@Whizzerd: I was talking with Star about the "missing links on the relationship chart", and we came up with an option to integrate Lyndi to the friend's group:

Since she's good tracking and identifying minerals, maybe she could work part-time at the workshop of Alice's "granpa", where that kind of skill would be really useful.

From there, she could start a friendship with Alice, who would be quite intrigued to learn more about her and her people.

But, that's just a suggestion right now, I'd like to read your opinion on the matter.

@Hazzy: I wanted to ask if you think Hayate and Charlie would be friends with one another, since Hayate's a nature guardian and Charlie's an Ent? If you're alright with it, maybe Hayate met Charlie in Danker Park when he was relaxing on one of the Ent's branches.

That makes sense, yeah. I think they could also disagree on how to do a garden properly. Like Hayate would randomly grow flowers and Charles would be all 'wtf that's overpopulation stop'

@Phantom: Sounds good! If it'd be alright with you, perhaps Alice's grandpa had a hand in creating Lyndi's translation collar? Or simply making adjustments to the existing product so it's better than just 'sufficient'.

Lyndi's more likely to know anyone who goes (or has gone) to the college; she occasionally goes to the beach to see her ocean relatives, so maybe she and Alexi have made the trip together a few times?

Hmm, and maybe Lyndi and Hayate could be flying buddies Though her family being miners might be a source of discontent between the two.

Sure, Flying buddies sounds good. Hayate might be uncomfortable with the "Mining" thing, but he understands it's sometimes necessary...how uncomfortable he is is up for debate.

In terms of missing relationships, here's what I remember:

• Alexi, as a longer, could be friends with Charlie since, in pendulum's words, "she's a lonely nerd who will talk to a talking tree."
• Within the band itself, Alexi and Tsukika have differing opinions on the direction the band should take, due to their difference in musical tastes. So "rivals"? Or "conflicting music"? I dunno.
• Hayate, Tsukika, and Yuna are all part of the same foreign student exchange program. All from Not!Japan.
• Kage suggested that maybe Damien would be friends with Marvin since "Damien and Marvin both have heritage they don't particularly care for." No word on whether Krika is good on that or not though.
• Bud might've belonged to Danica's father, found in his RV by Danica once got it out for the road trip. Taco needs to confirm on that note though.

I also don't recall anyone running Hayate being in the band by Sven, so we should ask him. Hey Sven, how do you feel about being in the music nerds club?

EDIT: Talking with Gladonost on Skype, he's good with Tsukika and Diana being friends. Diana does need a good foil to have her break out of "tough gal" mode after all.

...However, before posting, I need a little bit of info:

• What time of the day is it? That's actually a rather important detail, as the mood (of the characters, mostly... Specially of those like Rachel or Charlie) drastically changes depending of the time of the day. Traveling in the early morning isn't the same as if it were midnight, or high-noon, or anything in between.

• Where and how should Tamae meet up with Alice? Remember that the robotic girl can't drive, so it's not as simple as taking grandpa's car and driving to the agreed place... Theoretically, she could push the vehicle all the way there, but that w-...
  Hmmmm... Actually, that could work in the worst of cases... And it would be a rather funny introduction.

The height of each storey is based on the ceiling height of the rooms plus the thickness of the floors between each pane. Generally this is around 10 feet (3.0 m) total, however it varies widely from just under this figure to well over it.

...though doors are usually smaller. Some ducking may be required.

OK, there goes nothing... I hope I don't disappoint everyone once again, like it's already a tradition for me to do around this place.

Two important notes about my previous posts:

1. The incident Alice was apologizing for was something that happened during our previous attempt at a Road Trip RP. Because going meta is also one of my personal seals, yo! That's the way I roll, dog!

2. From now on, "Grandpa's Psychedelic Eco-Friendly Retro Sci-Fi Van" will be known as The Enigma... A little nod the iconic Mystery Machine, because I'm just SOOOO original and creative, specially when it comes to names.

Hey whizzerd, do you think Lyndi might've attended Lumberstock? I think she's the only character who'd be old enough to have attended.

I have an important announcement: I'll be away from my computer for a couple of days, so I won't be able to post in the mean time.

That's why Alice has entered into "forced sleep mode" at the moment... Truth be told, I defined that trait, not so much for drama's sake, but in order to alleviate those absences I'll have to indulge in from time to time.

So, yeah... That's the deal right now... I'll return in 3 or 4 days. In the mean time, I just hope you don't leave Alice abandoned, lying down on the parking lot during my absence, because to that would be EXTREMELY rude, d00ds!

...Also, be aware that the mechanical girl is somewhat heavy... Not "made of lead" kind of heavy... But that super-alloy frame of hers adds a surprising amount of extra weight.

Anyway, that's my current situation... In the mean time, I have to go... See you later in a couple of days.

It's definitely something she would want to go to! How long ago exactly did Lumberstock take place?

My idea for draconic species is that they've had rocky relations with other species in the past. All those bedtime stories of centuries-past dragons kidnapping girls and hoarding treasures aren't completely without merit (if somewhat exaggerated). The dragons cleaned up their act, but relations were still uneasy for a long while. Since the lesser known draco-types were mostly neutral during the whole kerfuffle, but kinda rude about wanting to be left alone, they got tarred with the same brush.

I imagine that some of them attending Lumberstock and the Love & Peace movement would've finally settled any lasting grudges.

Guess would be around 50 years ago. If we're supposing events happened somewhat similarly in timeline to ours.

Anyway, I've noticed we've all been stuck in the parking lot for a while now, so I wanted to ask everyone how they want to proceed with where we're at. Inertia is an RP's greatest enemy, but I don't wanna force people to move if they don't want to just yet. So... how should we move things along? Some ideas...

1. We can keep things going as they are; no need to rush.
2. We can try to fit everyone into the restaurant (except Alice who people are planning to move into the RV to rest) and order food, have them actually discuss where we should go and plans and such for the trip.
3. We can go to the step after that, and start packing and getting into the cars. That way, we're already on our way to our first destination. (I'll ask people for their opinions on what said destination would be if we do go this route.)

Alright, after some days of inactivity on my part, I think it's about time to say I am stepping down as GM. As much as I'd like to, I don't really have the will or energy to devote myself to the RP as much as I should, especially with lots of RL stuff I still need to take care of. I'd still like to play, but for now, until decided otherwise by my candidate, sgtpendulum is now Game Master.

Well, this is sudden, but I can handle.

By the way, to those eating, if you guys don't have anything to say to each other or any other things, I suggest eat right away and get to the vehicle.
