, don't worry. You can leave that 'distraction' business up to me. Just make sure somebody gives me a sign when you guys get enough people free." The young man pointed his thumb to his bare chest in pride, or maybe arrogance. No matter what, he said his words with full certainty.

Then that alarm went off. Apparently they only had 25 more minutes.

"So, anything else? Or should we get goin'?"

Rick's Bar

When Rick pulled out his rifle and aimed at Risky, the Tinkerbats suddenly hopped on the bar top and scurried right in front of Risky, one of which dismounted the scimitar on the bar top and pointed towards the hostile bartender. Risky took a sip and snapped her fingers, which immediately grabbed the attention of the Tinkerbats. She then sighed and pulled out twenty as the Tinkerbats looked at their leader.

"It's cool, boys. Stand down..." she said as they moved away from the bar top. Risky then handed the money over to Rick. "And by the way Rick, pointing a gun at your customers does not make for good business. Just laying that out there..." Risky added with another sip. She then turned over to Kano, whom just appeared next to her as Rick demanded his payment.

"I'm sorry, and you want me to tell you about my crew? First off, let's introduce ourselves..." Risky said over to Kano.

Courtesy of his genes, Pet Shop remained silent in face of the situation.

He recognized these two. They were big shots in the Federation, presumably from the very top of the food chain. Boulder-thing's interest in that helmeted girl was something curious.

Locked in a special anti-gravity cage that just sorta floated between the prisoners, chained together, Pet Shop glanced at the green, impulsive humanoid again. This thing... it could possibly be what he needed. Some distraction to his plans of breaking free. He was almost certain someone will show up to crash Federation's party, but would they take him with them? After all, he was just a bird...

For now, Pet Shop waited. Horus could be manifested at moment's notice, but he needed someone to focus Stormtroopers' eyes on them so he could actually not get shot the very instant he tried...

The first prisoner to act out is usually the most brutish looking one, Ricco had figured out in his duties as a prison official. Today, the problem lied with a large green humanoid that the itinerary listed as an "Ork". Certainly looked threatening enough.

Normally he wouldn't worry too much about them acting up, as they would never be able to break out of these shackles with strength alone, but considering who the Ork was threatening made Ricco feel some discipline was in order.

He took out a device which was linked to the electric collars the inmates wore, and started clicking at it hurriedly. He looks sturdy enough, he thought, better make it obvious to whatever brain he has there. He selected the Ork's collar and one of the higher options, enough to knock out a human, but he doubted it would affect this monster that badly. He looked at the green being's face and gave a quick shout of "Mind your place, Prisoner!"

Sveta perked up when she heard a guttural exclamation from the prisoner ship. Looking at it, the yelling appeared to have come from a massive, green-skinned, brutish-looking humanoid. What she could understand through the incredibly thick accent was that the prisoner Peridot was leading away was his... property, somehow. Hm. Interesting. Sveta returned to scanning the area, though she was ready to leap into action at any moment should the prisoner break free.

Rick's Bar

Cautiously, as though it was some kind of poisonous flower, Dak took Hajime's outstretched hand very gently. Then, after a moment of hesitation note  he cautiously closed his own massive, callused hand around the little human's own appendage, and then, with infinite care, shook it slowly.

"That is the correct human greeting, correct?" he asked after he unclasped his hand and dropped it to his side. "And you introduce yourself as well. My name is Dak Hamee. Call me an ambassador, of a sorts." When the girl inquired as to whether or not he was quoting Hammurabi, he smiled- not a fake human smile, but a Hork-Bajir smile: more of a twinkle of the eyes and an imperceptible motion of his beak than anything else.

"You speak the truth," he said, laughing his strange rasping laugh. "I am searching for... legal assistance, you might say. I figured that studying the life of your ancient law-givers may provide some perspective on your species' approach to law." When she mentioned taking an eye for an eye, Dak blinked. "That legal practice is still in effect, is it not?" He discreetly pointed across the bar, to where a grizzled old spacer, wearing an eyepatch, was slumped over a greasy mug of spice beer.

"Although I cannot imagine why a human would willingly give up an eye... or take someone else's eye, for that matter," he confessed. "Is your species' visual acuity not affected by such a loss?"

Alliance Meeting

"Since we have a strategy in mind already, and appear to be on a time crunch, I suggest we head out sooner rather than later. I can carry up to around three of you to the docks, depending on individual weight." Ridley spoke up again. He was dying to escape this cramped space and spread his wings. He was also eager to kill the stormtroopers (and the prisoners in a worst case scenario, though he would never admit this potentiality to his Alliance comrades) guarding the targets. As far as he knew his bloodlust wasn't genetic, but even if he could change his ways, he wouldn't. Wrath was his favorite vice.

