I know he has said a few things without prefacing it with his name but I can't remember what and in which episodes right off of the top of my head.
...he's said quite a few sentences that don't begin with his name...but most still have it in there.
"Respect, keep real."

YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Why does Grizz still insist on addressing Nom Nom with a pleasant demeanor whenever they cross paths, even when it's been proven time and again that the little bastard does NOT deserve the fame and respect he receives?
When you wish upon a side of beef, soon will come an end to all your griefBecause like good guys before him, he is a pure optimist who looks for the good in everyone. I like that in some cases, but I think it can be a bit of an annoying trait when you face a total dick.
"We be we baby!"Yeah. That is something I wanted to do in a story character of mine, but not to that extent; he knows when to deal with someone who's a constant douchebag.
Well, at least Nom Nom finally got some deserved comeuppance for once.
When you wish upon a side of beef, soon will come an end to all your griefI thought he been got that.
"We be we baby!"Hmmm?
They need to slow down the "cub flashback" episods a bit.
BTW, is it me, or does "Fresh bears! Get them while they're hot!" sound unintentionally wrong?
Yeah - I prefer "BEARS WIN!!!", thank you very much.
New Web Browser, same old Shokew.I was referring to the beginning of the second flashback episode, when they're in the middle of the desert in that box.
Okay,I just saw "Yuri and the bear." This is absolutely a must see episode. We actually get to see where Ice Bear comes from. And other stuff that I'm not going to spoil, but man, the feels.
I saw and was touched. I'm surprised no one else said anything.
I want to say that I've seen grown up Ice Bear use that axe in an earlier episode, but I'm not sure. And if he did, where did he keep it the whole time he was wandering the globe with his adopted brothers?
Also, that guy. Did he, you know, murder Ice Bear's parents? Is that the reason he's all alone? Because dude, that's freaking metal. Forget Non-nom, this guy is a real villain.
Ice Bear uses axe all the times...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.It wouldn't be parents so much his mother and and likely a sibling or two. So, still pretty fucked up.
Grown up Ice Bear uses a red axe. Yuri's axe was grey. And has his name on it.
So how about that episode with Ice Bear again?
Semi-Necroing this thread since new episodes have been on.
We Bare Bears is having new episodes every weekday this month. I had watched "Subway" already since it was on demand months ago for some reason so I'm going to leave that one out of my discussion. The episodes that aired Monday, Wednesday and Thursday all dissapointing me in different but similar ways. I know what they're trying to say or do but I just didn't find it effective.
For example, today's episode called "Panda's Friend" is about Panda meeting someone with the same interests and the two become fast friends. They both love anime and K-dramas, they eat vegetarian, and they have a similar soft guy personality. But of course the friend turns out to be creepy. This made me upset since watching their friendship in the first part of the episode was really sweet! I know what it's like to meet a new friend you have a lot in common with, especially if they like things that nobody you know likes besides yourself. I thought that could've been the message - that having friends who share your interests validates them - um but of course it wasn't.
The movie episode on Monday felt like it was co-opting the "disrespectful portrayal of minorities hurts everyone" message except they made it about the bears, and it feels fake since bears are bears, not a minority, and our bears seem to get very little flack for being fully equipped predators (minus Panda) living among much less powerful humans. Also "Anger Management" seemed to want to tell a story about triggers and caretakers but it fell flat, because Nom Nom is a jerk and no amount of hugs can suddenly change a person's outlook.
I'm wondering if other people are watching the new episodes and what they think of them, or if they agree or disagree with what I said.
I will say that the Subway episode is funny, and the scene with the purposely gnarly CGI bear in the movie episode was pretty funny, because jokes about CGI are always funny.
Creator of Heroes of Thantopolis: http://heroesofthantopolis.com/Sadly, I've slowly lost interest. It's still adorable at times, but I guess Slice of life isn't sticking with me at the moment.
"We be we baby!"The Loud House is nothing but slice of life. Not that I condemn you for dropping We Bare Bears but it had to be said.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here. And suddenly I want to see more of those human counterparts.
Thoughts on the newer episodes?
Who's the guy who voiced Lewis in the fair episode??! His voice sound SO familiar, but I can't place it. My mind is saying he's Mateo from Elena of Avalor but I'm not sure XP
Creator of Heroes of Thantopolis: http://heroesofthantopolis.com/I thought it was Weird Al Yankovic, but it's not listed on his IMDB page.
On tonight's episode, Wyatt was definitely voiced by the guy who does like half the voices in Hanazuki, but most notably Sleepy Unicorn and Dazalicious Jones! Yay! I love that show.

Come to think of it, has Ice Bear ever said anything that doesnt begin with "Ice Bear"? I think he said "Chloe!" in Chloe and Ice Bear (when Chloe was in the alligator pit) but thats all i can think of.
