Well, someone started the page and I cleaned it up, so we might as well have the thread

K: Return of Kings is probably the worst sequel name they could have possibly picked.

Well, time to start drafting that season preview.

I'm really hyped for Everything Becomes F: The Perfect Insider, even if I know it has a rather unpromising staff.

OPM and Noragami S2 look fun, and Seraph is my kind of stupid.

The impression I get from my Twitter feed is that Shinoa is the shining light of Seraph.

What interests me the most is the title— "revolutio" and "fantasy" suggest there'll be some deeper themes

Eh, I recall it being better than what you usually get when you throw modern fantasy, magic high school, and multiple fetish girls into a blender and paste it between the pages of a light novel.

I still want another Build Fighters. With the original director back, preferably- that was the only position that got changed in Try, and it really showed.

I heard that it will be written by Mari Okada? If so, I fear "Surpassing Gundam" is no longer a joke given the franchise's trajectory.

Oh yeah, I didn't get around to linking the English report, did I? But, yes, Okada is writing. I have no idea what your second sentence is about

A statement by one of the producers of Aldnoah Zero mentioned wanting to "Surpass Gundam". It drew a fair amount of criticism and derision in the English-speaking community, mostly due to the suggestion that a brand-new mecha show would be better than something as popular and well-regarded as Gundam.

Given that the past few Gundam shows haven't been as well received as their predecessors, and that Mari Okada doesn't have a particularly good track record when it comes to mecha, the new Gundam series doesn't have an enormous amount of promise.

AGE was certainly a miss-step, but I don't think G-Reco was ever intended to be a success. Between the way Sunrise handled it and the fact that Tekketsu must have been in production for some of the same time, I think G-Reco's main purpose was to humour Tomino

"Mecha" isn't a genre in itself. Okada has worked on a supernatural thriller and a couple pieces of Kawamori insanity that included mecha, but this doesn't really have much to do with how Tekketsu will turn out, as it's a war story

She doesn't have any track record at all when it comes to war stories, so I'm not sure how that's reason for optimism.
