MAKE IT HAPPEN - though I have my doubts it won't be as awesomely action-packed as that sounds, knowing who it's geared towards... There isn't a lot you can get away with when aimed at the really young crowd these days, TBH.
New Web Browser, same old Shokew.Plus no matter what you pick (except Timon and Pumbaa) the Lion King is actually pretty dark for a Disney movie.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Apparently the main character is going to be Simba and Nala's son, Kion. Kiara's going to be in the series too, so I assume that this is going to take place after the second movie. Otherwise, there's going to be a lot of questions about where he was in Simba's Pride.
Well the premise is that Kion will assemble a team of animals that will help defend the Pride Lands from intruders, so that's where the Avengers influence comes in.
Probably just kids going on adventures. Since it's Disney Jr. it'll probably be closer to Captain Planet, but The Avengers is a Billion Dollar franchise, so it makes for a better sounding comparison.
So no Ironman!lions or Hulk!baboons? I'm disappointed...
I say thank God. The last thing I care to see would be the actual Avengers in any disney animated canon.
Don't watch the Phineas And Ferb special then.
"We be we baby!"So, a plot-based Lion King action series? Sounds great! Also Kiara is an onee-san apparently.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.How many kids does Simba have anyways in the animated canon? There's Kiara and this guy. Plus there's the kid born at the end of the first movie that may or may not be Kiara.
There's Kopa, Kiara, and now Kion, though Kopa hasn't appeared in anything outside of books.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.The art style looks suspiciously reminiscent to Jake And The Neverland Pirates which can leave some possibility to what this will be like.
The current info makes no mentioning of Kovu or Vitani either, suggesting this might take place before and be another case of Remember the New Guy?.
Anyone betting on Shenzi, Banzai and Ed appearing as Poke the Poodle villains like Hook did in the aforementioned show? :P
that is some top quality flash animation.
though i'm not too sure i'm a fan of Kion getting a cutie mark at the end there.

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.The animation kind of reminds me of the second Lion King movie, to be honest.

That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I think this is Mercury Filmworks.
Y'know, I really hate that magic pawprint nonsense. The movies at least kept the magical / spiritual stuff somewhat ambiguous. Having a tangible magical plot device like this is just gonna take away all the mystique. I mean, the Mufasa-in-the-clouds scene was epic. That kinda stuff shouldn't be happening every other episode.
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.Maybe the roar will be a one-time thing?
They picked the name right, though. I just looked up what "Kion" means and it apparently means "Young warrior".

That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Yeah, but it gave Kion some sort of pawprint... tattoo... thing. He's got a magic plot device as a constant part of his character design.
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon. That was a badass scene especially for a Disney Junior show. The animation was also high tier. Probably the best looking flash animation since the first episodes of Star vs. The mark might be explained later on in the show.
"We be we baby!"
So, after hearing about how Mercury Filmworks gave up Star vs. to focus more on Penn Zero and this, I did a little research to find out what we're getting into. Apparently, it will have a movie special in November and the series starts in January 2016. The Wiki page states that it will be like "The Lion King meets The Avengers". This doesn't look too bad. Let's see where this one goes.
