They used Cinderella THREE to discuss Fairy Tales??? I'm a bit bewildered by that statement.
And, ironically, yes, the FINAL Direct-To-Video Disney Sequel with the most sequel of all bad sequel plots; 'The Wicked Stepmother steals Fairy Godmother's Wand and undoes Cinderella's Happily Ever After and, escentially, the entire first film. Cinderella has to go after her and get the wand back to fix everything'.
It sound like the stupidest thing ever and... They actaully had the characters portraying more complicated emotions and the villains are far more competent. Cinderella fights so many times to get her future back and she very nearly gives up on it all. Prince Charming is smart enough to figure out what's going on and goes after her. Anastasia shows a lot of depth in her guilt and complex family life. And the Stepmother is just as vile and awful awefully twisted as ever.
Its actually kind of good.... As weird as that is to say because everything in my body wants to laugh at that.
it was a pretty fun sequel. It gave the characters some personality, it had some nice music (all these years later, I still love " so I'll trust my heart/what else can I do?/I can't live in dreams/ If my dreams are to come true") it explored the "one sister is much nicer than the others"
Got a degree in Emotional trauma via fictional characters aka creative writing. hosting S'mores party in Hell for fellow (evil) writers
Yeah, I've heard Cinderella 3 was actually kinda good? Never seen it though.
