Call of Duty: Black Ops III

So no cyborg minigun arms in Zombies then? Hmm, seems like an odd choice to make.

Honestly at this point they should just make a zombies only game, since it's become clear (judging from Twitter reactions) that there are plenty of people who like Call of Duty zombies, but don't play it because they don't give a shit about Call of Duty itself.

Certainly helps that the mode is hella-fun to play, both alone and with friends. Before it closed down, the local internet cafe was often full of people playing Co D: World at War not for the normal multiplayer, but instead for Nazi Zombies.

Though it might be an issue with the name branding that has preventing Activision from separating the two. Co D's name alone more or less helps it sell millions, but the moment you make it a standalone game, or worse, and original title, it's gonna lose a shit-ton of sales.

There actually is an iteration in the Co D franchise with that exact name. I think it was meant for mobile phones, though.

For all you going into the Beta next week, Treyarch has some tips for you in regards to the movement abilities.

And you thought Titanfall had crazy parkour movement.

Just played a bit of the Beta.

Gotta say, the movement feels much more subtle than in AW, and the specialist weapons are interesting (the Sparrow bow kicks a**).

It's pretty fun. I'm missing some features that I hope end up being in the full game though. Reticle customization, dual wielding handguns, emblem creation. That kind of thing.

Also wish they had included some basic specialist customization in the beta. I'm 95% sure that's going to be in the full game (there are screenshots with a personalize option on the specialist selection screen), but it'd have been nice to have some slight way to differentiate our characters. Seeing complete clones at the end of a match is distracting.

So that's the PS 4 beta done. Now open on Xbox and soon-to-be PC.

Bad news for players on 7th Generation consoles: You're not getting the single player campaign at all.

Are you kidding me? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard!

I hate how the last gen players get shafted. I have an Xbox One but still. It really sucks. If they aren't going to make the effort to put the campaign in then just either cancel the game or lower the price to 30 bucks or something.

I agree they should either cancel or half the price.

But the simple fact is that technology marches on and developers are wanting to do stuff that just can't be done on 7th gen.

Bioware has already had to restrict DLC for Dragon Age Inquisition to current gen.

Honestly, I'm surprised it's releasing on last gen at all. And when it comes down to it, most people play COD for the multiplayer (to the point where people have suggested they cut the singleplayer entirely).

Actually, I think Treyarch is leaving the Mason family. Or at least, the PC won't be a Mason.

PC is player created, and the game is more of a thematic and worldly continuation, rather than a personal-level continuation. On that note, Treyarch released an official timeline of the BLOPS universe. Some names and dates are off, but it's the last thing that's important:

I saw that, and the conclusion is given that the world is NOT an anarchy-laden hellhole "run" by Cordie Die, it means all 5 endings are officially Canon Discontinuity.

So no Mason family.

Oh man, I actually enjoyed playing as a character with a voice and character arc. I'm getting pretty sick of faceless FPS main characters (putting yourself in the characters shoe my ASS).

Well I don't think we're being an AFGNCAP, Treyarch simply said that they want the player to control what they look like and so designed the script to allow for different genders is all.