"And I should mention, I have four elite soldiers waiting in the wings to assist us. They'll be the Zebesians, silver carapaces, energy-conducting nanoblade appendages. Try not to blast them. On purpose, anyway."

The Docks

"Be quiet!" Peridot orders as the Warden manages to detach P'li from the chain line- quickly connecting the other two prisoners so as not to give them a chance to escape. "You... are you the one who took my creation away?! Why do other people have to keep messing with my stuff?!" As the shock collar activated, Peridot glared at Ricco. "You! Do your job and shut this ork up!"

Bruce nodded at Ba'al, choosing to remain in his place, pulling out a simple cancer stick, lightning up and placing it on his lips. At that moment, Pet Shop would feel the stench of his Master once more, clearly coming from Wayne himself. And the politician sent the look back to the prisoner, a smile hidden underneath his cigar. "Soldier," Bruce asked the nearby Sveta. "Pull up the itinerary. Why is that bird in chains?"

The Meeting

"I don't exactly have time for names." Wasp spat back. "We've got two landspeeders on the ground. Make sure to get an alternate route- the main streets are filled with people wanting to see the parade." The alarm rung again, prompting another worried look from Wasp. "I gotta go. Good luck- and long live the Alliance." With that lukewarm farewell, the Wasp's hologram disappeared.

Kamina — Meeting

Kamina's smile turned somewhat sheepish at The Wasp's rebuttal. Did he piss off the lady in charge already?

Then the alarm went off again, and the masked hologram bid them a short farewell.

"...'Hope I didn't just get on her bad side..." The young man mumbled lightly, then pushed his sunglasses a little further up his nose.

Heading for the door, he took one last look back at his new comrades. They might not have gotten to talk much, but he was already confident in their chances.

"Alright! For the new guys here —myself included— Let's give her a reason to remember our names." His grin reattained it's former level of pride.

He then turned around, saying one more thing before finally making his leave. "I'll cover for everybody with everything I got. You guys can depend on 'Team Gurren' to be a big pain in the Federation's ass!"

Regardless of whether or not his words helped boost anyone else's confidence, Kamina would then exit the secret room without another thought.

Rick's Bar

The blue-haired man exited the hidden back room with a little discretion, trying his best not to attract attention to where he'd come from. On his way out, he'd take a look at the number of new patrons that have seemingly now gathered in the bar. Albeit, without turning his head towards them, giving only minor cursory glances. Although some stood out, they didn't look so much as spies as they did possible allies. Did they maybe not get the memo?

He supposed it didn't matter. Time was ticking, and considering that they probably had less than 25 minutes to get started, the fighter pilot would have to make haste. Of course, he didn't have his ship locked up too far away from here, so no matter what, he knew he'd be on time.

He privately grabbed hold of something in his pocket, just to make sure it was still there...

Hilde-Docks

Hilde returned to her assembled men as she finished her patrol and the ship landed. She watched with a sharp eye as one of the councilors approached a prisoner. Why, she had no idea, but her safety was paramount, and so Hilde approached slowly, watching for any threats. As she did so, a green skinned prisoner started yelling. Hilde would have done something, but another had beaten her to it, and so she left the prisoner to him as she stood nearby.

The stare of the blonde man had, of course, not gone unnoticed by her. But she was not about to let him try to get inside her head like that, and so she ignored him, although her approaching had now unwittingly put her in easy yelling range of him.

Midna grinned "Works for me, noodle man, so long as you can keep up." Though she didn't know anything about Neo's abilities, Midna supposed he could, in the very least, serve as another distraction from the prisoners.

Ridley, on the other hand, had an obvious benefit. "Do you think you could drop the human and me in the middle of the frenzy once Kamina starts shooting? I want to make the most of the chaos."

After Kamina stepped out the door, Midna followed suit, beckoning for Neo and Ridley to come along to. As she passed by the peculiar crowd at the bar, Midna cracked her knuckles. Whether on the back of an alien or in a floating car, she'd soon be on her way to the docks.

The Docks

Now fully focused on the task at hand, Link looked through his scope, following the prisoners' path as they were marched out of the transport ship. He was surprised to see the councilwoman confront the warden, but he supposed it explained her presence there. The prisoner was someone of interest to the council, it seemed.

A green prisoner began to wrestle with his bindings, and Link quickly moved his aim to the ork's head. Luckily for everyone, it seemed the criminal had nothing but showmanship, and his efforts were quickly dealt with by a shock from Ricco. It was brutal, but Link guessed it was necessary.
