Okay it takes a while to look things over since we have to work together, but here's the first batch.


@Beowulf: I don't really think that Caster is a good fit for what you have there. She has practically no actual magic, and seems like she punches stuff really hard. I suggest either changing class, or if you still want a caster, rework things. I'm guessing that you really like her Sjónhverfing skill, and maybe thought she had to be a caster for that? That skill, as it is written, is okay for any other class if you want to change.
As a couple minor notes, since her Strength is already B, that last skill of yours doesn't do anything. You can come up with another effect. Her NP, it feels slightly trivial for a trump card. You could actually just make that the skill that replaces Glima. Maybe not to "preposterous" levels, but to a lesser degree.

@Adrian: He seems perfectly fine, I really like how you rationalized all of his strengths and weaknesses as part of his history. That said, I just want to check one thing. I've seen Thespacephantom use a character with the same last name and the same weapon name in the past, I'm assuming you got permission for that or something? If you did then that's perfectly fine, but I want to make sure you're not using someone's stuff without permission. (Especially since they're in this game, so it might be awkward if we approve this character and then TSP logs in and mentions that this wasn't kosher)

@Hazzy: It's not really my business, but why a Berserker? That pretty much negates your 3 N Ps and probably won't make much use of your personal skills, and your Servant already has great stats except for END. With his stats, wouldn't Archer be a better choice?

That is true and I do have a Lancer idea on the backburn, but not all N Ps have to be active. See how Lancelot was capable of using his N Ps.

  • Brief Background: Arsene is the second child of the Gallois family, and thus was not gifted with the Crest of his family, that honor was accorded to his eldest sister, Celeste. He's known that he was second fiddle to his sister since they were young, the Spare to her Heir. This has fostered resentment towards her, and thus he's developed a path of Magecraft near diametrically opposed to the rest of his family. While they practice Spiritual and Mental Magecraft, he's focused entirely on Physical Magecraft, specializing in Runes.
  • Skills/Abilities: Arsene was born with a high number of circuits, befitting of a potential heir, though each circuit is individually rather low quality. He holds no Thaumaturgical Crest, being the second child and his sister's survival. His affinity is to Fire, allowing him to inscribe runes more efficiently via cauterizing them onto the target at a distance. He is an able combatant specializing in speed and using a runically enhanced pistol as his primary weapon/pseudo Mystic Code.
  • Equipment/Stuff:
    • A nameless semiautomatic pistol, runically enhanced for accuracy and ease of reloading.
    • Several reloads
    • His true Mystic Code, Blanc, a thin porcelain mask covered in traceries of minute runes. It enhances his perceptions to keep up with his runically enhanced speed.

  • Location: Arsene is staying in a mansion his family owns on the outskirts of the city. In addition to the standard defensive and alert-type Bounded Fields his family maintain around the property, he's added several layers of runic traps in strategic locations that will unleash gouts of flame upon unwary intruders.

