Saw the first one, it was a Guilty Pleasure at best. Why was a second warranted?
It's Over Anakin, I have the high ground!Indeed. Why?
The first grossed $180 million. No joke.
Also, this film has a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Any of you guys seen it?
No. The only reason I even saw the first one was because it was the movie of choice for the church lock-in I was at at the time.
Saw the first one. It was ok. Might watch it again in the future, but it wasn't exactly a blockbuster.
I watch most movies on Amazon Prime, which doesn't currently have it. If they ever have this one available to rent I might watch it. Won't buy it though.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!First was pretty good, I enjoyed it. This one, based on the trailers, is the original, moved to vegas. And that's it.
I'm baaaaaaackThe original wasn't great, but James is a strong physical comedic actor and the PG rated digs it takes at the "Die Hard" on an X trope is spot on. If this new movie at least sticks with the formula it might be worthy of a chuckle or two.
It also does a rather new angle with the Missing Mom trope. "Your wife was a Mexican illegal who only married you for citizenship before taking off and abandoning your daughter" is quite a new thing.
Yep, so the wife up and out abandoned them once she got a green card.
I heard this one pushed the Reset Button as with several sequels.
It's Over Anakin, I have the high ground! It presses it in a way that's funny and also kinda depressing.
>tfw your wife leaves you after less than a week of marriage

It opened at $23 million, less than the $31 million opening of the first film. Box Office Mojo is expecting the final tally to only be $70 million. With any luck, that means this won't become a trilogy.
Hopefully, yes. This didn't even deserve a sequel in the first place.
The last Happy Madison flick to earn a 0% from Rotten Tomatoes was Bucky Larson. I may be wrong.
Bite your tounge. Unless you want a Self-Fulfilling Prophecy. Since they're giving Joe Dirt a sequel despite it's pittance box-office.

It's Over Anakin, I have the high ground!Someone needs to stab 'em in the face with a soldering iron.
I liked the first Paul Blart movie. It had a personable character who had his failings, but came off as a genuine human being even as we laughed at and with him. Were it not that my schedule never allows for movies anymore, I'd head out and see this one.
It actually did a fairly good job of that for me too, but it ended on a good note that had no reason to keep the series going, especially when all this one apparently does is rehash the first one and dump more crap on the guy right at the beginning.
Jayma Mays isn't in the sequel. I was curious (since I don't plan on seeing the sequel), how did they write her out? Was she Put on a Bus, or did her character and Paul break up?
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationFrom what I've heard, they wrote her out by saying she married him for the citizenship or something and then abandoned him.
Yup, we're all cowards. Myself included. Though it seems we're talking more about the first film.

It's Over Anakin, I have the high ground!I watched it. Don't exactly regret it either.
Re: "From what I've heard, they wrote her out by saying she married him for the citizenship or something and then abandoned him."
So..... they re-hashed the side plot involving his first wife? That's lazy writing if I ever saw it.
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationThat poster was confusing her with his first wife. She divorced him because she found out that Paul Blart is, at the end of the day, Paul Blart.
Generally, you should ignore people who admit to not having seen the movie they're talking about.

Didn't see a topic for this. Anyone see the movie yet?
