Can we take Wallbanger links off of main pages?

Wallbangers are clearly a cesspool, and just people complaining for the sake of it, with no discussion allowed. I get that it's not going to be deleted, but could we at least not link to it from work pages? No need to have such a negative part of the site staining pages right at the top.

Actually, linking to Flame Bait bannered entries from the main work page is already forbidden.

As noted, there should already not be any Wall Banger links in main articles. Remove any you see, with prejudice.

Having a subpage but hiding it from access is kind of ..pointless.

Wallbangers pages exist, clearly a number of editors and readers like them, and those people deserve a way to get to them that isn't a roundabout or hidden thing. If you don't like reading them, just don't click on that tab. It's easy enough to avoid.

I seem to recall that Fast Eddie didn't want to go through the shitstorm cutting So Bad Its Horrible would engender so he just quarantined it off from the rest of the wiki so no one who didn't already know it existed would find out about it unless they looked at the old subpage lists or found a link from Darth Wiki. Wall Banger isn't that big of a problem, but it does seem like the policy of the old administration was to not give complaining pages any more attention than they deserved, to tolerate their existence (if they already existed) but not to advertise it. Has that policy explicitly changed with the new administration?

Not explicitly. Eddie did remove the Wall Banger icon deliberately though, as was said in the Namespace Icon thread.
