Typical zany Legends stuff this week, but with a lot of focus on personal relationships. I liked it.

Two things of note for this episode.

Thawne may be a time traveller with his speed but I get the sense that Legends Thawne and Flash Thawne have split in character since if Thawne has been trapped in this fixed point than he couldn't have done a lot of stuff he did on the Flash. and Is the fact that Thawne and Gwyn were both referring to punishments foreshadowing for what could happen?

Oh and it was a good thing that Ava the former Time Bureau head did not go to the Fixed Point or didn't do much with that revelation.

They've never explained before how, after being erased from existence at the end of Season 2, Thawne came back to life to menace the Flash (when he returns in "Crisis on Earth-X", everyone just kinds shrugs it off). Now we have a reason why he's alive again; presumably at some point he gets out of his Fixed Point duties, regains his speed, and just can't resist the opportunity to mess with Barry again.

Great return for an old foe. Also, that Sara-montage was one of the funniest scenes in the entire series grin

It was a really fun premise, and since I didn't read the synopsis for this episode, the whole Fixed Point plot caught me completely off-guard.

Last week I meant to say that Spooner coming out as Asexual was a surprise also but I forgot it in Thawne hype from last week. I can say that I thought they would get around the Fixed Point guardian loophole with Robo-Sarah but what the show did was much funnier. And considering what happened to this Thawne, I think it is safe to say his impact in the Flash's timeline is irrelevant. What was your favorite parts of this episode other people?

Y'know, it's amazing that what's ostensibly an action show took out all the main villains of the season with the bare minimum of punching and shooting. Robo Spooner and Gary were tricked into killing each other, Robo Nate and Sara were tricked into killing themselves, and Robo Ava and Astra just got shoved out a door. Robo Zari's the only one taken out in an actual fight, and it was quite deliberately the wimpiest, most pathetic fight possible. And yet it's still so much fun to watch!

Oh man, that episode was non-stop amazing. From that Arnold Schwarzenegger impression, to all these ridiculous plans that actually worked, to Gwyn having his great moment. And then came the final scene surprised

Earth Prime #3, scheduled for May 3, will have a Legends of Tomorrow story taking place around season seven, but featuring characters we haven't seen in the show in a while.

This penultimate episode for the season feels like it could end the whole show. It brought to head a thought I always have about how Robot Wars end when A.I. Is a Crapshoot win. Artificial Intelligence will stagnate eventually because without a "human" to keep inputting complex emotions, the A.I. will eventually reach the state where every moment is the same as the last and nothing changes at all. Evil-Gideon is probably going to lose because she has stayed so focused on her mission of protecting the timeline that she refused to engage in any thinking outside of her directive while Flesh-Gideon has learned and grew as her directive expanded and her knowledge base grew. Flesh-Gideon made choices that Evil-Gideon would still be stuck on to the point of crashing. And the Legends retiring to what they wanted in surface level stuff is a good way of showing all their character growth.

I had to keep reminding myself that there's still one episode left in the season, and that the CW hasn't said yes or no about renewing the show yet, because damn, this felt like a Series Finale a lot of the time.

Man, that was a rollercoaster of an episode. I don't want the series to end though, hope we'll finally get a renewal confirmation soon sad

Pretty sweet season finale! (and hope it's just for the season, not the series)

Caity Lotz was definitely the MVP. She's so often playing Cool Sara, Supportive Sara, Romantic Sara, and occasionally Stone Cold Killer and Emotional Wreck Sara, but Completely Freaking Out Sara is such unexplored territory, and she nailed it.

Also, for everyone who's complained about the show not including enough DC Comics characters anymore frickin' Booster Gold joined the team. Finally!

It was good to see that Booster Gold is now a part of the team. Glad he got a betrayal out of them in his debut so now he's set to join up like many other Legends. I don't think we saw Sara give birth so that's gonna be a thing in Season 8. Something that is kind of off as of the end of this season is the current idea of other time-travellers. We have known since Season 1 of the Time Masters being the Time Police and the Fixed Point showed us that other Time Travelers that aren't the Legends or the Time Masters existed. But if season 8 is going to put the Legends in Time Prison, we are going to get a whole new culture of time travelers that while built up, will still come from nowhere. Season Finale was good, Season 7 was fine as an experiment to get the Legends out of cleaning time anomalies, but there is a progressivism problem noticeably rising in Legends. The Legends deal after getting time travel back this season was cleaning up where they were by leaving it better than when they left it according to their values in contrast to Robo-Gideon's ethics of keeping the timeline exactly the same Because Destiny Says So. The attempt at a compromise failed and Flesh-Gideon wasn't as effective as a middle ground. There is reason behind Robo-Gideon holding the Villain Ball, but there probably could have still been some grey to this situation. No one fully asked the question why do all these events have to happen this despite the fact that as an artificial intelligence, both Gideons probably could have answered why many bad things had to stay in the timeline if given enough calculation time. I am not asking for full Alternate History stories of the other people that lived better lives thanks to the Legends making improvements, but more like a statistic that says "Because these people lived better lives, progressive attitudes accelerated faster than they were supposed to leading to a violent revolution for reform. People still died but they died by yours and time's influence." There's also the implication that Robo-Gideon was destined to be in the wrong because Time or whoever chose to have organic lifeforms be fixers instead of machines. While Robo-Nate ends up becoming the Fixer to the Archduke's assassination, was he pre-destined to replace that Eobard Thawne after killing him? I hope I am not the only one seeing what I am seeing.

That was a good season finale! (Also hoping it's not a series finale.)

I think the setup is a good way to address what ^ were talking about, as we'll no doubt get to see what they're accused of and what the people they're with consider time crimes.

[up][up] Season 3 established that messing with the timeline too much is dangerous to the fabric of time. That's how you get dinosaurs in Los Angeles, or Beebo in Viking times.

Wohooo. As lame as Batwoman's Season Finale was, this one rocked to boat! It had everything in it, fun, drama, hell during the war sequences it even became downright dark!

Shame to see Nick Zano go. But eh, Nate deserves a bit of happyness. Hope he and OG Zari will come by to visit though.

Also very happy for Gwyn. As for Booster, seems like a fun choice, let us hope we will get a renewal fast, it would be very sad for it to be cancelled now!

I can't believe Turkleton is Booster Gold.

I'm weird in that I actually haven't been watching Legends much anymore, but this makes me want to start catching up again.

According to Deadline, the series has been unfortunately canceled.

While The CW is known for giving its longer-running series a proper goodbye, this season of Legends ended on a cliffhanger. Sources, however, pointed out that the characters can easily populate other series in the DC Arrowverse so you may see one or two of them in other shows.

Co-showrunner Keto Shimizu revealed the news on Twitter. “It’s been an incredible run. However, the CW has let us know that there will be no season 8… We are heartbroken, but also immensely grateful for the amazing work our cast, crew, and writers have contributed to the little show that could.”
