Six Degrees of Freedom

Marcia quietly listened to Kirby's music for the time being. She just doesn't have the heart to tell Kirby his music is terrible.

His harp-guitar restrung, Azad continued to watch Kirby with the carefully blank expression of a man watching a fighter crash in slow motion.

"Well, at least he has the general rhythm down," said the tanned fighter jock to no one in particular.

Adrian looked over to Jake for a moment.

"The US Dollar? You mean American? Jesus Christ that's old money. How old are you?"

Jake would find the traffic to be expected of a fairly large city. Granted, it moved quite a bit faster than you'd expect, but at the same time, you probably shouldn't be expecting to go anywhere fast.

Jake sighed a bit as he watched the traffic in front of him, itching for an occasion to speed up a little bit, chuckling slightly at Adrian's question.

"I dunno, man, do I look thousands of years old to you?"

Adrian took a few moments to scrutinize Jake.

"You don't look older than 30."

Silas stepped up, his buggy fully charged and over there, "Hey what'd I miss?" he asked, hoping he was interrupting anything.

Marcia looks at Silas.

"N-nothing much... Other um than t-the music."

Atlas Staging Grounds

"I had been tuning this harp-guitar I put together when Kirby decided to to give us a performance," Azad made a face as he put away his instrument. "Spirit isn't the only thing that makes a song."

Spaceport

Kirby finished his song with a twirl and smiled. Then he noticed the mask man and smiled bigger. He liked masks. Meta-Knight had a cool mask and he was nice, other than that time he tried to take over Dreamland. Kirby walked over to greet the masked hooman.

"Hi Siias! Kirby was singing, p'yo!"

Silas was impressed that Kirby knew his name, considering the lore of his story he was just a baby.

"Really now? I heard some comments about that," he responded.

The engineer looked over the supply crates and whistled, "Stocking up huh?"

Atlas Fleet Staging Ground

Azad slapped a crate stamped with freeze-dried rations. "We got bang for our buck. But with the amount, looks like it'll be a long haul for our itinerary."

"Then there's the answer to your question." Jake replied with a grin, keeping his eyes on the road.

Adrian nodded, still very much perplexed over the whole issue, before lying back and waiting for Jake to finally get back to the spaceport.

Wait a minute, how exactly are we going to take everyone out to eat? This car barely has enough room for all of us as is.

"Yo, kids, we're back!" Jake yelled as he arrived back to the spaceport through an open window as he parked next to the others, opening the doors and inviting everyone in the vehicle to jump off.

Seth leaped out his side, making his way over to the hangars to go check on the Phoenix.

"Be right back!"

Adrian stepped out of the car with practiced ease and headed towards everyone else.

"So! Y'all decided where you wanna go and eat yet? Or are we gonna have to take a drive around town?"

Emily grabbed her PDA and hopped out of the car. "There was this one really good place me, you, and Jake went to for lunch. I wouldn't mind going there again."

"Hmmph. Obviously we're going to this town's finest establishment."

"One problem, my liege," the word 'liege' had a touch of impudence whenever Azad said it. "Do we have the vehicles to get there?"

"Well," remarked Adrian, looking at Gilgamesh, "what would be this place's finest place to go eat? 'Cause I've only been to one place. We might need to do some urban exploration."

Ravage raises a paw.

Marcia looks over at Ravage. She wonders what kind of feedback he'll offer for the restaurant thing?

Ravage very directly states "Ask one the soldiers here. They are often hold tastes closer to the palate of the normal citizen. And I daresay, closer to what you would consider 'food'. "

"Are you sure about that?"

Seth walked back from the hangars.

"These ARE the people who view those insects as a delicacy."

Ravage looks at Seth. He admits "I don't know what organics consume beyond similar organic material. It's merely my experience from my native planet that people who have an excess in wealth and political power develop incredibly decadent and poor taste patterns. Guzzling down overly refined Energon, for example."
