How much knowledge of the original game is required? Is there a helpful wikia available?
Trump delenda estBut not everything is going to be taken based on the game. I'll weave in some Korean/Japanese mythos in terms of the supernatural.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Interest and a question: What if we make an OC that's based on an existing franchise?
Saint LaughterAlso interest. Gimme a few hours until I can type up a sheet.

- If you want to. It depends on which franchise you're doing.

"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Might do this.
Good to be backInterested, I'll try and throw a sheet together sometime in the not too distant future.
If any sheets are up, I'll check them by tomorrow morning since I have to sleep.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Adding mine as an example:
- Name: Yu Jong-Won
- Appearance: Using his actual appearance as of 2015.
- Origin: After the events of Shiri.
- Background: A decorated agent of Operation Center, he was responsible for stopping a terrorist attack by rogue North Korean commandos against North/South unification talks in order to start another Korean War in 1998. Although recognized for his efforts, he was hounded for his relationship with a North Korean spy, who was his girlfriend at the time, who died after trying to assassinate the South Korean president. Tired of being accused of being incompetent, he resigned in 2002 to settle for a consultant position in Canada as a security analyst. He was recruited by The Agency due to his exceptional talent as an ex-OP agent. He currently divides in the agency as a field agent and as a part-time instructor for upcoming agents.
- Specialty: Investigator/detective.
- Skills: He is fluent in Korean and English, the latter just enough to be understood. Thanks to his military service and his time in OP, he is proficient in small arms, unarmed combat and defensive driving. He is also familiar with leadership skills, being used in the Agency as a leading field agent and as an instructor.
- Equipment: He is armed with a Glock 17 with a laser/tac light module underneath the barrel, having replaced his Beretta 92FS. Otherwise, he has his Agency-issued Iphone 6. His clothes are based on what the job is, depending if he is needed for an op or for being an instructor.
- Comments: Nothing much. He was long haunted by the deaths of his partner and his girlfriend during the Lee Bang-Hee case in '98 before he was able to move on after unknown benefactors defended him in public a few years ago, putting much discord against him to rest. So far, he is physically and mentally fit to be on the job based on a recent psych evaluation.
Bumping to update regarding a rule on dual characters.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Bumping to see if those interested are still around. Hate to see this go down the drain.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Going to ask a mod to lock this up due to peeps not interested.
If there is a shred of interest, I'll relaunch this RP with the same story when more peeps are interested.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"
The Forgotten Island, an island located in the Sea of Japan between Japan and South Korea between Ulleungdo and Dogojima with the island divided up between the two countries. It's known in Japanese as Wasureru no shima and in Korean as Mang-gagdoendo by locals. It was in 1998 that all contact was lost due to the destruction of underwater cables with a tidal wave that crashed onto the island. Afterwards, everyone on the island disappeared without a trace. Japan and South Korea were quick to cover up the events that happened on the island while deploying search parties to secure it.
The search was carried out by a joint task force of Japanese and South Korean police officers and soldiers. But after four years of investigation, they deemed it to be a closed case and as such, declared the island to be no man's land to the outside world. However in 2015, Seoul and Tokyo received word that a routine patrol with Japanese and Korean choppers crash landed on the island despite having no reports of anything unusual. Some locals on both countries reported hearing strange noises coming from the island's direction, saying that it was a demon. They also reported some strange sightings, such as the presence of a boat that disappeared when a tidal wave struck the island many years ago.
Both countries have called upon the assistance of "The Agency", officially known as the Supernatural Countermeasures Department. A multinational black ops agency that took on supernatural cases when law enforcement and national/federal governments are at a loss on resolving a situation beyond their resources. It was established in the 1950s when the Cold War was starting to get very hot afters aliens made contact with a secret meeting at the United Nations Headquarters.
Initially made under the direction of the United Nations' Security Council, the leadership soon broke away during the 1970s when they realized that the West and East had attempted to use its personnel and resource in order to turn the tide for either faction.
Despite this decision, the Agency still protected the Earth from aliens and supernatural forces alike. However from the 1980s, it has taken on stopping alien/supernatural cases caused by criminals and terrorists alike with cases of out-of-place artifacts being uncovered by various factions near the end of the Cold War. There has been, on the other hand, a few case where alien/supernatural events were used by criminals and terrorists as cover for their activities.
The Agency would get itself tangled up in its latest case, which would get complicated that solving it would be the key to saving the world from being conquered by the forces of darkness.
Welcome to The Island - A Paranormal Agency Case, a RP (hopefully) inspired by Forbidden Siren 2 where characters working under the Agency are sent to the "Forgotten Island" to investigate what appears to be a SAR op to determine if something supernatural was going on or not. Although the backstory (at least some) is also influenced by Human Target and Martin Mystery.
Players can assume characters, canon or original (depending on what the view is), as Agency agents going in to the island and confront enemies and investigate what the heck happened to the place. So for those who are from franchises/series not set in modern times... Well we need to work them out so that their backstories make sense and fit. Be mindful of Superweight, 0-3 characters preferred.
I've experienced people R Ping dual characters. That's fine as long as they work together in canon.
