I find the suggestion harder to read. Which, for an image relying on the text, is fairly important.

OP has a lot more distracting elements aside from the pun; I think the current is better.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"

The current picture was selected in a previous 2011 thread
. xkcd's is not bad, but I think a picture that doesn't rely only on dialogue would work better.
There shouldn't be a shortage of potential pictures with visible reactions instead of simply text. I'll start by suggesting this one from Splatoon.