  • Personality Blurb: Aeliana is a sweet girl who'd give you the shirt off her back, but she likes to be coy often and refuses to let people read her. Her real intentions for doing anything seem to always be hidden under a veneer of smiles and humor. In reality though she is a bit of a thrill seeker. She's always looking for the next plateau to reach, the limit to break. She can't stand it when someone would let themselves get complacent, maybe a little too much as she can force herself on people at times.
  • Brief Background: She's the latest heir of one of the most prestigious family of Magi in Italy. Money, Talent, Smarts, Looks: it seems like there's nothing she doesn't have, and that, is boring. She's spent her whole life with everything anyone could want, and she resents that. She's always craved struggle, and adversity, and the high that comes with surmounting a new obstacle. To this end she's bounced from competition to competition, it didn't seem like it mattered what so long as she had something to challenge her. She didn't always win, there would sometimes be someone that was able to best her, but that only made her want to get better and try again. When she found out about the Holy Grail War happening in Rome there was no way she'd let herself miss out.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Talented Gymnast: Aeliana's always had a penchanct for gymnastics and as a result is flexible and able to easily traverse environments.
    • Marksmanship: Ranged weapons just seem to come naturally to her. Bows, guns, slingshots, if it fires a projectile you can be she'll pick it up quickly.
    • Survival Skills: She has at times forced herself to survive in harsh enviornment, much to her family's dismay. She can cook, treat wounds, identify hazards, and build makeshift shelters if need be.
    • Prometheus: Her form of Magecraft and the recent evolution of the family magic. On the surface its simply the ability to produce fire but it can be so much more. Just as Prometheus pushed humans above animals with his gift of fire, Aeliana is able to push herself and others above their normal limits. She's able to light a conceptual fire that inspires people to go above and beyond. With it she can think faster, jump higher, lift more, and all around be better than what she normally is, though its not nearly on the level of a Servant.
    • Bolt: A secondary magecraft focused more towards combat, bolt essentially allows her to use her prana to create lightning blots of varying degrees of power. From a taser to a lethal lightning strike, additionally she can add the effect to a weapon she's wielding.
  • Equipment:
    • Desert Eagle x2: A girl's gotta defend herself and she can't do it with a pea shooter.
    • First Aid Kit: All ways good to have one.
    • Survival Knife:While she's not too good at using it to defend herself, it does see a lot of practical use.
    • Mars(I know the reference is out of place shaddap): Her Mystic Code, an undersuit that she often wears. Designed by her family to act as an extra set of magic circuts, to add to her already copious amount it greatly increases her prana output. The eye thing is entirely cosmetic.
  • Location: She's staying at her family estate in Rome for the duration of the war.

However, when it came down to it, his best friend and right-hand man Witige betrayed him for the promise of kingship, leaving Dietrich a bitter hatred against traitors of all kinds. He seems reluctant to take unnecessary battles, but this is because he harbors a fearsome rage, a rage that he tries to suppress. Also, despises the Catholic Church. He even killed a Pope

  • Noble Phantasm(s):
    • Eckesachs, Emperor's Blade(C): A sword baptised in dragon's blood and thusly bearing anti-dragon atributes, Dietrich won Eckesachs following a duel with the giant Ecke. Dietrich is capable of agilely wielding it despite its immense size due to a combination of his own prowess, strength and the sword's make.
    • Frau Saelde, Lady Luck's Blessing (B): After protecting a lost lady from der Wunderer, Dietrich learns that the maiden was none other than the personification of Luck herself. She blessed him to become undefeated in battle, ever victorious. This manifests itself in a large luck boost.
    • Hellfire, Machmet's Legacy (A): Fire is his heart and soul. The demon Machmet blessed Dietrich with the world's deadliest force of destruction to the deepest wellspring of his being. It can be conjured as an aura or channeled as firebreath. It is capable of piercing all defenses, as exemplified in Dietrich's duel against Siegfried, where he was close to killing the legendary dragonslayer . Given that this is a part of Dietrich's being, it is not sealed by mad enhancement; instead, he trades control for sheer power, loosing hellfire indiscriminately.

  • @Morgan le Fay: Cool, then. Just note that any sort of powerful mental magic meant to disable someone wouldn't work instantly, so NPCs and your fellow PCs would have a good chance to resist.

  • Personality Blurb: Yanzhao has two distinct personalities, that of the average knowledgeable businessman, and that of the obsessively curious and improvement oriented magus. Among his non-magical peers he acts like the first, and among fellow magi he reveals himself as the second. He is very willing to take people up as “academic equals”, but he is also equally willing to use people he considers “academically inferior”. He is currently single, for somewhat obvious reasons.
  • Brief Background: Several decades ago, a member of the Paoxi family of Chinese Magi emigrated to Italy during the Communist Civil War. As the Paoxi family were well known capitalists, they would of course be immediately targeted by communist forces. Due to this probable persecution, the Paoxi family disseminated through the world and quickly lost contact with one another. One specific member, Yanzhao’s mother, eventually married an Italian businessman. She was rather open with her husband about magic, and he turned out to be surprisingly alright with having her teach Yanzhao what she knew. Currently, Yanzhao has inherited his father’s position in his company, but still maintains high levels of magecraft practice in his spare time.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Wu Xing:
    • An Eastern variety of thaumaturgy incompatible with Western teachings. It uses the concepts of Yin and Yang as it’s foundation. Wu Xing Thaumaturgy can be flipped on command from a Yin (attacking or damaging) to a Yang (healing or repairing) state. As such, Wu Xing Thaumaturgy is very difficult to counter or reflect. It centers around the manipulation of five elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. Every spell is flavored with a specific element and each element comes with its own subset of associated materials. Yanzhao can only actualize magecraft involving Wood, Metal, and Water because of his elemental affinity.
    • Zhou Yi
    • Originally a source of divination magic, Yanzhao’s maternal bloodline has repurposed the original I Ching Hexagrams to function as conduits for thaumaturgy. By drawing 6 lines on something with his prana, Yanzhao can invoke the meaning of the chosen hexagram through thaumaturgy. At the most, he is able to string together three hexagrams without diluting their intensity. It functions in a manner similar to Western Runic Magecraft, albeit with more variety and specificity.
    • Breathing and Walking
    • Since birth, Yanzhao has had a natural predisposition to this technique. However, his lack of martial arts knowledge has lead to this potential being horribly wasted. Instead, he is able to recharge his magic circuits more easily by keeping his body in motion and through deep breathing.

