I actually read Witch Week first—I don't think I read any of them in order. So I don't think you need to worry—it'll be less "oh I missed a plot point" and more " oh, cool, extra info backstory." plus, Witch week is the most...separate for Reasons, so you should be fine.

my pleasure. Always glad to see people reading her.
Another good one, not related to Chestomanci, is "Deep Secret" feature conspiracies, the multiverse, bureaucracy, and a Sci-fi con.
Got a degree in Emotional trauma via fictional characters aka creative writing. hosting S'mores party in Hell for fellow (evil) writersMy personal favourite of hers is Fire and Hemlock. There's just something about that one that really stays with me even after all these years and it got better on the reread.
Archer's Goon is also a good one, I really liked the concepts in it and the tone is just light enough.
BTW, since you've recently Charmed Life, can you confirm me something? I could have sworn that it had the first use of the word "Muggle" more or less with the same meaning as in the Potter books. I never got around to rereading it to confirm though.
What do you folks think of the Pinhoe Egg? Always wanted to hear an opinion on it.

RE: Charmed Life I'm not sure either I haven't read it since I was a kid, I should reread it to check.
My favorite of her books is Dogsbody. The concept was so intriguing and the whole book was so heartwarming (I have a sweet and loving dog so that helps)
I havn't actually read Charmed Life. I had to finish Witch's business first and I won't be home to get my copy of CL until Monday

After discovering the joy of Dianna Wynne Jones books. I've decided to try out the Chrestomanci series.
However I've only recently got the first and third one (Charmed Life and Witch Week) and I was wondering if I could read Witch Week right after the first one (the concept intrigues me) and not miss much (As one could read House Of Many Ways after Howl's Moving Castle without reading Castle In The Air and not miss much)
