2035: Humanity is prospering. Starship tech is going well, there are new ways of life, and the poverty level is low.
Then, everything changes. The grandest cities turn in ruined, ancient buildings and everything once known is gone. Soon enough, the truth is found. Someone changed the timeline. All that remains of the old are small glitches in time that hold modern technology or even cities entirely. You are one of two factions.
The Remnants
They seek to go back in time and find what is wrong, hopping from point to point and fixing things that aren't supposed to happen. They are a ragtag group of misfits after most of them were killed in a nuclear accident. They take what they need and do the job. But no matter what they do it seems as though time never changes....
The world they lived in was clean, bright and healthy. But inside was a rotting core of emptiness and cold silence. It was a world where they enjoyed great prosperity, but watched and spied on at every corner. It was a world where people lived many years but ones of wasted time. Still this world had enjoyment, life, even paradise. There was enough space for everyone, science was solving problems and even the poorest of people had things people 30 years ago would never dream of. Light Speed travel allowed people to visit people around the world and When everything changed, entire familes vanished, homes were destroyed. Everything that had ever been worked for is gone, replaced by a unfamiliar and dangerous world. Families that were seen rich and happy were suddenly begging on the streets. Their lives, shattered and destroyed and replaced with something brutal and unforgiving, In desperation, a few people managed to use their knowledge and construct a time machine...
The Knights of the New World
Some people chose to forget. Some chose to live their life normally. Some want it to go back the way it was. The Knights aim to stop them. In the old world they realized the problems and tried to change them but couldn't do anything. Now something has done it for them. They believe humanity is destined to stay on this course and will do anything to stop the remnants or even cause more trouble in the timestream. The new world is one of grimy uncleaniness, filled with blood and gore where people die quickly.. Yet the cites are bustling with life and shouting and people wear a smile on their face instead of blankness. Ancient tools are put to work and beat into new ones, everyone is unique and different. This place does have its downsides though, people are snatched off the streets and beaten, men are forced to work long hours in old factories and technology is ancient and tiring.
Yet the Knights believe this is for the better

Wars brew out daily for food and supplies along with tech of the old world. The remnants are continuing to fight a war but have made little progress due to the Knights. However after months of planning the remnants may have a trump card. If they could just find the moment of time where it all changed then maybe everything would be fixed. And so they device a plan. A machine that can find every point that has every been changed and fix it. They just need a few more months...
The Knights
Celebrating after multiple victories over the remnants and massive changes in the timeline, they are suddenly silenced by alarming news. One of the spies reported that the remenants are close to making something that could undo all their progress forever. So they begin to take action. Some sneak around to hear more about the machine. Some decide to try and destroy the machine before it's made. And some jump back in time to stop whatever's coming.
