I've tried this a little. It's one of the most bizarrely satisfying games I've ever seen, kind of like a cross between Dwarf Fortress and Cookie Clicker. Definitely recommend trying it out if you like that sort of thing.
Join my forum game!Ohhh, this is neat.
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984It's like a 2D version of Fortresscraft Evolved,
Also Bob's Mods, the Treefarm Mod, and Long Reach are amazing.
Update: MK 2 Logistics Drones are insanely fast and OP after you upgrade drone speed.

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!I just learned of Factorio today, because of the Steam Awards; it's a nominee for the "Haunt Your Dreams" Award.
How far along is it — it's still Steam Early Access. I may pick it up when it gets a real release.
It's got a full complete endgame. They just keep adding new content. loads of mods to play with as well.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans. Then why is it still Early Access?
Technically it's in late beta development, but it's amazingly bug-free and looks better polished than most "completed" AAA products. Kovarex plans to only take off the Early Access label once it hits 1.0 "mainline release".
0.16 is the latest version and features even more HD texture updates and improved conveyor belt placement logic, also the ARTILLERY TRAIN CAR and 1.21 GW nuclear-enriched rocket fuel (Great Scott!).

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!I need to play this again. I picked it up a while ago and have missed several updates since.
Who watches the watchmen?Solar power is supposedly more performance-friendly for your framerate, but Nuclear power is so much more compact for multi-megawatt production. Just remember to make sure you refine enough Uranium to keep a stockpile of fuel rods and have auxilary solar/burner power backups.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!UPDATE: Version 0.17 has finally been pushed to Steam! The march towards "retail complete Version 1.0" goes on. Also they refined the graphics a little bit more.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Just started playing this game and my belts are already turning into a tangled mess.
This is awesome
El sexo es temporal. LA PENITENCIA ES ETERNA!So basically the Expansion Pack is confirmed to have a lot of its own new things, so the devs promised to put a compatibility checker to ensure players with/without the expansion can play together to some extent.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Have they spoken about what is it that this expansion will add, or are they keeping it secret?
El sexo es temporal. LA PENITENCIA ES ETERNA!Reviving this thread to say yes, they've talked about the Expansion Pack, AKA Version 2.0, aka Factorio: Space Age. FFF threads are being posted once more on r/Factorio :D

So, I found this neat little game while perusing the internet, it's a factory manager. It's still in alpha but has a lot of content, if you've ever played modded Minecraft, Mine Chem or Infini Miner you may enjoy this particular game. It's got conveyor belts, electricity management, cars, trains, automated programmable robots. A really neat dieselpunk atmosphere and a surprisingly stable game for all the little mechanicals involved.
