The Teen Titans have had many lineups and dozens of popular characters over the years. Cherry picking a couple obscure ones doesn't change that.
Another issue here could possibly be that we're starting to get Running the Asylum. For a generation of people this lineup was the Teen Titans, and much like how Superfriends influenced how people viewed superheroes in general and the ones in the show specifically for decades, there's probably going to have to be an effort made to give the other characters more exposure.
I always liked how Young Justice (which was basically a Teen Titans show despite the name) made an effort not only to pick a different lineup from the one people have already did, but branch out with a lot of different characters in its second season - even if most of them didn't get the chance for development.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Oh, finally works for me on different computer. *squints eyes* Look like Titans from cartoon, only with different Robin and with non-white guy in blackish, bluish, red-eyed, armor with gun-hands instead of non-white guy in blackish, bluish, red-eyed, armor with gun-hands.
That's Blue Beetle. He is way different then Cyborg.....
But yeah it looks like Starfire and Raven didn't change too much. Beast Boy might be calling himself Changeling at this point judging by the costume change

The Teen Titans most people know are the ones from the TV show, however. There have been many line-ups through the years but the TV show was the one most people know of, and in fact many of the more modern line-ups try to make sure to include at least a few of those characters as well.
Hence my referring to it as a "popularity lineup," yes.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. My only hope is that these versions overshadow the one terrible modern day adaption.
All and all as someone who hasn't had blue beetle shoved in their face because I don't expose myself to as much dc comics I am a bit more interested then some people.
As long as Blue Beetle is more like Batman The Brave And The Bold and less like Young Justice all will be good on my end. Relative to BB anyway.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!I'm only asking for Damian not to be The Bestest and Most Badass Little Punk Ever Who Can Like Punk Anyone again.
The Titans voice actors join a cast comprised of DC animated film vets; the Titans team is rounded out by Shemar Moore (Cyborg), Sean Maher (Nightwing) and Stuart Allan (Robin). The Justice Leaguers in the film are Jason O’Mara (Batman), Jerry O’Connell (Superman), Rosario Dawson (Wonder Woman) and Christopher Gorham (Flash).
James Tucker serves as supervising producer for "Justice League vs. Teen Titans," which is directed by Sam Liu. Alan Burnett and Bryan Q. Miller wrote the screenplay, which TV Insider notes is not based on a specific comic book story. The film will find Robin sent to join the Titans following a failure on a Justice League mission. The Titans will then have to band together to face a new threat posed by Trigon.
I like that Starfire is taller than Nightwing, but her head looks oddly small to me.
Now that cast is something completely different, innit?
And here's something else that's interesting. Trigon is The Punisher.
The film will find Robin sent to join the Titans following a failure on a Justice League mission
I hope this isn't Saint Damian making things right after the Titans can't find their own butts without him, but who am I fooling...?
Nothing about that indicates he's there to save or lead the Titans I'm not sure where you're getting that.
Okay so this is The Terror of Trigon with Damien and Blue Beetle. I'm okay with that.
The low res sneak peek.

That video is an accurate simulation of what it's like to watch something in HD on a dial-up modem.
Is anyone else getting annoyed by the constant ad for Batman: Bad Blood?
I'm kinda getting invested in this thing, but the stupid breaks are killing that investment.
>_<
(We should get a little icon thingie for a frustrated expression.)
So, annoying plugs for the newest animated Batman movie aside, how's everyone taking the first look?
From what I have seen of it until I stopped watching it because of the aforementioned annoying plugs and the fact that I've more important stuff to attend to, one of the core aspects of the movie will be Damien and Raven's relationships with their dads and how they want to deal with it (Damien wanting to be more like his dad (Batman) and Raven wanting to be less like her's (Trigon).).
From that, it sort of reminds me of how Robin and Raven from the first Teen Titans series sort of had those moments together that wasn't romantic, but more "crime-solving partner-y" if that makes sense.
Plus, this is probably the first time we're seeing Raven have a secret identity thing going in animation form, since neither Teen Titans shows bothered with the whole "having a secret identity" part of being a superhero.
I'll give this a chance.
The mention of Cyborg feeling closer to the Titans because he's able to relate more to them than the adults in the Justice League was an interesting premise, which gives him a logical connection to the team since he's now no longer a member.
Also, I love that Starfire is the leader.
Raven is even shorter then Beast Boy and saw him nekkid. Aleeady shipping it.
From what they are saying here Cyborg was never a member of the Teen Titans in this universe. But he is the youngest member of the Justice League and he identifies more with the Teen Titans here as unlike the rest of the Justice League (accept for Flash possibly) he isn't all business and no fun.
I found the Starfire being the team leader thing here very interesting. I am honestly very curious on how that's going to go as I am so used to seeing one of the Robins as the leader. She certainly seems to be much more levelheaded in this universe, she still is very friendly and endearing though.
Starfire being a leader fits very well once you remember she's supposed to be a princess from a warrior race.
TBH, the cartoon is actually composed of the most iconic roster from the comics.◊ The only members missing were Wondergirl and Kid Flash.

Well it makes sense that they'd use those characters since they are basically the Face Of The Band for the Teen Titans, sans Blue Beetle and Damian.
I don't know who people were expecting. They weren't about to do a Teen Titans movie anchored by Hawk & Dove and Argent.
