By the way guys, when I post the next update with you arriving at the three columns, each would have a symbol your character associates with strength/defense/mind (or magic) to denote what to pick when they're told to accept and reject these qualities.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."So, for example, Mike would see a Manablade and spellbook of offense for Attack, a Manafield/shield and a spellbook of defensive magic for Defence, and a staff and spellbook of most magic for Mind?
Well, perhaps the spellbook bit should be saved for just the Magic Column, though yeah that would work.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."I'd hate to sound impatient, but is this thing still going?
Should be...
Yeah... maybe there's something that we were supposed to do at the pilars... or Kkut is busy
The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song.I think there's someone else that still has to do the pillar thing. I'm hoping for either that or Kkut is just busy.
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertSorry, I was a bit worried about what starter abilities to give you guys. Though I'll admit I didn't mean to take this long, and would of updated yesterday except the internet was being all crappy. So, what do you guys think of your starter abilities? Oh, and I intend to showcase a "game mechanic" by giving each player a new ability based off the monsters they fought. Basically, by defeating enough of one monster you'll develop a new Ability based off them in some way. For example, Jania would develop a variant Dash Storm, with much shorter range but vastly more speed.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."@Kkut: Could you elaborate on my character's ability [Barred Law] the description is sort of... vague.
The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song. You can make twilight bars anywhere, with them mainly being weaponized by air materialization because they lack gravitational defiance.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."All my abilities look good, though [Spike] kinda feels odd in Quif's kit. I mean, I get that he needs something strictly offensive to let him actually do damage to his enemies, but with the whole defense aspect it feels weird. He can use the earth around him to create a shield, so why not have an ability to break that shield with ease and use it to go offensive instead? Plus, I kinda want to draw these monsters, would a "Big, Medium, Small" chart be good? Or are these types of monsters only going to be seen for a short time?
These are basically your guys' Shadows, so they'll be the most commonly encountered version of your Inner Demons. Regarding size, about the same if not more cat-like in stature. Regarding [Spike], I saw it more as a finisher move for breaking guards or killing enemies.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."And I guess I should ask, but are we allowed to finish off all five? Or should we wait?
Alice's powers are spot-on. Good job.
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertI was mainly just going to make an update to give you guys an idea what kind of Ability you would develop, though I could instead just explain what kind of attack they would use and let you guys finish them off since this is more of a tutorial battle for them to understand their Abilities anyways.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."I kinda fell in line and left a couple enemies like everyone else. Didn't want to desync Quif.
Is this dead? Because I really would rather it not be dead.
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertIt isn't dead, I just got distracted with Queen's Faith. I'll work something up tomorrow.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Oh, phew. Good to know.
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertUpdates are slow. Don't worry, I'm expecting about 5-6 days per gm post :p
You guys can just straight vanquish your monsters for this battle though, so...
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."That wouldn't really make much sense for Jania. She's still getting used to her abilities and'd be lucky to even hit 1, let alone the fact her abilities are more utility and defensive than something to easily crush opponents with.
Of course I could just make them deaf with Weaving tongue and then beat the crap out of them, but that doesn't make a lot of sense considering she hardly has the time to react already and most certainly has no time to think of using her powers like that. And y'know, adjusting to them.
I edited my post to finish off all the enemies. No need to make another post, really.
I'm really not up for writing right now, so: Sano and Tojin, will you kill all your enemies this round?
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."
Posting here to show I can.
