> traditional 2D animation, or CGI
TV budgets mean quality 2D/CGI animation is out of the question,or I'm speaking out of my arse and they can afford it and that particular style has been chosen because looks really nice.
New theme music also a boxMaybe their usual budget for their CG tv shows doesn't hold a candle to their usual budget for CG movies, ergo if they did a CG tv show for one of their recent movies with their CG TV show budget, some people will probably complain and say it doesn't look good as the source material.
The 2D appearance does look quite lovely, so I don't see what's the matter.

It looks great. The new girl seems okay, although I suspect she'll be mostly a straightman, which Rapunzel and Eugene would probably need for an ongoing story anyway.
the animation style reminds me of penn zero part time hero.
MIAThey seem to be going for a "picture book" art style, which I like. Also I had forgotten how much I liked these characters. I hope they get some good new villain(s) though.
I was wondering. What is the target demographic for this series? Little girls or maybe older.
MIAMaybe the same demos as MLP and The Lion Guard. It keeps the tone of the original movie, yet it still has lessons and theme that can apply to everyone.
Trailer narration is annoying, but it looked fine otherwise.
Still don't know how I feel about the art style.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Just saw the first TV commercial for the Spanish language version of the series in Disney Channel Latin America. It's a shortened version of the US TV movie spot. The local title is Enredados Otra Vez (literally Tangled Again).
Only Rapunzel got (one) line of dialogue, but she seems to keep her voice from the CGI short, Romina Marroquín Payró (also Anna in Frozen and Judy in Zootopia) rather than the movie's voice, singer Diana Paola.
Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an online version yet.
I think the audience they want is the same one for Elena of Avalor, which I think generally is preteen/tween girls, which is what Disney Channel generally caters to, but at least in their animated department, they seem to try to make their shows with a much larger audience also in mind (I'm not a big fan of their sitcoms, but their animation is consistently much more watchable for anybody, IMO)
Bide your time, and Hold out Hope — GANKUTSUOU Just because it's irrational, doesn't mean it's not real.Another trailer?
Wooo!
I'm starting to like this series more and more.
"We be we baby!"Wait, it's a movie? Not a tv show?
"That's a to-go order. See! It's already gone!!"It's a TV show that will premier with a pilot movie.
Ugh, they gotta be more clear in these commercials.
"That's a to-go order. See! It's already gone!!"If you really can't wait, indulge in the first 5 minutes of the TV pilot movie!
I was wondering where people were getting those gifs from!
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.I love the way the animation looks. I'm really excited for this because Disney's TV animation has been on a role lately.
I'm about to watch the first episode. I have a feeling it's going to be so awesome!◊
Flora is the most beautiful member of the Winx Club. :)According to this it'll have 78 episodes, 3 seasons, and 2 more TV specials.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Did anybody else see the commercial where Mother Gothel came back to life? How did that happen? You fell out of the tall tower, you creep!
Flora is the most beautiful member of the Winx Club. :)I don't trust Rapunzel's dad, because he's Lex Luthor.
I really like the animation. It, shockingly, is really good animation considering its a Disney TV Show. The art style looks ok, but the animation is smooth in a style that often can look really cheap. Specifically, the show uses a squish and stretch approach to animation rather than simple hand drawn shapes. And it looks nice.
Not sure how I feel about Gothel potentially coming back since her villain arc was done with by the end and, considering her whole theme is 'Abusive Mother', I don't know how that can work when Rapunzel is clearly outside of her control by this point. She's lost her power as a villain by now.
*AHEM* Spoiler tags, please.
EDIT: I know the commercial already spoiled it, but still. I hadn't seen that commercial, and maybe it was just being misleading or something. I dunno. Just please use spoiler tags.

I've got Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash, Spyro, and Paper Mario fanfics.
I really would have liked to've seen traditional 2D animation, or CGI. I mean, if they can do CGI for Descendants: Wicked World why not this?
