I was wondering if I could maybe sign up too.

Problem is, I'm 100% completely and totally new to RPGs.

What should I do?

Pray.

But seriously, you can always ask someone. I, for one, would be happy to help (though my actually being able to isn't guaranteed).

Not really sure if I want to do it, honestly. Just interested, that's all.

@Linktothe Future - You are certainly welcome to signup. I would recommend browsing TV Tropes and the internet in general for RP'ing basics if you are 100 percent new. And there are a plethora of people on the forum (and an excellent mod) that would be willing to help you.

@Kyef - crazy Brazillian graffiti artist but can you specify which "evasive martial arts" he knows? And to what extent? Like is he a master or just knows the basics from a Youtube video?

So, he's been training Parkour for like 6-7 years, so I guess he is more of a Parkour brazilian guy that paints and fights than a graffiti artist that climbs or a martial artist that jumps. His fighting was taken for 2 years( so he's not a master) as a part of his Parkour training, and that's why he trained a martial art that focuses on helping people getting out of hazardous situations, I forgot the name but its punches are open-handed so the fists won't brake bones, the kicks are rare, just like to counter other kicks, and never thrown higher than the waist, and the defensive position is one where you put your hands on the side of the head and protect yourself with your elbows, flexing a leg and doing the same with your knees if you are getting kicked. As effective as his Parkour itself.(edit: I researched it and it's actually Krav Maga, I think. He trained the more evasive and defensive ways of it, and has notions on how to be lethal and cripple enemies, because his senseis mentioned it, but usually avoids it).
He also knows some solid disarming techniques and moves from Krav Maga (demonstration:

and Judo throws, the latter he did very little even before Parkour. If he wanted to impress he knows some Capoeira, but nothing so well-based that he could fight with it, the moves he knew were more aestethic for when he would like record his moves and flip and stuff, just for showing off.
So he kind of could hold his own for a little while, but he would prefer to run first and then get rid of whatever spotted him on the fleeing(if it's not more than two or three guys) if he gets caught. Oh, and he's always using his beanie.

Name: Jordan Mc Vay

Gender and Age: Male, 31.

Appearence: 6'1. Never takes off his helmet and all of him but his forearms is covered up in protective wrappings and clothing to help shield against radiation, cold, and heat.

Equipment: Owns a "Surviving Nuclear Fallout for Dummies" book, outfit fashioned from sports armor and salvaged military gear (backpack, base layer of clothing). Wears a motorcycle helmet and uses a S.W.A.T. shield. Has basic survival gear, including matches, duct tape, freeze-dried food, and medicine kit. Weaponry includes a pistol with 37 out of 40 shots and a rifle with 18 out of 20 shots, and 3 grenades. 2 cases of spare ammunition. Also has 2 knives duct taped to a glove, Wolverine-style. The base was already well-stocked before the fallout, and he has fortified his camp with hidden machine gun traps and axes, all triggered by tripwires, to keep out the zombies. Has some gasoline but no vehicles to use it on.

Personality: Grim and silent as a result of his family's death. Cunning. A cross of Batman, Snake Eyes, and Boba Fett. He will never forgive the governments for the apocalypse and grief they caused. He doesn't take crap from anyone.

Skills: Lived near an army training base prior to the fallout, and worked in weapons training. An excellent marksman. Went hunting and camping with his dad when he was a teenager.

Backstory: Was born in Michigan. Enlisted and proved proficient in weaponry and was moved to help train specialists. Face was damaged as a result of debris and shrapnel during the fallout, so he keeps his face covered at all times. His wife and daughter were out grocery shopping, and he was in an underground storage compound on base when the sirens started wailing, and the bombs hit. After the all-clear was sounded, he gathered a few supplies and went out searching for loved ones. The entire commercial district was obliterated. His best friend, Nathan, was found near the museum he worked at and survived but then died of radiation poisoning. Most everyone on base either left to other parts of the country to find their loved ones or look for a better area, died in fallout, or a mutated wild dog got to them. Has been surviving at the base ever since the fallout, has fortified his camp, and has yet to meet any new survivors.

Yeah, so if I could just find happiness, that'd be great.

He could be part of the crew we're meeting up next, no?

I'd like a little more backstory on what he did before the war but he looks okay. And yes the best place to meet up with him would be the army base

I'm new to roleplaying and I never got to play my D&D game, sorry. I'll edit my character a little more. Is there anyway you can give me a quick rundown of what's happened so far or will you just tell me when to jump in and the characters themselves will explain?
