pffffffft
And then there was silenceThose bird people are basically harmless anyway. What are they going to do, push you?
The Eddie Cougar and Ezio bird-people are way more dangerous.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.i actually hadnt let a single one of those bird fetus things get off an attack by that point, so i had no idea what they actually did, and was somewhat worried that if i let this now angered npc attack i might die and have to fight freddy again
There's one hidden behind a house that's a dick and tries to push you off a cliff, and the spellcaster ones on the rooftops are really annoying. Still fairly harmless, though.
Really those things are just sad. I read about a Corvian Settlement and thought it would be about, well, corvians, but there's only one in the entire area (the friendly one right behind the starting point) and instead you get mildly punked by entire armies of a diversity reboot of Beak from X-Men.

Maybe the bird-people we see are just the rotting forms of the Corvians, like all of their feathers have fallen off expect for the dangerous variants with the Volvo claws and the ones with the capes.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.The ones we see in Ariandel are structurally different, though - they have bird heads and what look like skeletal wings, instead of being essentially scrawny screamy skeleton dudes with elongated necks.
It's been fun.I’m a little disappointed in the DLC to be honest. I found it rather lacking in content. Compare it to the Bloodborn DLC, which had several bosses over multiple maps or the Dark Souls 2 crown trilogy which each had three bosses a large detailed area to explore each, and I think it just comes up short with only the two bosses over a sizable, but not that large, frozen landscape.
Granted that one boss, is a really freaking good boss.
Just beat The Champion Gravetender and his wolf.
That was, real boring honestly. Admittedly I had a sunbro with me hurling sunlight spears but that was over really fast. Disappointingly fast.
What do I do with these Champions Bones? Burn them? What happens exactly?

Oh really when?It does explain where to burn them and what it does in the description of the item.
It's been fun.Yeah but like, what are they?
Oh really when? The bones of the Champion, duh.
Seems like a pretty terrible way of restricting entry. "To get to the Undead Match, you need to find the champ outside the arena, murder the fuck out of him/wait until he dies, steal his skeleton and set it on fire"
Kinda not a ton to see is there? I feel like I've explored everything in my way so far.
Any good weapons by the way? I love my Astora Greatsword but I kinda wanna mix it up. I've been using the Follower Javelin as a secondary and liking that so far.
Oh really when?Speaking of I found Vilhelm, annoyed his set is just a bit too heavy for me to wear. Really not sure where to go next. I can't think of any place I haven't explored.
Oh really when?Poke around the room full of mutant flies. That's where the paths to most of what you have left to do can be opened.
As for weapons, well if you beat the guy and his pet wolf you have Valorheart. That thing is fun. Really most of the new weapons have fun unique movesets, except for the Millwood weapons (battle axe, greatbow, Earth Seeker and Quakestone Hammer) that just tend to be regular weapons with unique weapon arts, plus Earth Seeker having Faith scaling of all things.

Look around carefully in the room where you found Vilhelm's set. There's something there that can be poked to open another path (and also a false wall that leads to another area with some more treasure).
It's been fun. There we go. Is it really Time for the final boss already? That's a bummer.
Got the new pyromancy flame though. That's fun. Is it better than the normal one?
Oh really when?It has three extra things. First, it's stronger than the vanilla one at low magic stats, but weaker at higher stats, so it's better as secondary weapon rather than full spell flinging build. Second, the fire in your hand actually hurts stuff when doing gratuitous spellcasting hand motions. Third, instead of Combustion its special skill is a very interesting one. If you kill about a dozen mobs while having it on your hand (you can two-hand, but not switch it out) and use the weapon art, you get an Estus back.
At what level does the normal one start to be better? I've been using my pyromancies as a secondary because the flame is weightless so why not but I've been going for a really balanced build.
Also kudos for giving me a Three phase boss fight, complete with awesome music. That was great.
Can't help but feel like I'm still missing something though. Some treasure or something.
Oh really when?maybe its just cuz im out of practice, but i feel timid as fuck in this dlc
None of the enemies are really anything super crazy. Don't let the backflips and junk scare you too much. Just keep your distance and circle them.
Oh really when?uh. the arena below where you fight the pyromancer reminds me of something. not sure what.
although the path there definitely reminded me of the hollow
It's Priscilla's chamber. Some of the dialogue explains it all.
More spoilery spoilers: Someone painted over the Painted World of Ariamis to create this new world, Ariandel - and soon the little girl will paint over it again to create a new world. It seems that the Painted World has its own cycle of decay and repainting, the world itself rotting before a new painter reshapes it to be the sanctuary for the Forlorn that it is meant to be.
Speaking of the ladder, did anyone hear this in the back of their minds when they were climbing it?
Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2Honestly the DLC's new Pv P arena reminds me of only one thing: Unlimited Blade Works: Dark Souls Style. I'm just waiting for somebody to do an Archer cosplay there and fuck every-golden king's shit up.
'If you fall seven times, stand up eight.' The cry of the Undead.
If you're talking about who I think you're talking about, he actually gives you a titanite slab once you beat the main boss, so you definitely lost something of value here.
