As the title says, what are some of your favorite concert moments?

For me, it was 2009. Mayhemfest. Slayer was playing. Now people were moshing like 20 mins before they came on stage. Their set was fuckin' awesome but the best part was right before their last song. Everyone knew what was next, and everyone briefly stopped in anticipation. Then they launched into Raining Blood and I kid you not the entire lawn section was one giant mosh pit. It was like a battle scene out of Braveheart, only no one was trying to seriously harm one another. I caught a fist, threw one back at the guy who threw it, went back to moshing...

Good times, man, good times.

I saw Slayer myself a few years back. Easily the most violent pit I've ever been apart of.

I also lost the glasses that I used to wear at that show, so I can safely say they're the only band that's ever blinded me (somebody's hand swung out of the circle mosh I was avoiding and smacked them off my face). The rest of the night was blurry, but I was happy.

I saw St. Vincent on her Strange Mercy tour and I swear it was the best night of my life. There were so many amazing moments of that show, but easily the best was when she lept into the crowd while covering "She Is Beyond Good And Evil" by The Pop Group. We rushed forward in awe and lifted her up onto our shoulders as she never missed a beat. And then, after she left the stage, some dude jumped up there and stole the setlist. Security tackled him right off. It was a crazy, emotional night. She was my favorite musician for a long while after that. But I saw her on her most recent tour and it seemed like all the raw, spontaneous energy was gone. Instead, she was trying to be David Byrne. :'(

They have maimed & imprisoned the divine king! Is it any wonder that the world sickens and dies?
