Good idea. We are working on a ton of new things, one of which includes yet another new design and a new logo (it's been teased on Facebook).

Oh, good! That new lampshade would be a whole lot easier to make into a tiny favicon image. Those stripes/ribs were the hardest part to try and salvage. You might even be able to keep the "tv" part.
Still will probably have to crank up the contrast, though. Really small images need a lot of contrast.

Seems done now. Locking.

We still use a rather old logo for our favicon. That little TV doesn't seem to be used anywhere on the site. It seems our official small icon logo is the lampshade.
I've played around with the idea of making one. It's not easy, since the lampshade isn't designed for 16x16, so I had to redo it it at different sizes.
You can download the icon file here: https://infotomb.com/lk42z, or see all the images in it (16x16, 32x32, 64x64, 256x256): http://imgur.com/ZiUrk9N
I'm not promoting that file, it's just to give you an idea. I'm not even sure you need all those resolutions—they're just all the ones that are different. (The outline gets thicker. Only 16x16 is radically different.)
