The thing about Holy Terror, and i know this having read all of Frank Miller's other "Dark Knight-verse" comics is that it painfully still reads as his take on Batman. It has the same ridiculous tone as All Star Batman and Robin, only with some Islamphobia thrown in.
it's basically batman with the serial numbers filed off and with silly-looking costumes.
The artwork actually looks comprehensable, maybe because Klaus Janson is inking Miller's work. However, the coloring is just typical DC House style.

"Batman created by Bob Kane with Bill Finger."
Hey! It's not just the TV shows and movies anymore! The comics ARE doing it too!
"Goddamn right."
Okay, any guesses on how often these comics will feature "goddamn" per issue?
wow miller's work actually looks somewhat presentable provided the inker and colorist do the heavy lifting.

...
... *brain breaks*
It's a bit disturbing when Miller's Superman looks less like Superman than Bizarro does.
Disturbing, but far from surprising.
Miller, Azz and Romita Jr. to tell separate tale of how Millerverse!Joker killed Jason Todd.

Why can't they just say he got beaten to death with a crowbar and call it a day? Do we honestly need ASSBAR 2.0?
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundMiller just said he is going to do a part 4 on his own after 3.
I JUST READ AN ARTICLE ON THAT
NOOOOOOOOOO
GOD, PLEASE, WHY
because it seems like he wanted to do it all on his own but azz is cowriting/writing III. so he wants to end it on his own terms.
There's also been mention of an all-ages Carrie Kelley series inspired by the likes of Nancy Drew.
Just fished first issue.
Shockingly not bad.
Well, lets be cautiously optimistic.
But it'd be nice if Miller can use this give us something more positive to remember him by. He needs it.
One Strip! One Strip!-_(\ It's out already?
Well, Newbury Comics should be open for another half hour....
There is no beginning. There is no end. There is only... Hooty. If this is an improvement, it'll be hard to say how much of that is on Miller and how much on Azzarello.
I've read some reviews, and they've all been positive, which is a very good sign.
Weird in a Can (updated M-F)Well, lets hope he can keep it up.
One Strip! One Strip!Just finished the first issue, along with DKU Atom #1, with Miller in pencils too.
Too confused to give it any honest or objective review. It's definitely not bad, it's just so shocking to see this not stink up to high heavens above that I need to adjust some.
But, definitely interested to see how this one opens up. Worth checking out. It's not Born Again, but it could have the potential to rival it.
Oh, and to make sure people won't be too prejudiced:
There's no repetition. The dialogue. Not repeating. It's refreshing to see M Iller's characters act like human beings. Not repeating themselves.
And no god damn batmans, or actually anything even hinting towards that direction. Go ahead. It's not going to make you sick.
So, you'd say it's more of Azzarello's writing, or Miller's?
Finally set aside some time to read the issue. Don't have enough experience with either writer to answer the above question, but it was enjoyable enough. A bit political, but I suppose that's nothing new and it's just that for once I'm reading it when I'm already sick of hearing about the issue of the day. Also doesn't help that we're thrown into the deep end again regarding the sociopolitical situation- didn't Superman snap and take over the world at the end of DK 2?
There is no beginning. There is no end. There is only... Hooty. The Bat Family are the true inheritors of Metropolis, the true successors to Zorro, to the Shadow, the purest manifestation of the glory! The Superman is a lie, he is an outsider, an alien. He has infiltrated our banks, he has taken over our comic books, he has seduced our politicians with his ill gotten wealth, his ilk have polluted our kind and our bloodline!
What I call for now is an end to isolation, to passive policies, a call for action. To take back what is rightfully ours, to restore it to purity, purge it of the undesirable, the alien. For we are the last of true ubermensch, in the expulsion of this imposter we can make Gotham and Metropolis great again, resurrect the original ultrahumanite perfection.
Seig heil! Heil Batman!
That's why he wants you to have the money. Not so you can buy 14 Cadillacs but so you can help build up the wastesSo now the master race has come and the book has started to pick up.
Can I just look at the art? Because then I really would pick One More Day over Holy Terror.
