Welcome to Alpha Complex Infrastructure Defense! You've been newly promoted from one of the heavily drugged Infra-Red masses to a slightly-less drugged Red citizen. You've also been assigned to work with a team of highly experienced Orange citizens. These people will help you in your new duties and, with luck, one of your clones will survive to be promoted to orange just like them!
This is a new adventure in an on-going Paranoia RPG setting, so there will be several players from the last adventure. However, I also want to have some new players join in. Expect to post at least once a day. I plan to start the actual adventure early next week, probably May 2nd or May 3rd.
This roleplay uses a homebrew system based on the play test rules for the Paranoia reboot coming out sometime in 2015.
To create your character, copy the form at the end of this post, fill it out, and paste it to this thread.
Your Trope Complex name will be a first name + the letter R (For Red Clearance) + three letters representing your sector of origin + your clone number. You have six clones, so your first clone number is '1'. When your character dies, it will be replaced by the next clone (2, then 3, then so on) until your last and final clone.
For your skills: Go through and select two skills to be +1, two skills to be +2, and two skills to be +3. The other ten skills will be set as 0. There are sixteen skills, divided into four fields (Violence, Mechanics, Brains, Chutzpah). Next, for each field, count (not add up) the number of skills you have a 1, 2, or 3 in. For VIOLENCE, for example, if you hade Melee 1, guns 2,athletics 0, and duck 0, your VIOLENCE field would be '2' (Melee and Guns).
For your Mutant power: Select a mutant power from the mutant table below. The mutant power should be associated with the field that you have the highest number in. Your mutant ability power is equal to the value of the associated field. For example, if you picked 'Mental Blast', your mutant power is equal to your Violence field.