    • Smith & Wesson Magnum Revolver: A simple, unadorned revolver Fellini keeps on him at all times. He is capable of aiming properly and shooting at a distance, as one would expect of someone with training in its use.
    • Héng-Dà Chù tattoo: A tattoo of the 32nd and 26th I Ching Hexagram, inked onto his back. He fills the Dà Chù portion daily with excess mana to fuel the Héng portion when necessary. When that half is activated, Yanzhao’s skin immediately becomes absurdly durable for a period of time dictated by just how much mana he put into storage. During activation, his skin darkens and loses some saturation. As an added side effect, his eyes will also lose their color and turn white while it is active. (Dà Chù - Great Storage, Héng - Persevering)
    • Bagua: A liquid amalgam of primordial elements stored in a small reinforced canister. When taken out, the liquid has no true purpose. This state is referred to as its Taiji Position. By applying a Wu Xing element to this liquid, Yanzhao can create a construct that is part familiar and part Mystic Code. Each “Elemental Position” of this Mystic code generates an elemental beast Yanzhao can use for a plethora of purposes, from reconnaissance to combat. When the Wood element is applied, Bagua becomes a leaf-wreathed eastern dragon. With Fire, a phoenix-like bird, with Earth a stony western dragon, with Metal a mercury-like tiger, and with Water a swirling serpentine turtle. Each of these appear to posses a liquid core, which is the catalyst for Bagua’s multiple elemental states.
    • Motorcycle: Yanzhao owns a motorbike, and it's what he uses to move around Rome, from going to work to just doing errands.
  • Location: Yanzhao was born and raised in Rome. He lives in an older style building in the middle of the city, alone. It is well furnished. He has a personal bounded field in the immediate area of his house, and nowhere outside of it.

In the meantime, I made status menu cards for all the servants so far. (WIP, take them with a grain of salt, especially since some of the data from the original VN servants was accidentally left in)

We are also still short two servants and three masters if we want to have all eight pairs.

Oh by the way, do any of you guys have Skype that I don't already have in my contacts? There's like a F/SN RP chat room on it that about half of us are in so far.

