I am Groot.
I am Groot.
I am...Groot.
I, am Groot.
I am Groot.
I am Groot.

Confirmed.
This oughta be fun. I like how they didn't use the same song from the films, but still in that 70's era.
Hoping my iPad Pro can run it. It should.
Hey, it's the Rad Mix, not Awesome Mix, not Volumes 1 or 2. If it's anything like Tales From The Borderlands, I look forward to seeing what else they pick.
Excited for this.
So, now that we officially know what the IP is, should the thread's title be changed to "Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy?"
"We'll take the next chance, and the next, until we win, or the chances are spent."Thread title changed per request.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSo it is MCU, then? Interesting.

I mean, considering the comics versions were basically rewritten to match the movie versions... sometimes it's tough to tell but the cassette player is still pure MCU as far as I know.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. It's almost certainly not MCU. I don't think there's been a licensed console game for any of the MCU movies since Iron Man 3.
Guardians of the Galaxy and Telltale are both very different beasts from the typical movie that gets made into a console game, though. I'd be surprised if it wasn't leaning more towards the movie version, since that's got a far wider audience. Those box office numbers are what companies want to capitalize on, not the somewhat obscure space comic that nobody was expecting to be one of the MCU's biggest successes.
GOTG plays to Telltale's strengths, too, being colourful and wacky and whatnot.

I didn't say it wouldn't be MCU-influenced, I said it wasn't gonna be a movie tie-in. The comics are already MCU-influenced as it is.
I doubt it'll be canon, but I suspect it'll be more of an adaptation of the MCU than the comics. Just going by Telltale's previous output here.
Marvel has made an effort to tie spin off media into their MCU before. Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter come to mind. I'm not going to say it'll be totally relevant to whatever GOTG Vol. 2 is, but its still possible for it to be canon.
This should be good. I'm really liking Telltale's Batman, despite the glitches, and I have a feeling that this is going to be something of a spiritual successor to Tales from the Borderlands, which I adore.
First images and voice cast announced.

"Nolan North" SOLD!
I wonder if Adam felt ambivalent about getting a role that is entirely a single line that is said in different tones.
If he has any sense of humour at all I'm sure he'll have a ball with it.
Also I still want someone to deliberately set out to make some kind of animation or video game project that's nothing but an excuse for Nolan North to voice every character and talk to himself in various funny voices.
Very glad Telltale's doing this. It's not quite the sequel to Tales From The Borderlands I want, but with any luck it'll be similar in spirit.

Playing himself in SR4 wasn't enough?...I agree.

Kinda wish thy had gotten Kevin Michael Richardson to play Groot again. His voice fits Groot's the best, Diesel's too, but they can't afford him.
"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"They could always pay Vin to just say it once and then reuse it endlessly.
Chapter 1 goes up for download April 18. Thanos will be one of the main villains.
Not surprising, but good to know he's not the only one.
"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"
I'm not sure what'd be funnier: all the dialogue options being "I am Groot"? Or the dialogue options being all normal, but they come out as various inflections of "I am Groot"?
"If you're out here why do I miss you so much?"
