Nero did direct him to the area where it was but he couldn't get in plus Mars busted in.
Hmmh considering the implications that Nero is something important narrative-wise it makes sense more or less.
I mean you are supposed to find rare shit in dungeons so just chalk it up to harmless protagonist luck.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I found the random introduction and immediate mastering of ki to be just as bullshit.
Nero is the the bird right? I keep forgetting he exists.

That was apparently foreshadowed too. I thought it was just good hearing on my first read.
Oh, that reminds me: how do you feel about Asta basically getting demonic powers now, and how that's still apparently separate from magic?

Goddamn it I can barely remember shit in this manga.
Yes Nero is the bird that spontaneously appears from time to time.
Well its a logical conclusion to his abilities & symbolism as a demon. That Anti-Magic has to come from somewhere.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Hmm.
Well, it's the mother of all cop-outs, for one.
It's to preserve the central mechanic of Asta not having magic but still wanting him to have magic.

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"I enjoy the fact more that he conquered the entity quite easily and there was no possession nonsense as well as him figuring out how to activate it.
At the very least I like how it establishes that him having no magic is cause of a legitimate disability & he only has the grimoire due to pure luck.
Though considering this is shonen & BC likes to follow all the tropes beat for beat there will most likely be a reveal that Asta having no magic is due to some higher destiny then him just being naturally crippled.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I think they nipped that in the bud when they had the Witch Queen go: "I thought you were related to this super special person, but you're just a random freak accident. You are nothing special, and that is exactly what makes you special."
I have to say after he found another sword, I just figured his thing would be getting a bunch of different anti-magic weapons like other people get spells, but it seems like it really is just the two. Also, he hasn't really done as much with the magic-absorbing sword as he could, which is a shame.

I am suddenly reminded of Steven Universe were Amethyst says all the times she's had her disability called special or that it makes her special is bullshit cause its still a disability in the end & a genuine encumbrance to her life.
Though yeah the little sword has been wasted. He doesn't even use its special attacked which makes it perfect for teamwork & friendship attacks since he outright needs other peoples magic to fire a sword slash.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The viz version doesn't mention a singular person instead says "Them" or "Their"
Still amuses me both Asta and Yuno have Gender-Blender Name. Because I partly like to imagine Robot Yuno having jealous fits that rival Juno/Hera herself.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Okay, what is even point of this detour? Wasn't there an attack on enemy headquarters going on?
Introducing Henry I guess. And show-off the background Black Bulls.
The fight wasn't bad, but there really wasn't any tension, and the focus characters were clumsily handled.
So anyone else read this article on Crunchyroll? I mean this article is pretty funny what with calling BC the best shonen adaptation for doing stuff every anime has done but wow the shilling is strong here.
Its gotten a lot of track though, look at that comment section.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."That article is pretty bad. I think that Black Clover's manga is fast-paced enough that you could greatly expand it with out slowing it down that much, but Pierrot has been doing it so poorly. That title also comes off as a bit clickbaity.
Well, the author does make a few valid points − the anime indeed gives some welcome development on Magna and the mayor, and that pre-dungeon mini-arc with Yuno's squad wasn't a bad idea per se. It's just that the anime nullifies those good points with a lot of annoying flaws and pads out things that most definitely did not need to be.
I've looked pretty hard for the native advertisement disclaimer, because wow, that's a lot of shilling.
I like that the comment section will have none of it.
Except for that one guy who's responded to nearly every comment to brag about how much better Black Clover is than My Hero Academia or Hunter x Hunter.
Seriously that entire comment section almost unanimously agrees this article is just crap but there's this one guy obsessively defending this show & treating it like its God's gift to man.
That is so amazing that no matter how bland or crap a show is (BC is bland) there is always that one fan who loves it to death & will treat any criticism of it as if like their families been shot. Contrarian's am I right?

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."That guy is the highlight of the article.
How come I can't see the comments? =[ I wanna see those comments.
How did he find that sword again?
