So I know we aren't allowed Mechs in game. How about conversation about them? Silas comes from a relatively Gundam like universe and the Feds have a few designs.
Mechshit is... kinda complex. To answer your question, talk about mechs is allowed. The tl;dr is that they exist in universe, but they're closer to MechWarrior in combat roles.
Mechs do exist in universe but they are far closer to what you'd find in MechWarrior or Titanfall than, say, Gundam. Space mechs are usually used for orbital construction, provided it can't be automated or done some other way. Combat mechs are essentially literal walking tanks; they need thruster packs for any form of quick maneuverability, and even then it's limited to side-dodges and jump jets. Think Hawken. They also need external accessories to even function underwater and in space, and that's without being effective; that's just "it works".
The reason I didn't want people playing mechs or fighters that transformed into mechs is exactly what I stated in the signup. This is a starfighter roleplay. Playing a mech kind of detracts from the aspect where you fly a starfighter. And even if you are a cool dude who plays a transforming mech-fighter and transforms into a mech only on ground... Okay, in hindsight that might be somewhat balanced, but still, I didn't want to risk someone saying they were using a transforming fighter just so that they could play a mech and get away with it under the guise of a fighter.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Okay then. So Silas could talk about the mechs of his universe and even show off a few designs. Sweet.
Yep, 'das cool.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."...What if Kirby copied Gil? o.O
GIVE ME YOUR FACEThe world ends.
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertHe opens his mouth and uncontrollably vomits Noble Phantasms at his enemies until the entire planet he's on disappears.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Based on that time Kirby used Meta-Knights sword, it'd probably be some super-version of Sword Kirby that wields Ea, and instead of Sword Beams he fires Noble Phantasms.
Really Gilgamesh is going to give the most OP Copy Ability ever regardless.

What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?I wonder if he can withstand a Mega Particle Cannon blast.
Well, Gilgakirby probably could withstand about anything you throw at him through virtue of "barf up/shoot Noble Phantasms at attack until attack becomes ineffective".
Moral of the story; don't let Kirby copy Gilgamesh. It doesn't end well for anyone. (Especially Gil, he'll probably be really pissed at getting routed through Kirby's insides. "Gross!")
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Kirby's insides are another dimension. He'd probably end up going 2001.
I was thinkin Smash rules where Gil would be spit back out after bein copied.
Either way this should be used as a last resort.
GIVE ME YOUR FACEAight, so. I'll sign us off.
This roleplay is dead.
I really am sorry. I had a pretty deep plan for this roleplay, everything from where we were when it finally stopped responding to the end. But life happened. I got less and less time to play this and eventually it just slipped my mind, and for that I'm sorry.
I feel no real urge at this time to update the game. I might try it again later, but for now I think it's time to just declare it dead so y'all don't waste any more time.
Personally I don't consider it a waste. It's given me a lot to learn about. Like not making "mysterious voice that sounds like a loved one" immediately state it isn't who you think it is. I think that's my biggest fuckup so far because it discarded something that could have been really interesting and just kinda made it really, really awkward. I think I also might need to adopt faster pacing in any efforts in the future, not just in "posts per day" but also in the general pace of the roleplay; if posting is slowing down I should probably skip ahead to interesting bits.
Either way, I've learned a bit from this while it lasted. Thanks for giving this a shot, even though it sputtered and died like almost every roleplay on this website. Fly safe.
I'll see you all in the future, perhaps.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Thanks for the RP, Sparty. I honestly had a lot of fun with you as the GM. Although it was slower than WAOA, I still enjoyed the pace we were going at for a long time.
This honestly was super cool, and I will probably use Emily again in a future RP. Thanks for the opportunity, and thanks for letting me create one of my favorite characters so far, Sparty.
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertYeah, I really liked the pace of this RP. And playing Kirby was fun. Hope we can RP together again some day.
See you space cowboy.
What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?Hey, as long as people had fun, and it looks like it did, then your rp was a success.
If it ever gets revived or a second iteration, call me up. I'd like a second go.
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)Ey it was fun and I got to use my Space Engineer for something other than planning a intricate and elaborate universe.
So fun there!
I'm here. And Kirby is hungry. Like always.
It's cool though, Gilgamesh is paying.