  • Personality Blurb: An exceedingly arrogant narcissist who believes himself to be better than everyone and everything before him. This does not preclude him from being kind or even generous at times, but he's not always the easiest person to get along with. He is also stubborn, bull-headed, and - in the opposite tack of the usual "proper" magus - very aggressive when it comes to plans, his first course of action usually being to go in with guns blazing after getting a minimum of information on the area of battle. In spite of his gung-ho attitude, however, he chooses to fight from a relative distance with his Mystic Codes and other guns.
  • Brief Background: Sam used to be a scion of an old, respected family of magi. The Patersons were considered a little eccentric even by magus standards for merging with the family of a major firearms and ammo manufacturer several generations back and being enthusiastic (again by magus standards) about firearms and modern technology, but they were also renowned for their skill in highly efficient prana-transfer methods and creation of prana "batteries". Those halcyon days faded into memory seven years ago, however, when a rival family burned down their expansive mansion and estate in California, killing everyone inside except for Sam himself. Using his family's techniques, he was able to salvage the Paterson Crest and a few other important possessions from the smouldering ruins. In the ensuing months, most of his inherited wealth was gobbled up by vulture-like distant relatives, but Sam persevered and completed his higher education as a magus. Having moved to Europe, he now lives in one of the rooms of a mid-tier hotel that he owns in Rome and chases his sorrows away with women and good wine. Being chosen for the Grail War set off a spark inside of him, however, re-igniting his powerful ambition to become something great beyond a mere playboy middling-hotel magnate sometimes-magus.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Average One: The rare kind of magus who is born with the ability to manipulate all five regular elemental affinities.
    • Paterson Crest: Contains a multi-familiar communication spell that can be extended to other willing targets, Contexatur; a mundane memory-wipe spell for use on normals, Dediscatur; the creation of the Paterson family's signature prana batteries, Contineatur; and the instant creation of magic circles, Inscribatur.
    • Prana Transmission: He's really, really good at it, and can quickly channel prana from ambient mana into other things with zero leakage.
    • Sharpshooter: Sam has knowledge of a multitude of different firearms, and can very easily hit a moving target at fifty paces or more.
    • Trilingual: Fluent in English, Italian, and Latin. Though some may say it's old-fashioned, most of his incantations are in Latin.
  • Equipment/Stuff:
    • Prana Batteries: Sam can turn practically any non-living object into a container for condensed prana, with zero decay of the prana stored within, regardless of how long it stays there. If the object is destroyed, the prana is released in an explosion proportionate to the amount of prana stored. The amount of prana an object can hold is directly proportional to its size and conductivity (for magecraft). Jewels, for example, are highly prana-conductive.
    • Prana Cartridges: Technically not all cartridges, but a catch-all term for all of Sam's magecraft-infused ammo. He can enchant bullets to cause anything they hit to be afflicted by small gouts of flame, a small area of frozenness, mild electrocution, and so on. The real fun comes in when he utilizes his techniques on cartridges for shotguns. Instead of firing bullets, said cartridges cause the weapons they're loaded with to fire beams of prana that travel in a straight line, and also allow them to switch between "spell" mode (the same as being hit by an enchanted bullet, except more severe) or generic destructive prana beam mode. Each cartridge contains only a single element, however (the Aether one just lets it fire a bigger beam). One cartridge can fire fourteen shots before being depleted. Sam can enchant bullets in a matter of seconds, but it takes him twelve hours of work to charge seven cartridges, and he has fourteen total at his disposal. Making more would take at least two days and require regents.
    • Seven Deadly Sins: From left to right: Invidia, Acedia, Avaritia, Superbia, Ira, Gula, Luxuria. Sam's trump cards, a series of seven autonomously-operating sawed-off shotguns possessed by the individual spirits of seven women, meaning they are familiars of sorts. The spirits sustain their existence via link with their master or consumption of other human souls, but in order to actually be used in combat, they must be loaded with one of Sam's pre-charged prana cartridges. Once so loaded, they may manifest in a weak corporeal form, even allowing them to wield one another, though this human form is as physically weak as an average human, cannot fire its own attacks while manifested, and can only last an hour at most. Sam tends to have them use their humanoid forms for normal familiar duties when not anticipating combat.

      In gun form, they are able to float autonomously at twenty miles per hour and turn on a dime, and they are much more durable than mundane firearms. They also maintain the sensory perception of an average human being with respect to their exteriors, and can speak in their normal voices, though the sound comes out with a bit of an echo. Their gun forms can shoot of their own volition and their attacks function in the same manner as those of other guns loaded with the aforementioned cartridges. After about 14 discharges (less if it spent time in human form), one must be re-charged by insertion of a non-depleted cartridge or recharging of the existing one. When in transit, Sam carries them in a large, conspicuous briefcase that is by his side at all times. One of his greatest fears is secretly that one will be stolen, damaged, or destroyed.
    • Tons o' Guns: As the firearms business was the one thing his magus relatives didn't take from him (not thinking it to be of any value to them), Sam had practically unlimited access to guns and ammo while preparing for the Grail War. Actually getting them into Italy, however, was another matter entirely. He ended up paying some very nice gentlemen from the local Mafia a reasonable amount of money (plus black market discounts) to divert shipments of his own goods as they passed through the nearby port. In any case, he has a veritable armory hidden somewhere in Rome.
