I'm regretting making Ref reckless. I had no more choices form the moment he heard voices ;w;

I realized that myself and changed it to after the arrow impacted. Either the arrow, or the woud is visible and he just guesses.

Notes with my latest post:

Even though romanmyth did not post yet I still gave Fredrick a dodge roll; it's assumable that your characters have enough self preservation to do at least that.

Since the GMPC is not entering the fight after all, I'm making a GM decision to not count Nid's MP as being spent. I went ahead and did the rolls anyway, but I figure it would not be fair to have Dem Kimochis expend MP on something that turned out to be a Red Herring due to OOC reasons.

If it was an IC Red Herring that would be different, but for an OOC one like this, I'm making it slide.

Also, I'm assuming that the shoulder charged knocked me away from Refram as opposed to him and I atop eachother in a tangled mess. If I'm wrong, then lemme know so I can reedit it up

@Firock Finion: I stopped showing up for a while because when I first suggested the idea, everyone was being dickish about it. It wasn't until a couple months later that you PM'd me, and even longer when I figured I'd check and see what TV Tropes was up to. I actually went back to read the old magic-vs-tech RP that Rallyfan was running. That's when I saw that little red digit above my avatar. You're right though. Can't change the past. I just wish I wasn't rushed off of the site by those dicks when I first suggested the idea.

TL; DR: You did message me when it went up but due to being ran off the site I didn't show up for a while. I'm not saying DIDN'T send me a message. I'm saying I wasn't here to read it.

Anyway, sorry about no post last night guys; was more distracted after work than I expected, and by the time I really had time to try posting tiredness from the two previous nights of not-good sleep was catching up to me and I didn't even feel capable of a discussion post. Spent my day off here mostly sleeping in so I'm feeling pretty good now; I should have a post up in the relatively near future, just gotta check on some other things first. So probably within the next hour or two.

I don't see my plan backfiring spectacularly. Oh no, not pulling Refram out of darts shot, and then next turn he escapes and Dart accidentally shoots me. That said, if this does work even in a modicum degree, then I am a genius. Lessee what happens! :D

@Firock: Is it ok to shoot 2 arrows? I really can see Nid firing two.. Please let me know so I can edit accordingly.

@romanmyth: I think Frederick's gun was not really knocked away? More pushed slightly for the shot to miss.

@Dem Kimochis: She could try to fire two as part of the same shot, Multishot style, but without a related skill it would not be likely to go as she planned.

Firing one arrow after another arrow would take too long for a single turn without either a really good roll or a skill for doing just that.

EDIT: Also, technically speaking since Nid has no skills related to archery, she's just as skilled with a bow as, say, Anabella.

EDIT @romanmyth: Fredrick's gun wasn't knocked out of his hand; his hand was just knocked to the side so his shot missed. He should still be holding the gun.

Anyway, here now after work; not sure how soon I'll be posting. As usual, other stuff I'd like to check on and I may be taking advantage of my three day weekend by staying up as late as I dang well please; so the post may not be up for many hours.

Huh, damn... I'll need to invest in some skills... -____- So technically, Nid is more effective with a sword, due to her strengthening magic :O. I think I messed up big time. I guess for now I'll have to compensate for that... Editing post.

The strengthening magic doesn't increase her proficiency with any weapon, it just makes them more effective by reinforcing them.

She could reinforce a bow to either use it to whack people better, or increase its draw strength; which would also make it more difficult to pull back, but would make the arrows it fires have higher speed and more punch. Which is actually what I thought you intended to do with it.

Well, yes, not that much skill but it's still a harder sword which is much easier to land than any arrow, I suppose.

Crap, don't know why this is only occurring to me now to ask about clearing up this confusion.

@Dem Kimochis: I can't tell why you're having Nid spend MP for push in two separate cases; I can only see one instance in the post that specifically mentions her using the wind magic. I can kind of assume it's one cast for one arrow and the other for the second arrow, but I don't know which is meant to be which.

Now that I've screwed up by not remembering to ask until now, it's probably too late for me to actually get that post in like I said I would before I crash for the night. That's my bad. Well, I happen to know that I will actually be free from any major distractions at least for a while after I get up tomorrow, so I'll have an excellent time to get the post up then, confusions clarified or winging it.

Derp, so I still have my gun in my hand then? Shit, gotta rewrite the edit, I thought it was fully knocked aside.

Annnnnd done. Part of me wanted to keep the grapple, but mehr, maybe next time.

Well, in the post, there was only one instance. That would be 2 mp for added accuracy. The other one, though not mentioned, was to give the arrow more speed - for it to have a greater impact. She didn't strengthen the bow for a faster draw but she makes up for the speed with the wind. I didn't want to put it into the rp because... I'm not really sure... I guess it felt somewhat off? Anyway, I can change it if you want.

Ah, I see. I suppose what I'd put is something about her using some of the magic to make it go faster while also making it go where she wanted. Though really thinking about it, that pretty much involves it all going in the same direction, (towards Fredrick) especially at the distance she's at from him; so I'd just put it all in one number.

Anyway, time for me to make some rolls and a post.

And I have no clue on what to do.

Welp, I'm gonna make like a doctor and perform first aid. Cause if I lose another hitpoint, I'm down to 0. So fingers crossed I can save myself some.

Also, I think I am at 3MP, (including the one used for first aid) is that correct?

Or faint with loss of blood huehuehue.

As soon as I get more points to spend, I'm gonna get Anabella a proper spell, or at least some method of attack besides just some molotov potions. lol.

Yea... I have to spend points on archery as well... To at least make Nid a proper archer. Sigh, invested too much points in that one skill haha.
