I'm not sure what you think is the problem here. The current votes are unrelated to the rename discussion anyway. We can have a rename discussion in any case, just after we determine what this trope means.

Yes, but not everyone who votes on the crowner reads the TRS thread involved (of course, there is no link to the thread in the crowner anyway). It wouldn't be such a problem if the number of voters will end up being much higher than the initial number before the clarifying option was added, but with the usual trends... Well, I don't need to say it, right?
