I feel like 7's facial features appear to be closer to Luna, so she must be Diana. She's also the only one (as far as we know) who has her hair color.
N°2 is a token normal guy to you ? The dude looks downright-psychotic. Too normal. Either that or he's a very weird-looking Junpei (it's possible, Uchikoshi said that Jumpy was going to be a participant at the Mars test site).
To me N°6 is probably someone we've never met before. Though it could very well be Nona.
You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door. There is a small mailbox here.5 and 8 have been added. That just leaves 4...
It seems like we have a group considerably closer together in age this time around.
Could 5 be an older Junpei?

Oh God! Natural light!5 is Junpei, 8 is Nona or Ennea, I guess.
Also, someone asked Uchikoshi on Twitter who were his favorite ZTD-exclusive character and his answer was "Gab".
4 is obviously Clover, going for the hat trick.
3 is Phi and 9 is Sigma, they have to be. I don't know if 5 is Junpei, but I wouldn't be against it being so. 4 could be Clover, if for no other reason than completing her journey through hellish nightmares.
It would be nice to see Clover going through her 4th Nonary Game, but I think she is frozen right now.

Carlos (voiced by Tomokazu Sugita)
Akane (voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro)
Junpei (voiced by Tatsuhisa Suzuki)
Q (voiced by Aki Toyosaki)
Eric (voiced by Akira Ishida)
Mira (voiced by Maaya Sakamoto)
Diana (voiced by Mamiko Noto)
Phi (voiced by Chiaki Omigawa)
Sigma (voiced by Daisuke Ono)
We've got names, faces, and voice actors now. Which... aren't really surprising at all since half the cast is from at least one previous game.

Judging by their voices, we can guess Carlos is 1 and Eric is 2.
I didn't even think about Akane being in the game.
Also, according an interview, the character designs and title are being changed (it's the first time "Zero Escape" is being used for the Japanese title) in order to intentionally distance itself from the previous entries in the series. Which I assume was rather unpopular in Japan. The new artist was chosen because their art isn't too "anime" for Western sensibilities while still being distinctly Japanese-style.
So basically the whole game is being made for the Western fans of the series.
Well, I feel vindicated now.

Seems the playable characters will be Carlos, Diana, and Q.
So, we'll be the awkward third wheel in every group (the character not from 999, the only non-Esper from VLR, and the weird kid with a mask tagging along with the dating couple).

A dog is your only form of communication?
Akane and Junpei?
Okay, guessing that they aren't the ones we're thinking of.
I have a message from another time...Everything seems to suggest that they are the Akane and Junpei that we know... ssssssomehow. We, of course, have no idea how that would make any damn sense with Junpei seeming to honestly have no idea who Sigma and [especially] Phi are in VLR, but setting up those kinds of questions is kinda how this series rolls. (Then again, the other way this series rolls is setting expectations and then knocking them down with a reveal that was it was really something entirely different, so, who knows, yeah?)
Wait, the dog is listed under mastermind?
Like five steps ahead of you, pal.
well, I mean, as the end of VLR tells us, Sigma is way older than he is in ZTD. If Junpei did know him, he likely wouldn't recognize this much older man unless he'd met Sigma in the intervening time in order to get an idea of what an older Sigma looks like. Kind of like how none of us recognized Tenmyouji as Junpei on sight. (Especially with Alice and Clover confusing our perception of time) On the other hand, Phi looks exactly the same. If I saw someone who looked just like someone I knew decades ago, my first thought wouldn't be "oh, it's the same person and they haven't aged physically."
My biggest issue is the fact that Junpei apparently spent the decades between 999 and VLR looking for Akane and not finding her before the pitiable reunion they have in VLR. But he's in the same building with her in this one? I am doubtful.

I have a message from another time...Tenmyouji definitely knew that things were suspicious in VLR (Luna and Clover would have also made it obvious to him), but kept quiet about it since he didn't trust anyone there. The whole thing was a set-up from the very beginning, from his perspective.
As for ZTD, we knew Junpei would be there since that was explicitly part of his backstory. Akane is more of a surprise, of course.
I think Number 7 is more Akane-ish and Number 6 is Diana.
